Very slow. After we were seated, we waited almost one hour to get our food. Ordered the carbonara and a seafood pasta. Carbonara was great and the other one not so much. The server was very nice and apologized for the delay, but with so many options in Trastevere, I’d probably choose a different restaurant in the future.

The best food in Trastevere. Nothing to recommend about the food itself. Everything is delicious without exception. Check out the daily specials. The place is small and without a reservation you'll have to wait. But it's worth it. A must-visit if you're in Trastevere.

If you're looking for the perfect eggplant parmigiana, head straight to Box 58 (Le Mani in Pasta) at the Testaccio Market! I tried it last Saturday and it was simply amazing: rich, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned, yet not heavy. Authentic flavors that take you back in time.
A special thanks to Alessandro for the cooking tips, a touch of class! I made a great impression at the table. You've won me over, and I'll definitely be making it again next Saturday. You're absolutely fantastic, congratulations!

The best pasta of my life... and I've had quite a few! 😇 Italy (Rome) at its most authentic, the atmosphere was like something out of a movie. The food, however, was absolutely incredible, delicious, and indulgent. The servers were incredibly attentive. Thank you so much for this experience... Reservations are recommended 😉 otherwise, you can also wait in line because the view from the restaurant is worth it too!! See you soon, I hope. ✊🏼

This was my fourth time here over 8 years. This past visit was a solid grade C. My grilled seafood was overcooked and dried out. Slower than usual service. Regretfully, le Mani is not what it once was - especially for the prices they charge.

Location
The restaurant is located in one of Trastevere's most picturesque alleys. The atmosphere inside is that of a typical Roman osteria, but with a refined and intimate touch. The space is small and the tables are quite close together—which is very Roman—but the atmosphere remains welcoming and distinctive. If you're looking for a quiet place, it might not be ideal, but the restaurant's energy is part of its charm.
Menu
This is the real highlight. Here, Roman tradition meets fresh seafood, and the combination works perfectly. The fresh pasta dishes (made in-house, as the name suggests) are exceptional: the fettuccine with shrimp and truffle is now an institution, as is the tonnarelli allo scoglio. The traditional classics and the fish of the day are also excellent. The portions are generous, and the quality of the ingredients is evident.
Service
The staff stands out for their approach, far removed from the clichés of a typical Roman osteria: their welcome is decidedly more formal, composed, and extremely polite. Although the dining room is often hectic due to the constantly busy restaurant, table management is precise, fast, and well-organized. The team is attentive to requests and is always ready to clearly explain the day's specials. Given the large number of diners, advance reservations are essential to secure a table.
Bill
The quality-price ratio is absolutely fair. It's not the cheapest osteria in Rome, but considering the fresh fish, homemade pasta, and central location in Trastevere, the price is more than justified. A full dinner averages between €40 and €55 per person, a fair price for the quality offered.

The food was fine, but the waiter was too slow. It took forever to pay the bill. From asking for the bill to finally paying, at least twenty minutes passed. He was busy with this and that, and just wouldn't come.
