I put 4/5 stars because the all you can eat formula allows you to order a maximum of 3 courses per order and given the presence of many customers it causes slowdowns in the service. In short, if you are in a hurry perhaps it is not the best

19/07/2025: We went to Albori restaurant motivated by the good reviews and its prime location within a hotel in Bellagio. The terrace is, without a doubt, the highlight of the place: spectacular views of the lake are well worth a visit, even if just for a drink. And, in fact, that's what we would recommend. We ordered a red and a white vermouth upon arrival, but the presentation was very basic: they simply poured the vermouth into the glass without any preparation, garnish, or accompaniment. Nothing special, neither in the gesture nor in the content. As a courtesy, they offered us a small tuna tartar with cream, which was adequate, although the tuna itself wasn't of outstanding quality. For a starter, we shared a beef carpaccio with tuna foam and olives. The carpaccio was dry, the foam flavorless, and the whole thing was quite bland. For main courses, we ordered sea bass with Mediterranean sauce and sirloin with meat sauce. The sea bass was dry and came with a tomato sauce that reminded us of ketchup, poorly blended and somewhat forced. The battered squash blossoms and overcooked vegetables didn't lift the dish. The sirloin, although tender, lacked flavor, and the accompanying pico de gallo and baked potatoes were completely out of step with what one would expect from a restaurant that bills itself as Italian haute cuisine. Overall, the dishes lacked consistency and flavor. The presentation of the dishes was good, and the service, although attentive, was somewhat oppressive. They wouldn't let us finish our plates or drinks without immediately trying to clear them or refill them, as if they were in a hurry to free up the table, even though the terrace wasn't full and there were no customers waiting. In short, Albori Restaurant offers a spectacular setting that is certainly worth enjoying, but the dining experience doesn't live up to the location or the expectations created. We would recommend stopping for a drink to admire the views, but not staying for lunch or dinner.

15/07/2025: One of the single best restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. We did the tasting menu and were blown away. Diverse flavors, things I had never tried, incredible service, etc. I highly recommend reserving a table.

29/07/2025: A lovely surprise at this stopover hotel: a delicious dinner awaited us after a long day of driving. Spacious room, comfortable beds, and very helpful staff. The next day, a generous buffet breakfast was served. What more could you ask for?

13/07/2025: We've had lunch there several times, even in the winter, and it's always been great. The staff is friendly, and we even ate outside on a very hot and muggy day, but it was really nice inside. The traditional dishes and appetizers are good. The tart is fantastic.

23/06/2025: Unfortunately this time we were disappointed. After waiting more than 15 minutes to come and take the order, between the appetizer and the first course, more than half an hour passed and then we ate but not all 4 together but separately. After two hours from the arrival I was also the last one to eat. The meat was not done well and very very salty. I think I can safely say that it was the last time we ate here.

04/04/2025: Despite having lived in Lurate Caccivio for years I had never been there but needing to get a couple of takeaway pizzas I thought of them. I must say that the quality of the pizza is not bad, nothing exceptional but still good. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of food offered in addition to the pizza itself (see chicken, meatballs and more). In my opinion the prices are convenient in relation to the food offered. The only thing, in my opinion, is that I would give the premises a refresh but for the rest the opinion is positive.

14/06/2025: We stayed at the Hotel Funicolare as a couple for a few days and discovered the restaurant while taking our dog for a walk. It was quite late, but the blonde young lady was very friendly and still set the table especially for us. The food on all three evenings was really delicious 😋 I'd say it was hearty, home-cooked Italian food, even if the portions are a bit smaller, but it's also cheaper. The dessert is homemade and impressive 👌 It was very quiet there, unless there was someone sitting next to you who was loud. Although the lady was afraid of dogs because of a recent incident, our dog (knee-high) was welcome there. The WiFi is quite strong here. There is also plenty of parking. We can't comment on the rooms or the breakfast, but it's definitely worth a try.

12/06/2025: No, no, and no again. Never again. The portions wouldn't even feed a small baby, and the prices are too high. Very disappointed with the food and, in fact, with the entire region. We'll definitely never be back.

04/07/2025: Ordered pizza and gelato. The pizza was not great, perhaps the ingredients were not as fresh as I expected. The gelato was pretty good. The server was attentive, patient and friendly. This might be the only Gelateria in Brunate.

02/07/2025: The view was good. Food was decent. The service was horrible. All other tables were served with mats and proper greetings. Except for us. The waitress didn't bother to serve us just because we weren't white. We had to ask for everything twice before she did her job. It is not like we are paying any less. Very unprofessional behaviour.

20/07/2025: We almost didn’t dine here because of the bad reviews. But honestly, I’m so glad we went anyways. The food was so fresh and delicious. Very versatile menu, and daily specials.
