24/07/2025: I honestly can't explain all the reviews. Starting with the small place, without even using tablecloths. Then getting to the dishes and products used, if you have even a modicum of cooking experience, you'll do better. We ordered pasta for the two children, and it arrived undercooked. But I say, if you know it's for two children, leave it a minute longer. My first course was fish, where the fish was actually just in the crumbles to add flavor. For my second course, a chicken steak, which was actually nothing more than a good sliced Aia roll. When the bill came, there wasn't even a receipt... I would have loved to leave without paying. How embarrassing.

27/06/2025: Fuimos a cenar cuando nos alojamos localmente por dos noches y el viento estaba levantado y la orilla del lago soplaba. Aunque mo reserva, muchas mesas tenían un cartel, se mostró a una mesa exterior encantadora en la terraza en el parque no hay problema. Personal amable y servicial, delicioso entrante de jamón y melón y pizza y lasaña platos principales con delicioso vino por copa (4 copas). Todo por 80€ parecía una buena relación calidad-precio. Volvería. Lo recomendaría. Espero que la reseña sea útil.

27/06/2025: Wonderful little pub/enoteca in the heart of Menaggio - tucked away in an alley is Bar Al Paladar - wonderful attentive service, great wine selection, first time I’ve seen Barbera on a list in Como 🙌🍷and it was only €4 a glass - 😳 great little appetizer snacks some pizza slices, chips and crackers. A great chill place away from the crowds - search it out, you’ll be glad.

17/07/2025: Disappointing – unfortunately not recommended Nice ambiance with atmospheric lighting and live music – unfortunately, the music was so loud that it was difficult to hold a conversation. The service was friendly, but extremely slow: drinks took over 30 minutes, a long wait overall. The chef's welcome was nice (Parmesan & salami), but with dry bread. The appetizer was disappointing; the food, while nicely presented, lacked flavor. The "ravioli" turned out to be dumplings – unfortunately, neither suitable nor particularly good. In the end, as non-hotel guests, we had to pay an extra €5 per person – without any prior notice. Overall: the most expensive restaurant of our trip, but unfortunately also the most disappointing.

11/07/2025: Chic restaurant with a great terrace! Very nice ambiance with a view of the lake. The food is high quality and reasonably priced. Pasta was delicious. Service was also friendly, and they even offer a welcome drink. Highly recommended for a special evening. We recommend making a reservation.

11/07/2025: We stopped here for an apertivo and it was a wonderful experience! Great cocktails and excellent service from Mohamed. We really enjoyed ourselves and the amazing views!

23/06/2025: Beware! We booked a table for three at Sotto Voce while staying in Como over Easter 2025. As it turned out, we were unable to go because our son was unwell. We cancelled online, as that is how we'd made our booking (although we never actually received a confirmation from the restaurant). Two days later, we saw that we'd been charged €300 by the restaurant as a late cancellation fee. After taking this up with the restaurant and our credit card company, we were informed that buried in the small print in the restaurant's booking terms is a €100 per person late cancellation charge. Yes, you read that right. €100 per person! Our party was two adults and an 11 year old. Still they charged us €300. Now, aside from the fact we would never have spent €300 on a meal at this place, and that we don't feel this 'penalty' charge was made clear when we booked, how is it reasonable to charge that much? We are now pursuing the matter through the Italian consumer watchdog, the Autorità Garante della Concorrenza e del Mercato. Book a table at this place at your peril.
