17/04/2025: Visiting from the tristate area in the US, so very familiar with Thai food. We were sick of all of the pizza and pasta and wanted a change. We were delightfully surprised. Food was delicious!

22/03/2025: Nice place, you can also drink quite well, the problem is that if you ask for extra chips they don't bring them to you. Alternatively you are offered to buy a miserable cutting board with salami and mortadella for the modest sum of 10 euros. Everything is fine but that cutting board is definitely not worth 10 euros.

09/03/2025: We went to this pizzeria because of the good reviews - unfortunately we can't understand that. When making the caprese, the tomatoes were sour and not ripe. The rolls with the olive oil were not fresh, probably 1-2 days old. The lasagna tasted like the ready-made lasagne from Aldi - especially the béchamel sauce. The carbonara was quite tasty, but still not recommended.

09/03/2025: The carbonara was very tasty. Unfortunately that was it. The salad, mozzarella caprese was an imposition. Not dressed or even salted! I like my cheap, ready-made salad from Aldi better (at least I have a dressing). The lasagne was equally miserable. Worse than any supermarket lasagna. Afterwards I also had a stomach ache and felt sick. I can't say anything about pizza, but the one from the table next door looked good. I think that's the best way to drive if you end up in this place.

14/04/2025: Let me start by saying that it is a pub that I have always enjoyed frequenting, but recently things have really changed. Around 9.00 on Sunday 13.04.25 I go as usual to buy a pack of cigarettes. Given the time that was passing, which I didn't initially complain about since it was Sunday for me and I wasn't in a hurry, I decided to eat a brioche. I won't go into details, but I can safely say that it's quicker to do an international check-in at Malpensa. The gentleman at the cash register, who I believe is the owner, was rude and slow, slow, slow for no apparent reason... my guys, a smile if you want to do this job, otherwise go to the factory, with all due respect for those who find themselves having to work in the factory... I'm disappointed, I wish we could go back to its former splendors! applause to the staff between the tables who always smile and say hello!

29/03/2025: I have been linked to the Rifugio Menaggio since my childhood because we “vacationed” in Plesio. Now that I am (almost) 60 years old and have a house in Plesio, the views from the refuge and the surrounding destinations still excite me. It had been a long time since I had lunch there and I give them full marks. Polenta uncia and apple pie prepared with passion, coffee from the moka and genepy completed a very pleasant lunch. I have seen negative comments about the service and friendliness, but I think that if you want to be served and revered in Comolake style, I suggest staying to drink a spritz on the lakeside in Menaggio.

30/03/2025: I have been there several times, both at noon for business lunches with colleagues and in the evening with my family. I am usually undecided between a "gourmet hamburger" and the fillet (always excellent). Both are accompanied with potatoes with Burmet sauce, a must. There are more traditional hamburgers and others that are a little bit special. In the photo you can see one of the "strange" hamburgers, it is aptly called Atlantide and it is with octopus tentacles. Every now and then, for a few days, the menu is enriched by a "themed" hamburger, like the Halloween hamburger or the one for the first days of spring.

22/03/2025: I return to Burmet as soon as I have the chance. The location is very nice, the staff helpful and attentive to customer needs. The sandwiches are excellent, very delicious and original in their combinations. The prices are honest. Good choice of beers. I recommend booking on the weekend and considering the location also for an aperitif or lunch

Ambos pasteles estaban muy bien presentados y absolutamente delicioso. ¡Cada rodaja fue comida por nuestros huéspedes! El personal es muy amable y servicial, que era genial cuando teníamos tantas otras cosas que organizar. ¡Muchas gracias!
