15/01/2026: If you want to eat fish in Brescia, I highly recommend this place. It's very well prepared, and the service is excellent. They use olive oil to fry the fish. The restaurant is very clean, and the price is reasonable for the quality of the food. I would definitely go back if I were staying longer.

24/10/2025: I was there for a convention, so I can't comment on the lunch, only on the refreshments, where I found the snacks very good and the service excellent. Otherwise, the place is very nice, welcoming, and the rooms are clean.

You're pampered with their specialties, the unique tasting menu, the special liqueur... A fantastic place, one of the very few that make me break the habit of changing venues when I'm away for work. 12/03/2026: A restaurant with thoughtful and balanced decor, it's a feast for the eyes, relaxing, and inspiring. The owners offer a warm welcome, treating you like a guest. The menu features a few carefully curated options, as befits an osteria; the wine selection is excellent. The ingredients are excellent, as are the suggestions and food options; they are professional and dedicated to their customers' enjoyment. Highly recommended.

04/03/2026: It's true, it's an important place, and that might be a limitation, but then you walk in and everything envelops you... Time transports you to the splendor of the 1920s, with spectacular chandeliers, silver candelabras, blown glassware, embroidered tablecloths with antique furniture, walls rich in history, and pleasant background music. It's not "my" place, but it can't help but captivate me and put me at ease. I open the menu and the prices shock me! However, the €10 glass of wine turns out to be a balloon as big as my face, twice the normal volume (an excellent Montepulciano, by the way). I smile at my friend as we choose two first courses from the many available for €25, but when the tagliatelle with black Garda truffle (generously distributed) and the award-winning homemade pasta with grapes, blueberries, and crispy pancetta arrive, we can't help but share a stunned grimace. Mrs. Sabina (I hope I'm not mistaken) is the added value. She loves her job; she advises, describes, and accompanies you throughout the evening, but always...on tiptoe. In the end, when you've truly had a great time, even the cost becomes secondary. You've treated yourself to an experience, a "pampering" that will remain in your memory.

09/02/2026: I'd been hearing good things about it for a few years. I took the opportunity to wander around Brescia city center for an aperitivo. I booked a couple of days in advance because I'd read that the place was quite small and often packed. I confirmed my spot via WhatsApp for an hour and a half (there were probably other reservations later). We arrived easily and were pleasantly surprised by the view of the alley where the place is located. Roman ruins and a castle in the background, truly spectacular. The place consists of a long, narrow room with a couple of counters: a larger one on the left with pizzas/focaccias and a smaller one near the entrance with a cash register and gelato station. The atmosphere is warm and pleasant, thanks in part to the vaulted brick ceiling, which is truly a feast for the eyes. The young lady who welcomed us was truly kind and smiling. She led us to a small room in the back, with three tables set up in the restaurant's storage room, featuring classic aluminum shelving and very dim lighting. The main room is decidedly more welcoming and well-kept; the second (ours) room is smaller, a bit dark, and understandably adapted to accommodate more seating. When we asked for a menu, they explained that there wasn't one, and they explained some of the options verbally (personally, I'd prefer something written in front of me, even just a sheet of paper with a few cocktails or drinks). We were persuaded by the SURLO, their aperitif/bitter, which is the equivalent of Brescia's Pirlo. We paired it with two slices of pizza we'd spotted on the counter as we passed: one a sort of marinara, with anchovies, olives, and garlic, and the other with Pak-choi cabbage and pestom (fresh salami dough). We loved the Surlo! The flavors were excellent, a little too much ice, but really enjoyable. The pizzas are the highlight! The slice isn't too big, divided into 6 squares, but it's really good! Light dough, excellent ingredients, and balanced flavors. Price for the Surlo: €5 Price for a slice of pizza: €5 All in all, a nice aperitif, in a beautiful location but with room for improvement in some areas, and at a decidedly good price. We'll be back.

23/01/2026: Aperitifs are strictly sürlo (but there's also an excellent selection of wines by the glass) accompanied by fabulous pizzas. Interesting flavor combinations on top-quality leavened products.

08/03/2026: The fries were good... Because the rest of the dishes took over an hour to arrive. In the meantime, one of the guests ate her pasta dish, which arrived about forty minutes before the rest of the food. It's a shame because the interior is very nice and the service was quick to take the order. The dishes were also good. I should point out that it was a no-brainer, since everyone else had the mixed fried fish.
