07/10/2025: We're here on vacation for two weeks, exploring Northern Italy. We've eaten at various places, but here at the "Milano," the food is simply delicious and authentic Italian. We were also looking for a restaurant, but all the others were closed, and we were pleasantly surprised. The ambiance is just right: an old, historic house with a restaurant to match. The restaurant features great photos and paintings on the walls by the Lake Idro painter Frederico Vaglia. Everything is just perfect, and the staff is even more so... Thank you for the friendly service and the excellent food!

03/10/2025: We only ate here. Therefore, no review of the hotel. Actually, a little out of desperation. And as sometimes happens, the surprise worked. Authentic Italian food in a wonderful dining room, with only locals besides us. Highly recommended. Delicious and reasonably priced.

02/10/2025: Unassuming from the outside, inside you receive a very friendly welcome and are shown to your seat. Very friendly staff. You are not immediately rushed to order, but have plenty of time to study the menu. We opted for pizza. Very large pizza, bigger than the plate, thin crispy base that isn't drowned in tomato sauce. Plenty of toppings. Overall, our first visit was excellent and it won't be the last. The menu is very extensive; you have to try everything. Excellent value for money. As for what they say, Italy (especially Lake Garda) is no longer something Germans can afford (I can't hear it anymore). In Germany we would have easily paid €15 more for what we ordered, including tip.

29/09/2025: We found this restaurant thanks to the great recommendation here on Google Maps, and we can only confirm it. The food is amazing, the service is fantastic. I can only recommend it!

18/10/2025: A larger and more welcoming spot than others, the piadina is served on a small wooden tray rather than by hand, and the staff are friendly. The only flaw is that the window display is broken.

14/09/2025: Good morning, we stayed two nights at this property for a corporate event and I must say I was warmly welcomed, the rooms clean and tidy, and the decor simple. Lunch and dinner are also available. We had excellent pizza, and the staff was very welcoming and attentive to guests' needs. The location was appreciated for its quiet location, as it's close to Desenzano. I will repeat the experience on a future occasion. RECOMMENDED!! Paola Marocco

21/09/2025: They give you a time to get up. 14 of us, with a newborn and a two-year-old and a birthday boy, had to stuff ourselves to get up from the table. On top of that, the next customer argued with my niece, saying they'd been waiting for a while, and the owner didn't even intervene (and the woman with the newborn had to give the bottle outside the restaurant). Shame on me, I don't recommend it to anyone.

02/09/2025: Nothing to say about the location.....but there is no pizza dough....all dough similar to Roman pinsa...heated in an electric oven!

11/08/2025: The pizza from La Piola is always good. If you have the chance, go and I recommend booking in advance because it's always full and it's good.

18/08/2025: Quite a welcoming place, lots of varieties of both pizza and schiacciata, the latter recommended, thin and light dough, rich in mozzarella and ingredients, also worth trying, the classic pizzas are really large compared to the average, improve the place without air conditioning in the hottest periods

11/08/2025: I've been to Diego's many times. But this time, it was an experience I wouldn't repeat. Excessive heat. Customers fanning themselves with menus and wiping their faces with napkins. Few ceiling fans, and ineffective. The air conditioning was off, or at least acted as if it were. The beer got warm after 5 minutes. I would have left before ordering, but I wasn't alone. The pizza described as having tomato sauce on the menu arrived practically without it... and with a bit of black crust.

12/10/2025: Finding a great restaurant is like finding a rare gem... and we found it in Soiano. Villa Aurora appears discreet from the outside, but inside it reveals an elegant and comfortable atmosphere. We began with appetizers: their specialty, the mushroom tart with Bagoss cheese sauce, absolutely delicious; smoked duck breast with Parmesan tart, a delicate first course and a flavorful second course; a classic octopus with potatoes and fish-stuffed zucchini flowers with cream cheese, a risky but successful combination. We shared homemade spaghetti alla chitarra with duck ragù that literally melted in your mouth. The main courses began with a guinea fowl crusted with vegetables, flavorful and crispy; the sautéed kidney, enriched by cooking it with apples and Calvados, leaving it soft and flavorful; all washed down with white wine (Lugana) and then red wine (Lagrein). We couldn't resist trying their desserts. Let's leave aside the starred presentation and move on to the flavor... absolutely delicious and tasty, from the fresh fruit salad with ice cream to the puff pastry tart with strawberries, Chantilly cream, and hazelnut cream, a classic flavor with a modern twist. Coffee and after-dinner drinks served with homemade pastries... everything so perfect, it reached excellence. Unfortunately, the October weather didn't allow us to enjoy the outdoor patio... it will be an excuse to return during the summer season 🤗
