21/07/2025: We went to A Lumia in Brescia for the first time. I'd been wanting to try it for a while, but for one reason or another, I'd never gotten around to it. Today we finally went. We were curious to try the panelle, but unfortunately they weren't available, nor were any other items on the menu. We opted for a caponata, which turned out to be very good, and three arancini. Unfortunately, the rice was completely overcooked; the grain had turned into a sort of cream. The cheese inside was hard and wouldn't melt. The breading also left a bit to be desired. We mentioned this to the owner; initially, she seemed a bit annoyed, but her son appreciated our mentioning it and recognized the value of constructive criticism. We also tried a sandwich with Nebrodi mortadella and primo sale cheese: good, yes, but nothing exceptional. It's a shame the sandwiches aren't made with Sicilian bread; we'd been told that, but in my opinion, traditional bread would have really made a difference. The cannoli was decent, quite good. The service was courteous and helpful. The restaurant, however, leaves a bit to be desired: the atmosphere is very old, neglected, and with obvious signs of damp. I think it needs a major renovation. We spent €26 in total.

14/07/2025: The pizza tasted okay – nothing special, but solid. Unfortunately, that was all the positives. The waiter asked early on if they understood Italian – no. And from that moment on, everything seemed like a deliberate scam. Three supplì suddenly appeared on the bill – small rice balls that were never ordered, never seen, never eaten. On top of that, there was a coperto for €2.50 per person. There was no mention of this on the menu, and nothing in direct view at the entrance either. Italian law stipulates that a coperto must be clearly and visibly marked, e.g., on the menu or clearly legible at the entrance. That wasn't the case here, at least for us. The real shock came later – the bill wasn't examined more closely until we got to the hotel. On site, the waiter was polite, friendly, and even tipped – because the service seemed pleasant at first. In retrospect, you feel deliberately deceived and exploited. Yes – the total price was still reasonable, especially compared to Germany or other tourist areas. But that doesn't justify tricks or unfair billing. Honesty costs nothing – and would have led to a completely different rating here. Had everything gone correctly, 4 stars would have been realistic. Instead, all that remains is anger and disappointment. A clear warning to tourists: If you don't look closely, you'll end up paying for things you never ordered. The friendliness is a facade – the bill reveals the true colors. 2 stars – and that's only because the pizza was still acceptable. The rest was disrespectful. --- The pizza was discreet – nothing special, but acceptable. Purely, it's the only positive aspect of this experience. All'inizio the camera has chiesto se capivamo l'italiano - abbiamo risposto di no. This moment, now the impression of this is a trappola for tourists. The rice is made from our own supplies, which is not available in ordinary form, but can be seen and produced in many different ways. Inoltre è stateto aggiunto a cover of 2.50€ per person. The menu is not indicative of the chiara, and is not visible until it is clearly visible. 23/07/2025: When we're in Valcamonica, we always pop in for a good pizza. The staff is young, knowledgeable, and friendly. The pizza dough is excellent, light, and crispy (you can also choose from whole wheat and rye flour). The Pater Linus amber beer is delicious. The outdoor area (covered dining room with a large window) is currently being renovated and will be a real gem.

18/07/2025: A quaint, welcoming, and well-maintained restaurant. The menu is varied, with classic and creative options. The pizzas we ate were excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful. Compliments to the pizza chef and his assistant! Recommended for pizza lovers and more...I'll definitely be back!!!

27/07/2025: I went to Trattoria Carlo e Fornaci – perfect service, friendly and professional. I ordered the tagliata, which tasted good but unfortunately was tough and sinewy. They kindly changed the knife twice. It happens. I'll gladly return, though; I know this area well. For dessert, I had one of the best tiramisu I've ever tasted. The house red wine, Dolcetto, was also excellent, and to finish, I had a coffee with Sambuca. I mentioned the tough meat, but I'll gladly give it another try – next time, I'll try the donkey stew or the pork shank.

23/06/2025: Decent pizzeria. Great lack of style in the owner who asks to pay in cash and is convinced to accept the debit card only after a long discussion. His comments about people walking around without cash are not very welcome. His attempt at a joke towards the waiter by saying to go get the rifle, even less so.

02/08/2025: I agree with all the positive reviews: Very nice and friendly service (despite my limited Italian skills), fantastic, handmade, and extremely delicious baked goods at an incredibly reasonable price – you'd pay almost double for them at the relevant chains in Germany. Parking is right next to the shop. I'd be happy to go back, highly recommended! Grazie!

13/07/2025: A wide variety of breads and pastries, each with its own unique character, but all delicious thanks to the authenticity of the ingredients and the skillful craftsmanship. Friendly service. The space is a bit small, but the atmosphere is bright, clean, and tidy.

11/03/2025: Trattoria Verolese DOC! If you want to taste typical Brescian cuisine, you are in the right port! Fast, friendly and top food!! The fried cake, needless to say, is a must eat! I also recommend business lunches, with various dishes to choose from.

02/03/2025: Typical trattoria in the lower Brescia area, the fried gnocco and the really good, quality cured meats. Penne with salmì too sweet for my tastes. Very good cut.

08/07/2025: Visited for a graduation dinner on the veranda. Excellent service, as were the meat and fish dishes, first courses, and so on.

31/07/2025: Questo hotel è stato una piacevole sorpresa... camera pulita e spaziosa, sala da pranzo ampia e luminosa, come la sala della prima colazione. Colazione completa e abbondante per tutti i gusti, abbiamo solo cenato, e la cucina è veramente ottima, anche solo come ristorante merita la lode. Personale simpatico e professionale. Ampio parcheggio, portico esterno per passare, nel nostro caso, il dopocena. Spero la recensione sia utile per chi decide di passare per questo hotel/ristorante.

14/07/2025: On February 26, I book a table for July 17, my daughter's birthday. The restaurant confirms the booking. On July 14, I visit the website again to check the menu. It states in large letters, "We will be closed for vacation from July 15." No information from the restaurant, and no cancellation of my table. In response to my email asking whether this is true, I receive the following email: “Buonasera Sig. Schmidt, Le avrei scritto domani mattina. Purtroppo and lavori di manutenzione iniziano domani. Hanno anticipated. So no molto spiacente ma devo confermarle che giovedì not saremo agibili. Posso consult the ristorante Nineteen proprio dietro noi. There is a beautiful garden in a magnifico. My face was already open to the prenotation My opinion is that it is a cosa imprevista grace Aldo.” Why wasn't I informed earlier? Two days before a family celebration, I'm left without the table I reserved five months in advance... I have absolutely no understanding for this kind of business practice – it's indecent!

24/06/2025: Super nice little winery. Gabriela is fantastic, so friendly and lovely. We tried a lot and bought a lot because the food is so delicious here 😂 If you want to eat, you have to let them know in advance or make a reservation via the website. My favorite is Irma – who or what she is – go there and find out. :) Happy enjoying!

19/06/2025: Without a doubt the best winery in and around town! A must visit if you are in the area. We stumbled upon this amazing winery yesterday and although it was about to close we were welcomed with such warmth and friendliness by host we instantly knew we had to come back. And we are glad we did Today we returned and were treated to a great experience. Delicious wines, amazing olive oil, home made charcuterie, great cheese and the kind of hospitality that makes you feel home. We’ll definitely be back!

27/07/2025: A unique restaurant with a true Italian atmosphere, most tables are set in the garden, sheltered by rhizomes. A rich, typically regional menu, a wide selection of meat, vegetarian, and seafood dishes, delicious wines and desserts, and very efficient and attentive service ensured that everything we ate was delicious. It's definitely worth a visit when visiting Lake Garda!

18/07/2025: A very nice restaurant, somewhat off the beaten track. The pizzas and pasta were simply fantastic! The terrace, completely covered in wisteria, is truly beautiful. The only downsides are the mosquitoes and the €10 cover for two adults and two children. Hence, not 5 stars.
