19/06/2025: Co sono stata col mio compagno. Io sono celiaca. Arrivano al tavolo il pizzaiolo e la proprietaria: si scusano: non hanno più pasta gluteen free fresca però se voglio mi scongeleranno una confezione di pasta scongelata che mi mostrano. Rispondo "va bene ma toglietemi il pomodoro perché contiene nickel e io sono sono allergica". La pizza del mio compagno (non celiaco) a suo dire era eccellente, la mia (scongelata) mangiabile. Chiediamo il conto e si ripresenta la proprietaria: "La pizza congelata la offriamo noi per scusarci per il disagio!". Grandissimi! Molto attenti, accoglienti ed accudenti.

07/06/2025: Excellent pizza, fast service, friendly and welcoming. You can eat outside, in fact I recommend it better by booking in advance. Huge selection of pizzas and various fried foods. Excellent value for money. Congratulations!

29/07/2025: Today I had the fortune of meeting two exceptional people, Maurizio and Roberto. Owners and creators of the Mauri's hamburger joint. Although I was fortunate enough to meet them only today, I know they're well-known in the Brescia area and beyond for their professionalism, which they've applied to creating fast food restaurants worthy of the name. An excellent concept, extraordinary and friendly staff, but what makes them special and unique are their burgers, a delicacy made with raw ingredients that make your palate celebrate like New Year's Eve. Meat, cheese, vegetables, and spices, carefully selected using what the local area has to offer. All this comes together in an explosion of flavors that will leave everyone speechless. I tried the creation of the month, "Calabrese Burger," and I can sum it up in two words: extraordinarily good. What more can I say? Well done guys, this will definitely go a long way.

28/05/2025: Lunch for €21, two good hamburgers, one with a drink and chips menu, the other single. Good meat and potatoes very different from the classic ones at MC. Pleasant service with the black and white lady very kind and polite.

06/08/2025: The place is spacious, with tables where you can take a break and enjoy their truly delicious gelato. I tried the cremino with salted pistachio, on the recommendation of the girl at the counter. It was an excellent choice, it was really good! Thanks for the recommendation, and the prices are also fair, not expensive at all! I'll be happy to return.

25/06/2025: Excellent ice cream, I also took a tub of tiramisu because I saw it was made with ladyfingers: exceptional! Highly recommended

06/08/2025: We were passing through and were looking for Neapolitan pizza... a simple, family-friendly atmosphere, attentive and friendly service, and fabulous pizza... crispy whole-wheat dough, perfectly cooked, not thin, and nice and large, with excellent ingredients and very easy to digest. We'll definitely return, even though we live an hour from Brescia.

01/08/2025: Really great pizzas. Lots to chose from - classics and specials. Great service. Menu is exclusively in italian and a bit complicated but the staff were so helpful and friendly.

11/05/2025: La Ganea nel Bosco Incantato C’era una volta, nel cuore di un grande bosco tranquillo chiamato Parco dell’Oglio, un palazzo antico che tutti chiamavano il Castello Martinengo. Dentro quel castello viveva una fata gentile di nome Ganea, che amava cucinare piatti magici con gli ingredienti più freschi del regno. Ogni giorno, la fata Ganea raccoglieva erbe profumate e chicchi dorati di riso dal suo giardino incantato. Con un tocco di bacchetta e tanto amore, preparava risotti cremosi al taleggio, ravioli danzanti chiamati "casoncelli", e un piatto speciale con carne di manzo parlante e burrata che rideva quando la si tagliava! Insieme a lei lavoravano gli elfi del pane e della pasta, che impastavano e cuocevano con allegria, e un folletto sommelier che conosceva ogni segreto dell’uva. Il castello aveva stanze luminose con pareti che raccontavano storie, e un giardino dove farfalle e uccellini accompagnavano i pasti con dolci canzoni. I viaggiatori che arrivavano da villaggi vicini restavano incantati da tanta bellezza e bontà, e dicevano: “Questo è un posto davvero speciale!” La fata Ganea apriva le porte della sua cucina magica solo dal mercoledì alla domenica, perché il lunedì e il martedì riposava e sognava nuove ricette. E così, tra profumi deliziosi e sorrisi sinceri, il Bistrot della Ganea divenne il luogo più amato di tutto il regno. E vissero tutti felici… e ben sazi!

05/07/2025: TLDR: One of the best, healthy, vegan meals you'll have in all of Italy from owners who care in the cleanest and cutest restaurant. We have eaten across most of Italy and this is better than the €250+ meals we have had. Atmosphere: Finally a restaurant that is loved and well-kept. It is super clean, there is a "vibe" as the kids say these days, and love is poured into every detail. Even some of the expensive, Michelin restaurants in Roma and Torino let their bathrooms go or some small detail like they did not care anymore. Not at Shakti though. Perfect. Service: they likely do not get many non-Italian tourists, but the server was super nice and used Google translate to talk with us in English. Service speed was perfect, five courses in 2.5 hours. Some other restaurants take FOREVER to bring out courses. NOTE: CASH ONLY! Food: This is where Shakti shines. Every dish was plated like Michelin quality art and also tasted amazing. Each dish was completely different with flavors and textures while not being too fussy. One of the problems we have with a lot of Michelin fine dining is they turn everything into a mousse, foam, or creme and you never have to chew anything. Shakti does it right by giving you the creme with the crunch and all super healthy without all the oil. We left feeling light and refreshed. The set menu changes often so you'll likely get something different our courses were: 1. Falafel bite, homemade "cheese", and a small salad. 2. The world's best millet gnocchi bolognese. 3. Crepe with pesto green beans. 4. White bean and zucchini cake. 5. Mille-feuille All of this for under €40 / person! If you like great food you MUST go. Over two weeks of different restaurants in Italy and this has been the best so far. Do not let the hidden menu, calling for reservations, or cash only deter you. This is magic in your belly.

02/06/2025: It was a real culinary experience, you can choose between 3 or 5 course tastings... I don't know if there is a menu (we relied on the 3-port deg) too bad I didn't take a photo of the first one which was semolina gnocchi with a really good room... concluded with a super good dessert... Possibility of an external part, you pay only in cash.. Good experience 😋

We enjoyed a first course with vegetable lasagne and crepes with fontina cheese and ham, then chicken spinach and sliced ​​meat with rosemary as second courses and mashed potatoes as a side dish. To finish on a sweet note, tiramisu and cheesecake. Everything is strictly homemade and you can feel it: genuine flavours, the right portions and great attention to detail. More than honest bill, perhaps even too low for the quality offered: Excellent surprise, we will definitely be back!

The menu is what you'd expect—burgers, fries, and milkshakes—but executed well. The portions are generous, the burger arrives hot and flavorful, and the milkshake is a hit. Fast service, friendly staff without being overbearing. It's not a fine dining establishment, but if you're craving something hearty, timeless, and unpretentious, it's a good choice.

07/05/2025: We went there for lunch. Had a very nice meal and drank some nice wines. The owner is super friendly, hospitable and explains all his products in detail. We went back there for the aperitif the same day. Delicious snacks with our spritz! Simply great!!!
