07/06/2025: A cozy local restaurant where you have to make some effort to get there. With a powerful (not too big) car the path is just doable, although it is recommended to leave this to the locals only. On foot it is a steep climb but you get a beautiful panorama over the lake in return. Once you arrive at the Osteria you are showered with hospitality. This place is well known among mountain hikers and the locals. The chef's suggestions are fresh and super tasty. In addition, you will find various classics on the menu that are undoubtedly just as tasty and the price is certainly very economical. The charming friendly service is completely free. An absolute must.

08/06/2025: Champions League final, full place. We had dinner with excellent pinsa and drank two London Pride. The staff were good, the service was kind and quite fast. The flaw is the paper plates.

01/05/2025: This evening we ate in this beautiful tavern to say the least! We had the polenta with mushrooms as an appetizer; ribs and polenta (baked potato side dish) and pasta with pistachio pesto. All very good to say the least. Fast service and super attentive and kind waiters. Excellent price quality!!

21/06/2025: A quiet place for a relaxing evening... Attentive but light service... they really make you feel good! The food is wonderful... always a surprise, both in presentation and flavor. Not too sophisticated in appearance. The raw material is respected and exalted.

Happy to return to this excellent restaurant, which we also consider a bit as our family ❤️💯 Review June 2024: Anfo is one of those villages most people drive through. And maybe when you do, you will spot “Al Carel”. Make sure you stop and go visit this exquisite little restaurant. Here’s why… You will be welcomed like a lost relative coming home. You will sit with local Italians, which should already tell you this is a good place to be. Our waitress, who speaks English very well, started to explain about the menu. The way she did that, it became poetry. If Italy would ever need to put one person on stage as a spokes person, she would need to be the first choice. Now I can tell you all about the excellent food, the divine lasagne bolognese I ate, but you will have to experience what it truly means if Italians cook up a dish. Coming from The Netherlands, our kitchen is not well known internationally. We cook to eat mostly, you will survive the Dutch kitchen and not go hungry. But Italians can cook. And when they put their heart in it, like they do at “Al Carel”, you will be a changed person for the better. Al Carel, their kitchen staff and people working there, serving you, will make you feel at home in Italy, like a long lost family member returning. ❤️🇮🇹💯

09/06/2025: Ho scelto quest’osteria spulciando la guida delle osterie d’Italia ed è stata una scelta super azzeccata. Nel menù compaiono numerosi presidi Slow Food, interessantissimi gli antipasti di salumi, alcuni particolari della zona. Ottimi i malfatti al burro fuso, senza infamia e senza lode il manzo all’olio. Buon vino rosso della casa. Il personale è gentile e disponibile e la veranda esterna è fresca e rilassante. Se capitate in zona la consiglio vivamente!

06/06/2025: We had lunch in the outdoor room, attentive and courteous staff, excellent food with attention to detail starting from the appetizers to the casoncelli alla bresciana, summer cod and rabbit with polenta, all accompanied by a very good Piedmontese white wine "Darthona". 04/06/2025: The hotel looks really good, great location, parking behind the hotel in a safe area closed to the public. Internally it is very good as a hotel, very good breakfast, abundant and varied. Special mention for the staff, all very courteous and polite.

10/05/2025: We had lunch here via Smart box which included: starter, first course, second course and a bottle of wine for two people. Plus they offered us a delicious entree. It was a wonderful discovery... every single dish was prepared and tasty. Very kind, clean place, in the greenery with convenient parking. We will definitely be back!

Simple and comfortable environment, owners and staff available and exceptionally kind, but above all excellent quality products: from cured meats to cheeses, sliced ​​on the spot, to focaccia (wow), everything really delicious! Five well-deserved stars.

26/05/2025: We identified this place from online reviews, and were particularly impressed by the culinary offerings. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with courtesy by the maitre de salle. The place is elegant, featuring a large presence of fine wood. As an appetizer, we opted for the risotto with fresh asparagus, stracciatella and perch tartare, while for the second course we chose the braised beef cheek with carrot puree and baby spinach. Both dishes turned out to be of excellent quality, truly exquisite. To conclude the meal, we shared a rose cake and a burnt yogurt cream, both exquisite. The price, in line with the general average, is slightly high, but the quality of the food made it fully justified.

20/05/2025: Incredibly delicious, even on a quiet day (Tuesdays in the off-season), only the best is served, and the cuisine is incredibly delicious and creative! A great random hit when looking for a restaurant 😍

09/06/2025: Ideal place for events and ceremonies, outside the town center and with a large garden where you can set up outdoor banquets and which culminates with the iconic fountain. Large, air-conditioned and well-organized internal rooms. More than good menu for quality and preparation of dishes, some carelessness in the service due to an undersized number of waiting staff

22/06/2025: I have to say I was completely surprised by the quality of the pastries in this pasticceria in a small town in Val Camonica. What a gem and very reasonable prices. I had a Danese for €2.5 and it was massive AND delicious. Good cappuccino as well.
