18/08/2024: Among our favorite places. Excellent food and service. Pizzoccheri and polenta with mushrooms Top. Pleasant garden in summer. Not very cheap but on average for Milan for the quality offered.

05/08/2024: A very rustic little place. We had dinner and it was all delicious, the cheeses are crazy, the polenta is absolutely worth trying, everything was delicious, if I really want to find a flaw, I can say that I would have preferred the starter to be a little richer, but maybe we're just not used to it 😉. Near the restaurant there is a small point of sale of the products they produce, butter, cheese and cured meats, all delicious, if you are in the area go and visit it you won't regret it 👍

20/08/2024: My experience as a reviewer as a frequenter of restaurants and hotels (I travel a lot for work reasons) leads me to express my positive opinion regarding the San Gallo restaurant. The welcome is courteous, the table service polite, the cuisine of a good standard with interesting dishes. Compliments !

16/08/2024: Mid-August lunch. Fixed menu 50 euros. Without drinks. Above average, but refined and particular foods. Nice, quiet place. Beautiful day.

11/08/2024: Good wine advice, delicious food - especially fish in all variations. There is no pizza, but there was something for the children too. We were there on a Saturday evening without a reservation, but only managed to get a table because we were quite early. A reservation is therefore recommended.

28/06/2024: You have to be careful with the pictures here, because apparently this restaurant was relocated at some point. The menu is not up to date and there is very little pasta left on the menu. But a lot of seafood. We only had fish, but it was very good. Best tiramisu I've had so far.

03/09/2024: The courtesy is unmatched.... I have never found such kindness. The owner of this ice cream shop is as top-notch as the ice cream served. I will definitely return for a good ice cream and a chat with the ice cream maker with a heart of gold. Top!!!!

08/08/2024: Every time I go to Materia I'm happy. Well yes: I love eating and having a restaurant so close to home fills me with joy, especially for business lunches, which are not very "demanding" where with an absolutely reasonable amount you can afford to have lunch in a starred restaurant. The new location is particularly intriguing and inviting and today, for the first time thanks to the school holidays, I brought my little girl who I am trying to accustom more and more to the journeys of taste. Today the menu offered risotto with green bean and tarragon cream, pasta ditalini with venison ragout, chicken leg on a bed of polenta and mussel and cherry tomato stew. The marrow and saffron are inevitable. My daughter was also very satisfied with the menu where, however, the flavors offered can be difficult for the little ones. 16/07/2024: It was an excellent value for the experience. Service was excellent. We went with the chef choice 5 course. Myself I had the full course. Not every dish was to my flavor palette but they were all creative and delicious. I did the saffron risotto and the bite sized introductory course because they were designed to be consumed linearly.

03/08/2024: Nice bar and friendly gentleman. The dog was also welcome and given water. Delicious fresh gravy and focaccia!!

11/07/2024: Delicious sandwiches made to order choosing your own ingredients, coffee and drinks were great also. There is nice background music and the owner is lovely. Freshly squeezed orange juice is just what we needed on a hot day! Great place to stop at if you are visiting Villa Carlotta or staying in the area.

16/06/2024: Percorso degustativo sorprendente, in cui anche i piatti più vicini alla tradizione sono rivisitati in modo interessante. Ottima anche la cantina. Personale gentile, ambiente storico ristrutturato con stile moderno senza perdere calore ed accoglienza. Da ripetere!

09/06/2024: Location molto carina, soprattutto il dehors… ottimo cibo ben cucinato, camerieri gentilissimi. Essendo in zona pedonale richiede qualche minuto a piedi. Avendo già cenato qui altre volte confermo qualità sia del cibo che del personale.
