31/05/2025: It is an original and spartan place where you can manage to order and clean up after you have finished dinner or lunch. The tables are minimal but very very particular. I really like this place, it is like being with family. The pizza is very good with fresh ingredients. The staff is super nice. Very good quality/price. It is located in the middle of the greenery. Parking on the street.

17/06/2025: Unique, friendly and sparkling welcome, smart and very prepared guys, able to fully understand your needs and satisfy them with the right suggestions. The place is also too cool. I am truly enthusiastic about everything!!!
Last but not least, I must praise the food....... VERY GOOD!!!! truly cooked with wisdom!

07/06/2025: This was a top class experience. Enjoy the lake shore for your aperitif perhaps but when you want proper high quality food, excellently presented, head here. The narrow street setting means it’s tucked away from the crowds but well worth finding. I had a beautifully prepared piece of salmon, my wife had the ravioli. Quality over quantity but exquisite taste. I had the chefs own take on tiramisu for dessert and it was a great choice. A couple of glasses of wine during the meal and an espresso to finish. Delightful.

05/07/2025: Like others, I also looked for a place with typical cuisine. In fact, here they serve fried frogs and snails that I have not found elsewhere and that are perhaps the strong dishes because the ones I tried were not so good (rice, stew, pike). I must say that expectations were high and I did not leave satisfied, indeed I would say a little bitter about the final quality/price ratio.
30/06/2025: I followed the advice of many people who had already visited this tavern! I can only confirm how good the dishes are!
The tavern is very close to the center, better to book in advance because it is always full and there is a good reason!
Typical Mantua dishes and appetizers not only Mantua but also from other nearby cities with quality cheeses and cured meats! Very kind and above all fast staff :)
Prices are normal. Super, super recommended!

22/06/2025: Marte (the owner) is a historic restaurateur from the lower Mantua area.
Together with his sister Emilia, they create truly delicious first courses and fantastic desserts.
22/06/2025: Our lunch visit today was very good. Although we unfortunately didn't speak Italian, the service was always patient and smiled. The recommendation from our RV neighbor in Pieve di Coriano was excellent. We ate the delicious pumpkin tortellini with ragu and with butter and sage. The "dolce" didn't disappoint either.
The Mantua Lambrusco brightened up the 15 km bike ride home.
We'll be back.

15/06/2025: Cozy and home-style restaurant. The absolute protagonist is the food, which is very tasty, with the right balance between side dishes, meat or vegetables (depending on the veg option or not) and sauce. What makes it all special is that YOU EAT WITH YOUR HANDS!
Another positive note: the owner and the staff serve everyone with a smile, which made it a pleasant experience.
I will definitely return several times😄
Value for money: excellent!

02/07/2025: This restaurant is absolutely awesome. Menu is diverse and taste is excellent. Best tiramisu I’ve ever had. Try to he “wrong” tiramisu. It’s even better.

I am not satisfied with having been placed with my wife at a shared table (separated only by plexiglass) with a group of 4 noisy people who laughed throughout the lunch.. More attention should be paid to these things especially for those who booked in advance.

Right on the main road towards Lake Como. A bit unassuming from the outside.
