12/06/2025: Wide selection of risottos, I have tried various types and found them all good, just a little too cooked for my taste. There is also a smaller selection compared to risottos, also of good quality. Extremely kind and friendly from the lady who runs the service. Simple but clean and welcoming environment. Fair prices.

10/07/2025: My visit to Dispensa Franciacorta last week was marked by an incident so serious that it irreparably compromised my regard for this restaurant.
My mother made an off-menu request—two simple eggs—expressed with the utmost politeness. The waiter, correctly, simply forwarded the request to the kitchen. But that's when a scene unfolded that could only be described as surreal: **one of the chefs reacted with violent, vulgar, and disconcerting verbal aggression**, hurling gratuitous insults at my mother, using contemptuous tones, and displaying a total lack of human and professional respect.
This wasn't just a kitchen tantrum. It was **an episode of full-blown verbal aggression**, completely inappropriate, out of proportion, and above all **out of place** for an environment that presents itself as a high-end restaurant.
The worst, however, came later: no accountability and no real apology from the kitchen for what had happened.
**And this shouldn't be the norm.** Culinary art does not justify arrogance. Tension does not justify violence. The kitchen is not a stage on which to vent one's frustrations on customers.
A restaurant that allows a chef to treat a customer like this—whoever they may be—**forfeits any right to call itself a welcoming place**.
With deep regret, but equally with conviction, I say: **I will never set foot in this place again, and I hope others will think carefully before doing so.**
29/06/2025: Incredible experience. My girlfriend and I took the tasting menu, accompanied by a bottle of Franciacorta promptly recommended by the staff. The courses were extremely innovative and incredibly tasty and enjoyable. There wasn't a course that didn't surprise us. The staff was very kind, and the location was truly refined. 10/10 - nothing to complain about.

12/07/2025: What a frustrating experience! It's incredibly disappointing when a restaurant provides inaccurate information, especially after you've gone out of your way to make a reservation. You called ahead, were told the restaurant was fully booked, only to arrive and find plenty of empty tables and people leaving. This is certainly a head-scratcher and it's understandable why you'd be upset by what appears to be a deliberate misrepresentation. The idea that staff might turn away customers just to be "less busy" is a concerning thought, and it definitely doesn't foster a good customer experience.
Given that my hotel host recommended this place, I am even more disappointed. I am going to have to let them know not do that in the future so any visitors won’t have their time wasted.
12/07/2025: We went for lunch, they were quick and kind, we called at the last minute, and I must say that we were very satisfied, it was a good lunch ☺️☺️

The atmosphere is an excellent balance between elegance and casual. The dishes are really good, you can feel the care, not to mention that it is a paradise for celiacs. All dishes are offered in both gluten-free and normal versions. Homemade focaccia (gluten-free), homemade desserts and every dish taken care of in the smallest details. The right portions, neither minimal nor too abundant. The attentive, competent and friendly restaurant manager is available for every need. The price is right for what you eat. Also, if you book with thefork you have the possibility of a discount. Definitely an excellent discovery in the area.

I had read an article about this restaurant and, intrigued, I decided to book for my birthday dinner.
I call it an experience because the food was truly unique and refined.
A great combination of flavors and quality.
An explosion of joy for my taste buds.

22/06/2025: Olio. Elegance and promises, but the journey to the Star is still long
Olio, located in Origgio and mentioned in the prestigious Michelin guide, offers a gastronomic experience that initially conquers for its aesthetic and sensorial impact, but is not free from some flaws that still limit its leap towards the deserved Star.
The location is undoubtedly a strong point: elegant, well-kept, large and refined in the details, with a wise choice of high-quality materials. The table linen, extremely soft and pleasant to the touch, and the seats, comfortable and well-chosen, further enrich the general comfort. The environment amazes with suggestive scenography, illuminated by sophisticated light effects and embellished with authentic vintage cars that give the place a unique charm. The only shame is the slightly insufficient lighting in the area adjacent to the terrace, a detail that needs to be improved to fully enhance the atmosphere.
The chef's culinary proposal certainly reveals talent and balance, wisely blending simple and quality ingredients. The smoked scallop appetizer is remarkable and memorable, masterfully accompanied by agretti and a light blown hollandaise sauce. The spring acqua cotta is also surprising for its freshness and brilliance, although the egg protagonist deserved a touch more attention in cooking.
Among the first courses, the rabbit-filled buttons paired with lobster stand out: an intriguing combination, successful in flavor, even if the lobster would have benefited from a slightly shorter cooking time. The mezzeri rigatoni with sea urchin and scampi carbonara are decidedly disappointing: served lukewarm and with the flavor overwhelmingly dominated by the egg, the dish leaves the seafood ingredients totally unexpressed.
Among the second courses, the fritto misto stands out positively, cooked to perfection and without any trace of grease, enhanced by the excellent freshness of the fish and the red mullet, the absolute protagonist. The remoulade sauce proposed as an accompaniment, however, leaves one speechless: yogurt and cucumber fail to harmonize with the dish. The lamb is instead a true triumph of intensity, splendidly accompanied by a ristretto intenso and morels, an impeccable pairing.
A note of merit for the waiting staff, attentive and kind, in particular for the young maître, competent and attentive. However, a flaw emerges: an excess of apprenticeship staff, who despite showing education and brilliance, inevitably appear inexperienced and hesitant. A more balanced choice in the staff mix would certainly be preferable.
Another sore point is the absence of a dedicated sommelier, essential in an ambitious restaurant. A good sommelier guides you in choosing the wine and can expertly describe the wine chosen by the customer. Here that figure is missing. Furthermore, returning to the generic staff, too often the glass remains empty, leaving one to perceive a lack of sufficient waiters to best manage the large number of tables.
Ultimately, Olio a Origgio is a restaurant that certainly deserves a Michelin star, but it still lacks that pinch of audacity, originality and attention to detail that could allow it to take the decisive step towards winning the much-coveted star.

07/06/2025: Homey atmosphere and few tables make it less noisy and more peaceful. The food is spectacular, especially the fish lasagna.
Very good wine recommendations (although a few glasses are a bit pricey, at €7). The prices are very good, except for the drinks.

26/06/2025: Place recommended by friends, to tell the truth it is an excellent location with helpful staff, let's say that the quality/price ratio is quite good, a price higher than the average of Brianza, the sandwiches and craft beer excellent.
The only criticism is excessive waiting time!

07/06/2025: It is an excellent tavern, specialized in risottos, which are prepared in an excellent way; the cooking is perfect, not al dente. The types vary during the year and are created with imagination. You can ask for a second or third risotto, but since these are prepared at the moment, which is excellent, and a minimum quantity is needed, two people must choose the same courses; at the moment, they are already divided between the plates. It is possible to have the appetizer buffet, which includes cooked and raw vegetables and cheeses. The owner is very friendly. The prices are adequate.
05/06/2025: Rustic atmosphere that gives a feeling of warmth with spaced tables that allow you to enjoy the evening.
A very healthy buffet is available (highly appreciated!) for appetizers with vegetables of all sorts. Risottos are certainly good but I personally did not find them excellent.
The possibility of ordering a trio is much appreciated.
Really good desserts of their own production.
Cost for buffet appetizer, water, trio of risottos and dessert 26 euros. Very honest price.

Both the food and the service at Baretto are truly exceptional. I believe this restaurant could easily be Michelin-starred, yet it offers an à la carte menu that makes the experience even more special. Before the main course, you are delighted with several complimentary appetizers — for example, a refreshing kombucha juice, toasted bread with buffalo cream, and a delicate tomato carpaccio paired with a house-made butter foam.
The view is absolutely spectacular, overlooking the beautiful city of Bergamo. Nearby, there is also a charming castle that you can visit, adding to the magic of the location.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a refined and memorable meal!
