20/08/2025: A great meal with a good atmosphere and quality servers

18/08/2025: We had three pizzas that day. All three were terrible. The dough was soggy, and the toppings slid off, whether it was while cutting or trying to eat them. We somehow made a calzone out of it. But there was so much cheese and the dough was so soggy that I was fed up after a few bites.

10/08/2025: It was a wonderful experience to eat authentic Italian pizza, with its thin and delicious crust, on one of the charming streets of S. Margherita Ligure. The pizzas are very large, but you can choose a smaller one if you prefer. We chose the large pizza for two people. There is a €2 per person table fee (August 2025). Service was prompt.

12/08/2025: The food and atmosphere were very good and familiar. I barely had the chance to find the cashier, because every day he was very confusing and had difficulty completing the bill quickly. Every day, a delay in paying the bill. He was very taken aback! It's not the first time, nor the second. We wanted to give it a chance to see if there had been an improvement in the service, but unfortunately, things hadn't. Fifteen minutes of waiting at the table to order the dish and almost forty-five minutes to have it served. In a restaurant where customers only have an hour for lunch during the week, the management's lack of preparation in managing the business is evident.

02/08/2025: The pizzas were so good I forgot to take pictures, but the man who served us was friendly and funny. The pizzas were delicious, and the price was 10/10, especially for the area. Thankful (we ordered to go).

17/08/2025: We went there twice this week and had pizza to go. Very good service, and the short wait was easily passed with a beer. The pizza has a nice, thin crust and a fruity sauce – compliments!

04/08/2025: Uns wurde das Restaurant von unserem Host empfohlen, wir waren nur 2 Nächte in Leivi und beide davon in diesem Lokal essen, der Kellner war sehr nett und konnte toll englisch. Die Pizza war die beste, die wir jemals gegessen haben, aus diesem Grund sind wir auch beide Tage hingegangen und haben auch leider kein anderes Gericht außer Dessert probiert.

01/08/2025: I ended up there by chance, I had a visit to the Grassi I got hungry and I stopped, entering I saw a nice bar but being hungry I only saw pastry shop so I asked if they had anything else and I swear I was amazed when her husband called and made us two sandwiches on the spot... What can I say, excellent, fresh but above all delicious, sandwich with chicken in their way and very sweet peppers. I highly recommend it

12/06/2025: I went for the first time today to have an excellent coffee standing at the counter in this small and welcoming café located inside the Genova Principe train station with tables inside and also outside with a view of the station. I have been frequenting several other places in Mentelocale for years every day such as in Via Garibaldi and in Via Balbi and I have always had a great time. In this café you can have breakfast and also lunch with a wide selection of sweet and savory dishes. The staff as always in all the other places in Mentelocale are welcoming, smiling, competent, friendly and helpful and they only serve you at the table at lunch while for coffee, toasts and other drinks you order, pay and then collect your order and good prices!! 14/08/2025: This restaurant has been our go-to stop for many years now, the start of our long-awaited holidays! Comfortable atmosphere, friendly staff, and a friendly owner. Both regulars and new guests mingle, and the friendly atmosphere makes you feel part of a community. Good food, a real place. You might even encounter baptisms, birthdays of centenarian grandmothers, or Sunday family reunions, but always without excessive noise and stressed waiters! You will always be welcome!
