Trattoria Ugo In Genova

Last night, we visited this stunning corner of Genoa for the third time. Everything was perfect. The place. The food was superb. The staff and service were truly wonderful. To those who criticized the tartare... well... this is the third time I've had it, and it's the best I've ever had in my life... I won't even mention the pesto because it's simply divine. I truly recommend it to everyone.

I ate at Ugo's and had a great time. The atmosphere was simple but welcoming, the service was friendly and fairly quick. The dishes were well-prepared and the portions were adequate. The ingredients were good quality, and the prices were reasonable. Overall, a pleasant experience, ideal for a quiet dinner with friends.

Trattoria Ugo has been my absolute favorite place in Genoa for years. It's exactly what you imagine a true Ligurian osteria to be: authentic, welcoming, and full of character. I keep coming back and have now tried almost everything on the menu – it's all simply amazing. Traditional Ligurian cuisine, truly regional and bursting with flavor. The family atmosphere is especially lovely. You don't feel like you're in a typical restaurant, but rather like you're visiting friends. The ambiance is also completely authentic and charming, with that genuine Genoese flair that's so rare these days. For me, it's an absolute must in Genoa – a highlight every time! Be sure to pick up some pesto genovese (there's a small Ugo shop right across the street ;)

Trattoria Ugo was a very positive experience. We didn't have a reservation, so we had to wait 45 minutes, but the wait was worth it with the high-quality food and very friendly staff.

The pesto is delicious, in my opinion, just right.

You can't give less than 5 stars for the atmosphere, portions and top service...with a full house for the Alpine gathering I will definitely go back
