16/11/2024: A special Sunday, visiting the dying city, but we arrive late and the pangs of hunger are felt Quick look on social media, mmmmh, “Il Bocconcino”, in the name of omen? a quick phone call and we manage to book, we will arrive at 2.00 pm, no problem, we are waiting for you having arrived in Bagnoregio, after a quick reconnaissance tour I find a corner and park the place is very nice, sober in its furnishings with tavern tables and chairs, the white tablecloths set crookedly, small but captivating the menu is not the usual 10 pages, which means that attention is paid to seasonality, 4 first and 4 second courses, 2 vegetarian options, as well as 3 side vegetables, 4 also the choices of desserts it's already late, so we speed up the order and taste the Cappuccino with truffle, egg, potatoes and crumbs together, in the meantime two croutons arrive as the house entrée, with sausage and livers, very nice and tasty Then comes the cappuccino, beautifully presented, it looks like a real cappuccino, served in a large cup, very good with the egg that binds and amalgamates the flavors of the potatoes, the truffle and the crumbs give it that crunch that doesn't hurt We also chose the first courses, I will take an off-menu first course which is intriguingly proposed to me by the waiter, fettuccine with ancient chicken giblets sauce and my wife ricotta and spinach gnocchi with roasted datterini tomatoes and crunchy chopped bacon The pasta is strictly handmade and I discover with pleasure, finding the colurgionis and seadas on the menu that the eclectic Chef is Sardinian The first courses are excellent, the fettuccine rich in grandmother's ancient flavours, full of rich meat sauce, fragrant and tasty with fifth quarter, my favorite The soft and tasty gnocchi embellished with roasted datterini tomatoes and made precious in taste by the crunchy bacon made into grains Even for the wine we refer to the flavors of Sardinia for which a pure white Vermentino Terre Fenicie, served cold in its glassette The second courses arrive: a beautiful Angus enrecote with caramelized red Tropea onion, naturally rare, cooked to perfection, very tender and flattering with its caramelized onions and aubergine meatballs with roasted cherry tomato sauce and flavored with aromatic herbs, soft and tasty Finally, how can you miss the Seadas in a Sardinian restaurant; mine with strawberry tree honey and my wife's with wildflower, both delicious, but the strawberry tree that I love gives it that extra boost Big compliments to the Chef with whom we spoke at the time of the bill, very kind and nice See you next time to try the culurgionis!

01/04/2024: Abbiamo festeggiato la Pasquetta in questo ristorante, che offriva un eccellente menù fisso per 40 € a persona a base di pesce. Ogni piatto è stato perfetto, per nulla pesante nè eccessivamente condito. Unica pecca è stata la musica…. abbiamo pranzato tutto il tempo con musica techno in sottofondo, che è piacevole sicuramente, ma non in un ristorante comunque elegante!

24/11/2024: Abbiamo pranzato in questo ristorante durante una gita a Caprarola. Il locale è carino e arredato con gusto. Tuttavia i numerosi tavoli vuoti durante il pranzo domenicale mi avevano un po’ insospettito. E questa sensazione è stata confermata dal pasto che abbiamo consumato. Le pappardelle al sugo di persico, erano sostanzialmente prive di sapore. Buona la zuppa di funghi. La bistecca era piuttosto dura e lo stinco di maiale non aveva nessun tipo di sapore, cosa assai difficile per questa tipologia di carne, oltre ad essere stoppacioso. Vino della casa non classificabile. una nota positiva, la gentilezza del personale.

11/09/2024: Non ho mangiato nulla e non ho preso il caffè quindi non posso esprimere giudizi su questo. Ma l'organizzazione è da rivedere.... . Non è corretto far perdere tempo a nessuno tanto meno a chi lavora ....

12/05/2024: Still closed at 5.20pm. A mostly tourist location that doesn't respect timetables doesn't deserve to eat. In general the whole country is really pathetic. One wonders what curse has befallen this infamous location.

02/09/2024: It's a shame, otherwise I would have given it a 5 but the last time we were there exactly a few evenings ago, something hurt us and we were sick for a whole day, even two, definitely the kataifi prawns off the menu. Beautiful, romantic and relaxing place. Friendly staff. Average price.

17/08/2024: Excellent food but the service is somewhat too rough around the edges. If you want to eat really well and you don't mind the somewhat gruff (but not unfriendly) service, and want it on a budget, this is the place for you. There is an option (I will leave that for you to find which) nearby with much better service, bigger portions, nicer ambience and almost equally excellent food (I preferred the food here slightly because it is less oily), but you have to pay at least an extra 50% of the asking price here (which sums up to the same value if you take the larger size of the portions in consideration at the other place). All in all I would come back here because I am not finicky on service or if I want a smaller meal, but if you want to impress a lady you should go to the other place.

16/08/2024: Frequento lo stabilimento dal 2006 ma con questa nuova gestione del ristorante penso di aver visto di tutto. Oltre un ora di attesa x 4 hamburger mai arrivati perché abbiamo deciso di alzarci. Il personale di sala scortese e maleducato ha fatto intervenire il cuoco perché non ci ha saputo dire che problema ci fosse stato in cucina... Tarquinia è anche altro.... Ascoltate un consiglio ... Andate a cena altrove 😉
