12/06/2025: Not sure how this place has amazing reviews. Pasta is not made fresh. They had a delivery order and I saw many big bags of Barilla rigatoni. I ordered carbonara and the pasta was very undercooked. I love pasta al dente but this was too undercooked. The dish was still okay from the sauce. Also, pasta was made in bulk. My order was made in the same pan as other patrons ordering carbonara. I think there are better places to spend your money at. NO PIZZA AT LUNCH

15/08/2025: We made a reservation for 1:00 PM for four people, and we arrived promptly. The place was half empty (given the time). After ordering raw ham for two, and fried baby octopus for two to share, we ordered four paccheri all'amatriciana with octopus for the first course to simplify the order. After almost an hour, the two appetizers arrived. And after almost an hour, we asked what happened to the first courses. They finally arrived after an hour. As we cleared away the first courses, we asked the waitress to order the second courses. After 20 minutes, she came to take the order, very annoyed and pointing out that it would be late (as if everything had arrived on time up until that point). At that point, we asked for the bill, but she started arguing with my sister, who rightfully put her in her place and role. I don't recommend this place because, in addition to the poor service, they don't know the ingredients. The raw fish was good, but they gave me fried puntillas, commonly called canna eyes, instead of baby octopus. And the octopus amatriciana was made with gigas (a lesser quality) that doesn't have the same flavor or meat. You never know who you're going to have as customers...we work with that stuff all day. I don't recommend this restaurant because it preys on the customer's ignorance and gives them (as they say in Rome) the ONLY thing.

15/08/2025: Lunch on August 15, 2025. Reservations were confirmed 3 or 4 times at their request. However, when we promptly arrived, the waitress warned us it would be a long wait. There were 4 of us, and we all ate at different times because the dishes arrived very staggered (one even took an hour and a half). The first courses were overcooked and salty, and the portions were small. The waiters were rude. The bill was exorbitant.

06/07/2025: Locale classico e informale, con molti richiami di oggettistica antica. Cucina tradizionale. Buona la salvia fritta offerta come pre-antipasto. Ho ordinato "I fusilli al ferro con peperone secco di altino e burrata liquida", purtroppo non erano fusilli al ferro, ma pasta casareccia di pasta secca imbustata, troppo peperone fritto secco e croccante, non gustoso. Il peperone crusco va usato come una spezia ed è molto adatta come tocco finale per arricchire di sapore uno spaghetto aglio, olio e peperoncino. Ottimi e abbondanti i cardoncelli alla piastra. Buone le quaglie con le ovine e agnello alla scottadito. Ottimo il vino della casa.

30/06/2025: I confirm the unreasonable waiting times Saturday evening 2 tables of 2 people each we entered first, We order 1 appetizer mortadella IGP and special cheeses and a plate of pasta Dry pasta from Gragnano not homemade maybe one thinks flour eggs roll it out and pull it by hand no a simple dry pasta: waiting time 1 hour and a quarter for the second courses arrived also burnt another hour (but they had been ordered together with the first courses) they were eaten because they were hungry, pointed out the exhausting wait he answers us but we do everything express which does not hold up and just a way of doing things, if you are in a hurry there is Mc Donald's, no there is also a middle way, and if on a Saturday evening there are 4 people there will be a reason, but you are happy ... Welcoming place background music to applaud fantastic climate with a light breeze very pleasant it should and could have been a beautiful evening unfortunately ruined In short you have to wait a long time ... too much Judge everything else for yourself

12/07/2025: Simple and informal atmosphere, good food and fresh fish....the only significant flaw is that, being a fishmonger's trattoria, we imagined the prices wouldn't be restaurant-like since they do takeout, so that's what we're talking about...we were a bit disappointed. Two appetizers (tastes), two standard fried dishes, a mussel sauté, and a plate of spaghetti with clams. €95 is definitely a bit too much for a business that from the outside seems spartan. Also, what I didn't like was the lack of a menu, so the prices are surprising. A word of advice: if you decide to go, ask for the prices of the dishes.

03/07/2025: This kiosk/café is very close to the Vatican. You can have breakfast before your visit, or grab a coffee, iced tea, or recharge your batteries with their sandwiches. Enjoy a leisurely lunch on their terrace and take a break. In our case, we made the stop after spending the whole morning exploring the Basilica and St. Peter's Square. They also have pasta dishes at good prices. 100% recommended. The waiters are quick and friendly. There are several bus stops nearby if you're tired of walking.

21/07/2025: It bothers me to write bad things, especially for a restaurant where I eat... a little restaurant called PIZZA EXPRESS in front of Rome Termini station. It looked like the Bengali guy working at the counter was the boss. I ordered a kebab sandwich, and I've never eaten anything so bad in my life. Almost everything was cold, tasteless, and lacked love, and especially considering the service... oh, right below zero. I said hello to the guy, who didn't say hello to me, but brought my food and left it on the table as if I'd asked for something free. When I paid, I said hello again twice... he didn't answer me, they were rude. I've been working as a chef in restaurants for many years and I know quite a bit about food, but at least I need some manners and respect for people... I'll never recommend them 😡

21/07/2025: We went here for drinks only. Had been walking for awhile on our first day in town and it was a clean place along the way. I can't say anything about the food but drinks are good and the staff was friendly.

12/07/2025: atmosphere is amazing, service was awesome and super helpful and kind, and the food and coffee???? amazing best I've had in the area, def check it out! would come back if we were staying here longer! paid 10.60 for 2 coffees, a donut, 2 sandwiches and some other dessert I can't remember 😂

10/07/2025: Personal amable y muy buena comida. Recomendado 100%. Comimos distintos tipos de comida, incluidas pizzas, pastas y la increíble Saltimbocca alla Romana con patatas asadas. Nuestros hijos pidieron el menú infantil y todo estaba delicioso. Hay otros buenos restaurantes en Pigneto pero este fue el mejor para nosotros.

16/08/2025: Terrible experience. The quality/price ratio was nonexistent. The seafood salad didn't even taste like seafood. Spaghetti with clams was flavorless, and the spaghetti was cooked like glue. The risotto with cream of scapes was overcooked and tasted like Philadelphia sauce. The seafood flavor was nonexistent, not even the aroma... In short, we left with full plates and empty stomachs. And empty wallets, too. P.S. The staff, in my opinion, were inappropriately dressed. But that's just my opinion. Or a suggestion. It's a shame we had to give even one star to publish.

26/08/2025: What a shame! Nice place, delicious food, but the manager was very rude and unpleasant. We traveled over 2,500 km to Rome, stopped at many places, and were always treated very well, except at this restaurant. For the first time on this long trip, we were treated xenophobically. He refused to communicate outside of Italian, prevented one of his colleagues from serving us when we could have waited or left, brought a bottle of wine to the table without bothering to bring an appropriate glass, and then immediately served a table of Italians next to us with the bottle of wine and appropriate glasses. In short... a shame!
