All my guests complimented me, and I complimented this family as well. They've been making delicious desserts for years and always provide attentive, kind, and professional service. A true guarantee. 20/02/2026: I was disappointed with my experience. The elderly lady at the register was very rude. When I went to pay by card, she seemed annoyed and made me feel uncomfortable. Customer service should be kind and respectful, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case during my visit.

02/03/2026: We celebrated my daughter's eighteenth birthday. The venue was stunning, overlooking the lake, making it all so romantic. The staff was welcoming and extremely professional, accommodating our every request. A special mention goes to Diego, the dedicated owner, full of ideas and always ready to help. His immediate empathy made everyone feel right at home. If you're looking for an elegant and welcoming venue, Chalet del Lago won't disappoint.

04/01/2026: I'm leaving a review here after visiting various ramen bars in Rome. My heart, palate, and stomach have been returning here every chance they get for at least ten years! The place is small, cozy, and quaint. They don't need to plaster themselves with manga or create a concept, because their ramen is amazing: my favorite is the Miso Tonkatsu Udon, thick and flavorful. The egg inside is cooked to perfection, the chasu is soft and flavorful, and the bamboo shoots are exceptional. The appetizers are delicious, with a special mention for the ravioli. It feels like home.

19/02/2026: Unprofessional and rude. I called to see if there was availability in five or six months, and was treated as if I had no right to ask. They essentially told me I woke up late, in an extremely rude and annoyed manner. It's fine to point it out if that was the case, but there are ways and means, since I asked very politely. Excellent strategy for losing customers.

15/02/2026: Had a great time, a few minor inconveniences that didn't end up compromising the experience. Friends of mine celebrated their wedding, but absolutely loved the desserts and especially the locally (right in front of you) handmade cannoli and mozzarella. There was a baby station in the male bathroom (yay). But the only hiccup happened with the organization of the staff, due to terrible weather we moved the cake indoors and the entrance was chosen for the pictures and all, but too overcrowded, it would have been much better to move it in the larger rooms inside where more people could have gathered more easily. Except for that? Lovely.

18/03/2026: Wonderful little place to get some pizza or panini for lunch. Great choice and great care and attention to quality. Gets busy so be prepared to wait, but worth it. Recommend the caprese if you're a veggie.

06/12/2025: Let me start by saying that the food was very good and the atmosphere was classic roadhouse-style. So far, so good. However, what happened at the end of the evening was, in my opinion, completely intolerable. We were chatting and laughing peacefully at our table—there were only two tables left, so it wasn't even that chaotic—when one of the waiters approached the cash register and started printing out the bill (which we hadn't even asked for, by the way). As he did so, I clearly heard him say, "What the f*** are you laughing about?" It wasn't a generic comment, it wasn't a misunderstanding: there was no one near him except us, and we were indeed laughing. So yes, he was addressing us, without a doubt. Now... my friend, I understand it was late, I understand you were tired and maybe even fed up with working because it was getting late. But before you started insulting the customers, you should have simply let us know you were about to close, don't you think? Especially since we'd already finished eating and would have been happy to leave the table without any problems. I realize we may have lingered a bit and not looked at the clock, but that's precisely why a "Guys, we're closing" would have solved everything. Instead, we were met with a completely gratuitous and rude outburst that ruined the entire experience. Above all, I want to point out that it was 11:05 PM... the restaurant closes at 11 PM. And the thing that bothers me most is that all the other waiters were really kind and professional. But whatever, I guess there are assholes everywhere.

30/11/2025: I gave it a second chance, but... I'll never go back!! It certainly can't be called a restaurant!! It's fast food!! Even low-quality, especially considering the unprofessional service that borders on rudeness! Poor value for money

26/12/2025: Just wonderful! Even for someone who's been coming to Italy for decades, it's easy to get overehelmed by the wealth of culinary treasures. Everything was absolutely exquisite and the waiters truly shined in helping us choose the right drinks and dishes so that everyone got exactly what they craved. Some of us just wanted a bite, others were starving, and finding a bottle that everyone truly liked is usually really difficult. We had a mix of raw appetizers, homemade pasta, and catch of the day, all of which delicious, but I have to say that the best past was the dessert. Their tiramisu, which they assembled tableside, was something truly special. I am proud of my own but it doesn't come even close. In short, we all left happy and will be returning before long!

16/03/2026: This was the BEST carbonara and amatriciana I had in Rome to this day! And I did eat these in many MANY restaurants there. Honestly the carbonara got me emotional. Such a wonderful surprise since we stumbled upon this place when walking near the hotel. It is definitely a simple place but the food is outstanding! Great bread and wine too.

04/04/2026: The service was excellent and the food was fresh and delicious. The appetizer with artichoke on toast was great. The pasta and tortelli dishes were amazing. The cheesecake with caramel and salted peanuts was the best dessert I've ever had in my life. I highly recommend making a reservation here. Even if you're not vegan/vegetarian it's worth stopping by. My husband isn't vegan and isn't really a fan of vegetables but he enjoyed everything. Definitely one of the top (perhaps even the best) vegan restaurants in Rome.
