17/05/2026: this little local restaurant served the best tiramisu in my entire rome trip. everything was fresh, delicate, and perfectly balanced. i wish i had more time to try their sandwiches 🥹 the owner is so warm and kind as well

21/05/2026: My family and I visited Marcolino Pane e Vino and enjoyed a delightful evening of authentic Roman cuisine. Excellent, flavorful dishes prepared with great care, respecting tradition, in a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere that immediately made us feel at home. Special praise goes to Giada, who was truly brilliant: she managed and served a small, fully-filled room with about 20 seats with professionalism, kindness, and great attention, all by herself, without ever losing her smile and attentiveness. A very positive experience, definitely worth repeating.

22/05/2026: geff (jeff? i couldn’t fully get his name) was really kind 🤣 and the ice cream was great so we went back for seconds (= i recommend the mango and strawberry and they gave us wafers too 🩵 super refreshing on a hot day ~ delicious ice cream, generous portions & free whipped cream for 4 euros what a steal !

21/05/2026: One of the best (if no THE best ice cream) I have ever had in Rome. So good we had to get another one. I recomend the stracciatellaa and cheesecake flavour.

The Public House is a beautiful pub in the historic center of Tivoli: the staff is very welcoming, professional, kind, and available to accommodate guests' requests. The food (excellent) is inspired by London and Scottish culinary culture. Prices are reasonable. Go with confidence!

21/05/2026: Lovely cafe, pasticceria and bakery. Sour and sweet options (food can be warmed up), coffee, and nice service. Several seats available inside and outside. Staff speak English and are very helpful.

10/06/2026: We went to this restaurant for dinner and were delighted. The food is delicious, the two brothers who run it couldn't be friendlier, and the terrace is very peaceful. I ordered a calzone, and it was excellent. Home-style cooking in a restaurant with a local feel. When I return to Rome, I will definitely go back to this restaurant.

02/06/2026: We were warmly welcomed and served by Angelo and Tarek in an elegant and sophisticated setting. We chose a typical Roman dish, La Carbonara, which was perfect in every way. 20/05/2026: Basilica of Saint Paul Outside the Walls is absolutely worth visiting. First, there are barely any people here. Really almost no crowds. Second, it does not have all the barriers, chairs, and crowd control setup you see in many other famous churches in Rome, so you can actually enjoy the space quietly. What also makes this basilica special is that, unlike many famous churches in Rome, its origins go back to the 5th century. Even though it was destroyed in 1823, it was rebuilt almost exactly the same way. You can really feel the process of how the Romans transformed their architectural style into a Christian church. It is a bit far from the main tourist area, maybe around ten something minutes by taxi, but definitely very worth it.

01/06/2026: Il Falchetto has only been around since 1916. In Roman ageing it is a relatively new restaurant. Our waiter has spent a miserly 29 years keeping patrons happy! Somehow, given the short lifespan of Il Falchetto, it has found its rhythm - relaxed and reliable. The classic puntarelle antipasto was crisp and well dressed with a subtle anchovy and garlic combination. The curled chicory leaves soaked in the anchovy and garlic emulsion made for a great digestive starter. We followed this with lamb chops served with cicoria ripassata which is always a good pairing. Well worth a visit.
