31/07/2025: The view is lovely, the place though is crowded and loud. Sadly it took forever till we could order and till our coffee arrived. Getting a slice of cake was near impossible because the staff seemed overwhelmed, so we left without dessert.
30/07/2025: Fantastically beautiful location, delicious food, one of the staff was a bit less friendly and the order was wrong, but we didn't charge extra. A great experience 👍

05/07/2025: El mismo día que llegamos a la Toscana decidimos ir a un restaurante cercano recomendado por el hotel. Llegamos al establecimiento donde mi hija de 11 años (que habla Italiano con fluidez) se adelantó y preguntó si podían hospedarnos a los 4. El anfitrión inmediatamente comenzó a maltratarla, en voz muy alta, preguntándole si no era capaz de levantar el teléfono y llamar para solicitar una reserva, entre otras ofensas. Se aseguró de que todo el restaurante pudiera escucharlo e incluso después de que salimos del restaurante pudimos escucharlo haciendo bromas sobre nosotros y los clientes riendo. Seamos claros aquí: si logras ser cruel con un niño, no es un rasgo de personalidad ni tampoco se trata de que no te importe lo que piensen los demás. ES SIMPLEMENTE CRUEL Y MALVADO. Y los clientes que se ríen son igual de malos. Por lo tanto, te sugiero que si lees este post y estás en Montefollonico evites este restaurante o, si lo prefieres, pases por allí, pidas una mesa y cuando te traten mal respondas en el buen y viejo Italiano: VAFFAN… C. U. ¡¡¡L.O!! !! !

06/12/2025: The bruschetta with oil, rosemary, and salt was very good. The vegetable lasagna was also good. Just a small note... please add a more detailed description because it's hard to find the place right away.
28/11/2025: A truly wonderful experience. I had "Trippa Alla Toscana," which is tripe soup. Certainly not everyone's cup of tea, but I really wanted to try it. Apparently, it's a regional specialty. It was fantastic; you just shouldn't think too much about what you're eating (tripe cut into strips)... There was also excellent bread with olive oil, a good espresso to finish, and a complimentary, incredibly delicious sweet bread with raisins from the owner. The slightly inflated price of the white wine was ultimately irrelevant. Thank you! I was there at the end of November, by the way; otherwise, this undoubtedly very special city is certainly a tourist trap. Plus, cool music, lots of Pink Floyd...

08/12/2025: We were here at the end of October. We'd ordered two glasses of wine from the wine shop across the street, and for something to eat, we had to order from this place that either collaborates with or is owned by the same owner. A platter of crostini with pecorino cheese to accompany the wine—we're talking finger food, meant to be picked up with your fingers and eaten in one bite. The waiter started putting out paper placemats and cutlery for us, but I told him there wasn't any need because we'd each have eaten two crostini with our hands. The waiter told me he should have at least put out placemats; he was a little embarrassed, and I already knew how it would end. I went to pay after this mini aperitif, and at the cashier, in addition to the cost of the platter (perhaps €8), I was charged €2.50 per person for the service charge, for two of us. I pointed out what we'd ordered and how absurd it seemed to me to pay €5 for a cover charge on an €8 cutting board, for two paper placemats that they could have avoided. The lady at the cash register told me she could take a cover charge off, but that I had to leave one. I wanted to give two stars because the crostini were good, but it's not that difficult to make a meal that I couldn't give a star for this embarrassing decision to charge two for four crostini. Ridiculous! I sensed the waiter's embarrassment first in having to comply with this practice chosen by the restaurant management, setting the table as if for dinner even though there was no need, and then after witnessing the scene at the cash register. Keep milking tourists like this. Americans have been showing a growing interest in Brunello for a few years now. Perhaps you feel you can ignore Italian tourists. Keep going like this and you'll find yourself without any Italian or American tourists, as has already happened in other areas of Italy, where prices have continued to rise until people got tired of being ripped off and started going elsewhere.

The location is adequate, though noticeably removed from the city's more vibrant and desirable attractions, which may pose a slight inconvenience for those wishing to explore the area more easily.
24/07/2025: Parking is available on site. Luggage is delivered to and from the room by a service. The complex consists of a 12th-century monastery and other outbuildings. The room is large, clean, and well-equipped. Personally, I missed having a wardrobe to unpack my suitcase. However, we were there for almost a week. Most visitors only stay two to three nights. The outdoor pool is absolutely fantastic. There are plenty of loungers, as long as they aren't double-booked by Americans (sun and shade). We didn't use the rest of the spa area; we were always out and about. The staff is nice and friendly. Breakfast is served on the terrace in good weather, and the selection is good. Now for the negatives: the dinner could definitely be better in terms of quality. We tried the food twice and were disappointed both times. The steak was tough for us, and the steak was tough for the next table two days later. One even went back to the kitchen. My pasta with ragu tasted more like a snack bar. I've been passionate about cooking authentic Italian food for years. I buy authentic Italian products. The food was a complete disappointment. We hadn't expected anything different. We weren't even asked for our opinion at checkout. Nobody seemed to care. Summary: Top-notch facilities and staff, dinner in the village or on the go.

12/10/2025: We were in town for our wedding, and for our first evening dinner we wanted to treat our guests to authentic Italian pizza. La Pergola was on our minds from the moment we decided to have our wedding in Radicondoli, as our plan was always to share delicious pizza with everyone on the first night. The owners of La Pergola were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, even with our large order. They delivered some of the best pizza we had during our trip — truly 5-star flavors! All of our guests absolutely loved it, and every slice was gone by the end of the night. Although we didn’t have the chance to dine in and enjoy the beautiful views of the restaurant, we’ll definitely come back to experience it next time. Highly recommended! 15/09/2025: Restaurant: The food in this restaurant is undoubtedly very good – you can immediately tell that the chef really knows what he's doing. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is completely out of whack. For a small restaurant in a tiny and relatively unknown town like Montisi, the prices are completely exorbitant. There are only two flat rates for primi piatti and secondi piatti – this means, for example, that you have to pay a whopping €22 for a tiny soup that definitely won't fill you up. Even €12 would be quite high for that, but €22 is truly outrageous. The bigger problem, however, is the ordering policy: After we had already ordered a drink and actually only wanted one main course, the waiter informed us that we had to order two dishes per person. The information about this is only mentioned in very small print at the bottom of the menu. This means that guests are either forced to eat more (and pay significantly more) than they actually want – or leave the restaurant. That's exactly what happened at the next table: The guests got up and left because they couldn't afford or didn't want to comply with this rule. We ourselves did order a second course, but it felt very strange to be forced to do so. In my opinion, such a practice is neither hospitable nor economically sensible. Either you allow guests to order according to their hunger and appetite and still make money, or you force them to order two courses and ultimately lose customers. I've never experienced anything like this in Italy, and frankly, I find it extremely rude.
26/06/2025: La Romita es un pintoresco restaurante dirigido por la familia que sirve comida tradicional toscana casera. Éramos 4 adultos que compartimos dos aperitivos que eran increíbles y disfrutamos de primer y segundo plato y luego compartimos un postre. Aunque no son baratos los precios eran comparables a otros restaurantes de calidad en los que hemos estado y la calidad de los platos era excepcional. Los propietarios hablan un poco de inglés, pero logramos entender lo que se ofrecía con la ayuda de un menú en inglés que explicaba algunos de los platos que se ofrecen. Una experiencia auténtica que disfrutaríamos felizmente de nuevo.

01/05/2025: Abbiamo preferito l'ottima cucina senese, a base di carne e pasta fatta in casa a mano, al menu di pesce, e siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti: i piatti, molto curati ed appetitosi, di grande qualità, serviti con attenzione, sono stati tutti molto piacevoli. Il locale, di lunga tradizione, è molto piacevole.
30/04/2025: Era la prima volta che ci andavamo, anche se in pieno centro della nostra città. Sapevamo già che non sarebbe stata una cena da poca spesa, però l'importante è che siamo stati benissimo. Le pietanze erano veramente ottime, ci siamo sentiti "coccolati" . Il personale è veramente professionale e più che cortese. Siamo stati veramente bene

12/12/2025: The tagliatelle with mushrooms was good, but I asked for parmesan, which was brought late, with mockery pointing out that it wasn't needed! I didn't like the lemon cream tart and it was piping hot, but most importantly, they brought us a jug of frothed milk to stain our coffee, which was spoiled: the milk had turned to ricotta and had separated from the whey.

22/04/2025: Cibi pessimo, birra allungata, servizio ancora peggio, cameriera molto maleducata. Abbiamo chiesto il cambio del primo piatto perché faceva un cattivo odore (pici con la nana) la cameriera ha inventato delle scuse improponibili per non farlo. Credo proprio che non ci ritorno
02/03/2025: Tuffo nel passato con sapori autentici e genuini come le persone che ci lavorano. Ottimi sia i pici al ragù bianco che le scaloppine ai porcini e la tagliata al rosmarino. Prezzi onesti , sicuramente da fermarsi se si è in zona .
