15/06/2024: While staying at a nearby hotel on a package tour, I stumbled upon a cafe that was open early in the morning. I tried the espresso at the counter and enjoyed it for a reasonable price. I think it's like a mill for local residents :)

21/08/2024: Extremely well located hotel with very welcoming and caring staff. Evening meals on the terrace with a view of San Giminiano will remain unforgettable moments. I recommend +++

15/08/2024: We stayed at this hotel for one night to see San Gimignano. The location of the hotel is very good and there is a small parking lot right in front of the house. This is where the positive things end for us. We booked a deluxe double room, which turned out to be a very simple room. The bathroom is really in need of renovation, very small and not very clean. Shower dimensions 60x60 cm. The cistern hangs under the ceiling and takes about 30 minutes to fill up again. The air conditioning is absolutely not sufficient for the room. We wouldn't book here again.

20/07/2024: Passare da Torrita di Siena vale sempre la pena e, questa volta, la sosta di mezzodì è toccata al ristorante pizzeria Piccolo. Gentili ad accogliere, il ragazzo che lo fa è professionale e aggiunge quel pizzico di empatia che fa scattare la differenza. Il locale porta in sè un'impronta pugliese e il menù ne contrassegna l'identità. Scegliamo melanzane fritte con pomodoro e mozzarella, pici al sugo bianco e un calice di prosecco per non eccedere: fa caldo e poi la prudenza è d'obbligo. Buoni i piatti scelti, interessante il menù che comprende pesce, impeccabile il servizio. Locale pulito, così come i servizi. Rapporto qualità prezzo onesto. E, per non tralasciare niente, il pane fatto in proprio, anzi, i pani e i grissini. Bravi, consiglio di provarlo. E viva, insieme alla nostra Torrita, anche la Puglia. Maurizio Guccione - Lucca

17/07/2024: una bellissima terrazza esterna coperta per cenare al fresco con vista sulla Valdichiana. il menù contiene piatti molto particolari, cibo buonissimo e di qualità. i ravioli ripieni di pesce e conditi con salsa agli agrumi sono favolosi. i prezzi assolutamente onesti, i titolari estremamente cortesi e disponibili a venire incontro a tutte le esigenze, il cuoco molto bravo e creativo. Anche la pizza, che ho mangiato in una precedente occasione, è buonissima. Assolutamente consigliato.

29/08/2024: Wir hatten hausgemachte Bandnudeln mit Trüffeln und Butter. Köstlich. Dazu ein Glas Wein. Auch die Location war schön. Atmosphäre auf der Straße typisch toskanisch. Der Service angenehm und aufdringlich. Vielen Dank

20/08/2024: The food is good if you have time to wait for it to arrive. I'm sorry to report this criticism but with eight tables in a row, the waiting times I found myself facing were unacceptable, not only me but also the rest of the diners at the other tables. Over the course of an hour we were only served simple Tuscan crostini and crostini with lard and pecorino. After an hour and the constant thought of leaving, we were served pasta (fresh pasta that cooks for 5 minutes) and we informed the waiter that we were giving up the second courses. A real shame given the good quality of the ingredients but we really aren't there with the service, asking several times for orders to be taken or seeing two waitresses urgently cleaning the same table without it being occupied seems crazy to me, while I'm at it the people at the tables waiting.

11/07/2024: In realtà non abbiamo proprio mangiato.!!! Per 10 minuti di ritardo ci hanno chiamato e ci hanno annullato la prenotazione!! Inammissibile!!!! Ma che ristorante siete???? Pessimi!

06/07/2024: This restaurant came highly recommended so it might have been that our expectations were too high. We were warned that Albo the owner is a “character” and that is definitely true. Hard to say how much of the grumpiness is for show versus reality. Definitely did not appreciate our arriving without a reservation despite an empty restaurant that only grew to half full. The house special pici pasta in the pecorino wheel was very good. I wasn’t able to eat the filet of beef as it was too undercooked…despite my asking for it medium -well for which Albo gave me a hard time. Their house limoncello was a blend of fruity flavors that were delicious. I didnt love the hard sell of logod napkins departure. I would visit again if I was in the area but wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

29/08/2024: My experience at "Il Tomato" was wonderful. From the moment we entered, the welcoming atmosphere and attentive staff made us feel at home. The menu offered a delicious range of pizzas (both white and red), all expertly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. If you want, you also have the possibility to choose different types of salad, if you want to go light ;). Furthermore, it is located near the church of San Domenico and allows you to have a view of the Duomo, Torre del Mangia... especially in the evening at sunset the show is truly spectacular. Having said that, I highly recommend it if you stay in Siena, it gives you a great experience!

26/08/2024: Posto carino e siamo stati bene al fresco con un panorama spettacolare anche le pizze buonissime se non fosse che per farle sono stati impiegati 40 min da quando siamo arrivati Cibo buono ma servizio da rivedere

27/07/2024: We often go to eat there, most of the time the food is good but at least 3 times we were disappointed. The pizzas are now very good but for today the tasteless sautéed mussels are full of oil, arriving 20 minutes after the pizzas. Service a little botched. They forgot to bring us a beer. I understand that it's Saturday but so the desire to go back goes away.

10/06/2024: Pranzo di compleanno eccezionale, dallo Spugnone. Personale molto simpatico, che non guasta mai, e disponibile. Menù vario e tipico Gli antipasti misti, crostone con lardo, alici al pesto, formaggi con salse molto buoni. Primi piatti, gustosi, saporiti, abbondanti. Lo chef, campione del mondo per i lumacci (le lumache). Messe al centro del tavolo, il solito "giusto un assaggio per tutti", è stato un piatto divorato, amato e apprezzato da tutti. Eccellente! Rapporto qualità / prezzo più che onesto. Consigliatissimo

26/05/2024: We ate there twice during our vacation and were very pleasantly surprised both times. The service was mostly good, sometimes a bit lacking, but after a short reminder the problem was always solved immediately. The food was excellent and always left you more than 100 percent full! If I come back to Chiusdino I will definitely eat there again!
