An amazing and intimate dining experience. The vibes were cozy and the food was so fresh and divine. You can taste the hard work and love that went into it. We highly recommend and of course order a bottle of wine.

I found this resto from Michelin guide and thought it could be a very good idea even though the review is 4.3, then I realise why it is only 4.3…..

Il Grappolo Blu is a Montalcino inn with a remarkable wine list (fitting a wedding album!!). Even though they'd already given away the table we'd reserved because we were late (parking in Montalcino during the holidays isn't exactly easy, we discovered), they managed to seat us fairly quickly. The bruschetta with cavolo nero and cannellini beans was excellent, and the rabbit in Brunello sauce and pici pasta were delightful. The wines are reasonably priced. The service wasn't the most attentive, and there could be room for improvement in terms of customer service.

Rustic but well-kept location. Friendly owner. Homemade pinci (that's what pici are called here in Montalcino) are delicious. The wild boar with polenta is also a shame about the small portions. The wine is good, though the only downside is the desserts, which are so-so. Prices are in line with other restaurants in the area. Reservations are recommended.

I was lucky to arrive right when it opened and got a table without a reservation. But I recommend making a reservation, as many people were turned away at the door. Simple and very well-prepared food. Excellent wine list.

Good place, but I don't think it's the best. The staff was a bit rude... all in all, it wasn't bad, but I expected something more.

Very long wait times for ordering and serving the main course. Aperol Spritz without a real spritz. The food was okay, but nothing special. Lots of small bone pieces in the "wild" pork ragout, overcooked pasta, etc. I wouldn't go back.
