Il Torchio In Colle di val d'elsa

06/07/2026: We spent 10 days in Tuscany, and this was our favourite restaurant of the trip. The service was exceptional - genuinely warm, friendly, and attentive in a way that felt natural rather than rehearsed. The food and wine were both excellent: beautifully prepared, full of flavour, and clearly high quality. We were lucky enough to have a table overlooking the thermal waters, which made the whole experience incredibly atmospheric and memorable. Swallows flew low over our heads as we ate, adding a magical, almost cinematic feel to the evening.

02/07/2026: I encountered an ingredient called Puntarelle for the first time. I was told that Puntarelle is an ingredient available only for a brief seasonal period each year, and it was incredibly delicious. I ate burrata cheese at every restaurant throughout my trip to Italy, but this place was the best.
