05/01/2025: Simple place with a quiet atmosphere, a brick vaulted environment with glimpses of Tuscan tradition combined with contemporary works of art. It offers drinks, croissants, cutting boards and a wide variety of books, board games and pastimes. Hot chocolate from a machine with cream spray €3.50 Modest prices for being in the main street of the historic center of the village. Reachable from the main car park via the public lift located behind the keep and town hall, passing through a suggestive walkway and a very well-kept modern square.

06/10/2024: El mejor bar por lejos y el personal es tremendo Los lugareños son muy amables y le dan la bienvenida. Todo sucede en el bar desde la mañana hasta la noche, un verdadero centro local y no todo sobre el alcohol! Los niños locales vienen y compran sus dulces y helados, etc. Un verdadero placer. Fabuloso café y pasteles por la mañana y bocadillos de pizza, etc. durante el día Gran parada para ciclistas! Nos quedamos y nos sentimos parte.

08/06/2025: A lovely little osteria on a side street in San Gimignano, away from the hustle and bustle of the crowds. The pizza was very good, as was the house wine. The price (including €3 covers per person) is still acceptable.

05/06/2025: Good restaurant with typical Tuscan dishes in the historic center of San Gimignano and with outdoor seating. Excellent tagliatelle with wild boar, grilled steak but also the cold cuts from the cutting board. All cheered up by good house wine - Chianti - and the friendliness and cordiality of the owner.

11/05/2025: Room OK after complaint, service cool, breakfast spartan and always too little available, egg dishes and fried bacon always cold.

08/05/2025: While the hotel is not in the old city center it is only a 400 m walk away on sidewalks beside the road. It’s nice to also have a bar and restaurant for breakfast and dinner on premise. Last night I had the Tuscan bean soup. Very traditionally made with soft white beans, fresh spinach and bread and drizzled with olive oil. Flavors subtle the way it was meant to be in an average home. The baked chicken with saffron topped with asparagus was just right. Moist and tender inside with al dente asparagus. A fine end to a day on via Francigena.

21/05/2025: Di passaggio a Montalcino cerchiamo un posto dove mangiare e ci incuriosisce il menù esposto di questo locale, scegliamo un antipasto GRAN BAIETTO, buono ma forse un po' esagerato nel prezzo 35,00€ anche se i prodotti erano buoni non è proprio un prezzo leggero. I primi deludenti, i pici al tartufo completamente insapori il riso allo zafferano secco e asciutto da non riuscire a finirlo. Esperienza sicuramente non esaltante

19/05/2025: Terrible) I do not recommend) Service -5 They look at customers as if they are crap ( Service 1/10) Toilet 1/10(( Kitchen 3/10 (probably against the background of service and toilet) After the contrast of the area - this restaurant is the worst of all that I have tried in Italy. Also, the local sommelier wanted to push the most expensive wine - to us as tourists. And then with a dissatisfied face looked at why they did not buy it. I do not recommend to anyone. Look for other restaurants in the area) All the best and good service 😄🤗😈

22/05/2025: Everything was really tasty, food was really good, the gnocchi were amazing and the meat really good quality. Highly recommended

11/04/2025: If sadness had a flavor, this meal nailed it. It was like someone Googled “food” five minutes before cooking and gave up halfway through. Bland, joyless, and assembled with all the finesse of a toddler playing with mashed potatoes. Honestly, I’ve had more exciting meals in hospital cafeterias. A true culinary crime scene.

02/05/2025: I asked for pici all'aglione and grilled vegetables: at the end of lunch I pointed out to the owner that those were not "pici all'aglione", but pici seasoned with tomato puree and pieces of green beans. The owner replied that I couldn't afford to say that they weren't pici all'aglione. I paid and left the restaurant without any further discussion. Another restaurant crossed off my list.

28/04/2025: very pleasant restaurant. Quiet terrace. great family food, plentiful and reasonably priced. Warm welcome. The boss even welcomed us at 2pm. In short, very satisfied with this place.

12/05/2025: Just had a fabulous dinner. Beautiful stone interior creates a very quaint Italian dining experience. The servers were very professional and attentive. The food was some of the best we have had during our 10 days in Tuscany. It is a quiet town south of Montalcino. Park in the free lot and make the climb up to the restaurant in the main square. If someone in your party and needs a little help they can be dropped off right in front.

03/05/2025: Locale molto curato che offre cucina tipica toscana situato in un piccolissimo borgo denominato Sant’Angelo in Colle. Piatti genuini con prodotti freschi e di qualità, come ad esempio l’ottima pasta fresca fatta in casa o gli gnocchi di patate. Consigliato!

27/05/2025: We were met by the rudest waiter we’ve ever encountered. Arrogant, condescending, and downright unpleasant from the moment we walked in. We turned around and left — it simply wasn’t worth staying. If this place wants to keep attracting guests, they seriously need to reconsider who they let represent them. A shame, because the surroundings looked promising.

24/05/2025: We had a screaming crowd from start to finish. Devastating. The food was good.

22/04/2025: A Huge disappointment, the entrance was very oily and the pasta was not even salty enough. Not bread or cheese was offer with the pasta. Super expensive too.

27/05/2025: We had the tasting menu and it was incredibly tasty and great value for money. The wine is locally grown and is delicious, highly recommend this restaurant which has unbeatable views of the Tuscan countryside

03/06/2025: Posto incantevole , immerso nel cuore del Chianti . Si possono degustare cocktail super buoni con una gran scelta di gin, vodke e torbati e inoltre assaggiare tra le svariate bottiglie di vino che il Chianti ha da offrire. Staff super al top, gentilissimo e super disponibile……. Che dire un perfetto cocktail bar milanese nel centro del Chianti.

07/06/2025: For those who are not demanding and prioritize price, this is the right place. A characteristic, rustic winery with beautiful Tuscan nature, swimming pool and panoramic restaurant with stunning views. A large apartment with a living room and two bedrooms (with air conditioning in both rooms)), but with little comfort and a bad bathroom. In the living room, there is a kitchen counter with a stove, toaster and kettle (no microwave), but there is no socket on the wall of the counter (!?). There is also a small TV (the size of a computer monitor) The sofa in the living room is unusable, as the upholstery is worn out and you practically sit on hard wood. No armchair or comfortable place to sit in the room. Cleaning of the apartment is not included, but there are also no cleaning materials available, not even a disinfectant for the bathroom or dishwashing detergent. Terrible Wi-Fi. It is only good for reading WhatsApp or email. It does not download a video or photo. Breakfast is very weak and incomplete, and with poor service. As I said, an excellent place, which could be a great and characteristic hotel, after a good renovation or, at least, a little more attention with some details, to give us more confort. But maybe that is not really the owners' goal. We have to respect this.

16/05/2025: I spent two days there, very positive, good rooms, very courteous staff and tactical location between Siena and Florence. Very pleasant appetizers and main courses, unfortunately I did not taste the first courses, very pleasant wines of their production, honorable mention for their white grappa as sweet as it is effective.
