31/05/2026: Excellent experience and ambience clouded by bad attitude. Strolling the side streets and minor avenues may often bring positive surprises. This will be one of them. An indeed nice spot away from the hustle and busy tourist tracks. Food is excellently well prepared. Not too much. Not too sparse. (Tosta crudo, risotto, formaggi) Served at the exact moment you are ready for it. Comprehensive - and impressive - winelist. So why just two stars for the ambience? Well this quiet evening, the owner (apparently) decided to be seated outside at the other table next to me. - He was noisy. Mainly on his phone. Watching late night shows while having his meal. Making phone calls. Informally having the staff at his table. Fine. OK. But smoking made it for me. I’d love to come back. Also with friends and family. With great pleasure. However this attitude needs to be adjusted.

08/03/2026: Found this on random and gave it a try. It was not bad at all but the value for money is not adequate in my opinion. The mix of appetizers was good but pretty average. I enjoyed the pigeon which I haven't had for years. The tiramisu once again just normal. The service guy was weird with no emotions. The meals are sure fancy but too pricy in comparison with what you can get nearby.

09/06/2026: Solid place to eat, easy to get to, well-priced with a frequently updated menu. Not a classic trattoria vibe but a genuinely solid more trendy kinda place. Weird vibe though. Idk what it was but there was a weird vibe.

09/06/2026: We visited Casella 18 on the recommendation of our Florence tour guide. We were so glad to have found this gem! We specifically went for the Florentine steak, but enjoyed the whole experience immensely. The family run establishment is warm and welcoming... we felt like family by the time we left! We missed taking photos of the remainder of our meal, but everything was excellent. We asked for course recommendations for our family of five, and ordered chianti reserva, along with the Florentine steak and it was all exceptional. We would happily go back if we ever return to Florence!

12/03/2026: We randomly went here as other restaurants were closed and god was that a blessing. The food was incredible, tasted amazing, big portions and beautiful plating. The ambient is also stellar, they have a bar in house which is on the other side of the place so it doesn't bother the dining experience. The staff makes you feel at home and well taken care of. The experience was so good we came back the next night. If you are in the area this restaurant is a must stop. Special thanks to the young staff member that got us the ragu recipe. We will be coming back to this place 100%

17/05/2026: Couple's lunch. A perfect day decided at the last minute. We had lunch here with a mixed Tuscan antipasto...abundant and mouthwatering! A Florentine steak made from local Chianina beef, about 1.5 kg, tender and cooked to perfection, as God intended. The staff was professional, kind, friendly, and empathetic. A memorable day. Highly recommended!

From appetizers to dessert, including meat dishes, it's not just a lunch or dinner, but an experience to be savored in a high-profile location.

30/05/2026: Discovered by chance in the center of Grassina, and what a lovely surprise! Truly excellent platters and authentic, flavorful, and well-prepared Tuscan cuisine. The added bonus? Gino, the unexpected host: a bit of a pirate in style, but incredibly knowledgeable and capable of putting you at ease right away. An absolutely worthwhile experience!

12/05/2026: I returned to the restaurant after the pizza and enjoyed some truly delicious dishes: generous and beautifully presented appetizers, excellent meat and fish, and exceptional desserts. The quality/price ratio was fair. The wait staff was excellent and very friendly. It will become a favorite.

02/05/2026: I don't usually write reviews, but yesterday, eating at this restaurant for the first time, I felt compelled. The attentive, courteous staff immediately made you feel at home, the refined atmosphere, and the food was superb. You could taste the excellent quality of the ingredients, the dishes were meticulously prepared down to the last detail. The fried fish was amazing, the dry vegetable tempura light, and the vegetables delicious. The grilled octopus with a pistachio pesto that was simply delicious. The beef slices melted in your mouth and were cooked perfectly as we requested. And to finish, an apple tart with mascarpone cream, both executed excellently, making for an unforgettable end. There were three of us, and we barely spoke while eating as we savored the food. Excellent in every way!!!

10/11/2025: A cozy and modern place. The peposo was excellent, as was the lasagna, and the tiramisu was very good. Excellent service.

09/11/2025: The restaurant is ok, the food is good and the ambient is also good. Nevertheless, it does not worth the 4.8 starts. It’s just too expensive for the quality of the food

06/04/2026: We visited this fantastic place for Easter Monday. I have to say, everything was perfect...the lamb stuffed with artichokes and the slow-cooked pork tenderloin were sublime! And the homemade olive oil...you can't get enough of it! The entire staff was courteous, attentive, and friendly. We'll definitely be back!
