12/03/2026: Our friends arrived separately from us and were recommended Yellow Door by their tassista for our large group of four adults and three children. He called and made a reservation on our behalf with the manager, Simon, who promptly set us up with a table within an hour of making the reservation. The entire staff was friendly and took incredible care of us. However, special thanks goes to our server, Guiditta, who was incredibly kind, attentive, and patient with our group of two families. She made great recommendations and we left feeling taken care of and appreciative of her attention to our table—as well as genuinely enjoying our conversation with her beyond her service. Florence always gets it right on the hospitality front, but I can’t imagine a better experience for a larger party and last-minute reservation. Well exceeded any expectations. Well done, Yellow Bar. We look forward to our return!

17/02/2026: Location: A spacious restaurant 30 seconds from the train station and very close to the historic center of Pontassieve. It features two main rooms, a small private area, and an outdoor area adjacent to the main road in the summer. The interior is decorated in a rustic, welcoming, and warm Tuscan style. Food: The menu features both seafood and meat dishes (though not predictable), but the pizza is my favorite. It's well-risen and easy to digest. The menu offers a wide variety of tasty and innovative options, often based on seasonal ingredients. A staple in several courses is the bardiccio, a typical local sausage, flavorful and definitely worth trying. Service: Courteous, punctual, and helpful. In summary: My wife and I often frequent Bastian Contrario for the excellent variety of pizzas they offer, the warm and welcoming atmosphere, the attention to ingredients, and the beer pairings.

10/11/2025: A cozy and modern place. The peposo was excellent, as was the lasagna, and the tiramisu was very good. Excellent service.

30/01/2026: We ordered pizza and salad, both very bad. The menu outside didn't match what was inside. The waiter saved the day; he was very attentive. The food was awful, but that was our fault for ordering pizza here.

24/01/2026: Very good grilled meat, top-notch Argentinean red wine, I'd say. It's a small, charming place in the heart of Florence. The service is excellent, very friendly and helpful. There's a party atmosphere and music, and after dinner you can even have a drink, just like in a pub. It's lovely, I'll be back.

01/02/2026: A truly spectacular restaurant in the heart of the historic center. Attention to detail and expertly prepared dishes. The crostoni with chicken livers and the first courses were excellent. Tagliatelle with wild boar ragù was delicious. The beef fillet was spectacular and cooked to perfection. Caterina in the dining room is the jewel in the crown. Friendly, very knowledgeable, fast, and truly charming. Kudos also to Daniele, who runs the restaurant with professionalism. Thank you all so much. We'll be back soon...

12/03/2026: We randomly went here as other restaurants were closed and god was that a blessing. The food was incredible, tasted amazing, big portions and beautiful plating. The ambient is also stellar, they have a bar in house which is on the other side of the place so it doesn't bother the dining experience. The staff makes you feel at home and well taken care of. The experience was so good we came back the next night. If you are in the area this restaurant is a must stop. Special thanks to the young staff member that got us the ragu recipe. We will be coming back to this place 100%

13/02/2026: A real gem, my French friends! A superb Italian restaurant with a refined, romantic, and convivial atmosphere! You immediately feel at ease. The service is impeccable. The homemade fresh pasta is delicious. And the desserts are a true delight, the perfect way to end the meal. Plus, there's a magnificent view, and at the end of the day you can admire the sunset! I come back to this restaurant every year.

18/03/2026: I went for dinner at the beginning of the week out of season so there were plenty of free seats, a modest wine list and a truly superb quality of dishes

02/03/2026: A quiet and refined place with well-spaced tables. The food is a bit pricey but very good, no complaints there. The customer service is fantastic, and the wine list is excellent. I would definitely recommend it.
