06/04/2026: We visited this fantastic place for Easter Monday. I have to say, everything was perfect...the lamb stuffed with artichokes and the slow-cooked pork tenderloin were sublime! And the homemade olive oil...you can't get enough of it! The entire staff was courteous, attentive, and friendly. We'll definitely be back!

The service impressed us: a rare kindness and attention to detail that makes you feel truly welcome. The seafood is top-notch; admittedly, the bill is a bit pricey, but the freshness of the ingredients and the attention we received make it absolutely worth it. I didn't stay in the rooms, so I can't rate them, and parking may require a little patience, but the dining experience is more than worth it. A truly relaxing stop that I highly recommend.

18/04/2026: We happened upon Blu Bar Bistrot on our last night in Italy and all agreed it was our favorite meal there. This is a casual place with a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The quality, freshness, balanced and delicious flavors of the food took us by surprise. We were so delighted to find everything we ordered made with so much care and fabulous. We ordered Risotto, a couple sandwiches, wine, and a beautiful pear and pecorino salad. The focaccia was the best we encountered in 2 weeks in Italy. It was a perfect meal outside on a spring late afternoon surrounded by the conversations and the low key bustle of the pedestrian street in San Casciano. And the prices were so reasonable. One of the things we loved about our afternoon in San Casciano is that unlike nearby San Giminagano, for example, it seems like a city made for the people who live in it, not just for tourists. So next to Blu Bar is a green grocer with lovely local produce, a couple gelaterias nearby, and locals were having afternoon drinks and greeting friends as they went about their errands. The vibes were just so relaxed and friendly. Highly recommend a delicious meal at this place.

10/04/2026: We spent a night at the restaurant and came with our camper through AgriCamper. Honestly, we were very happy with both the food and the service. Since we were traveling with our two-and-a-half-year-old baby, we really appreciated that they served her first. Contrary to what some Americans have mentioned here, for us that was great, especially since we didn’t even ask for it. It was truly wonderful and one of the highlights of our experience. The service was consistently excellent, and the food was delicious, extremely delicious. I highly recommend the pasta, especially the seafood spaghetti. I enjoyed every single bite. Bravo to the chef. Another thing we loved and highly recommend is ordering a local digestive at the end of the meal. We found out it’s made by the father of the owner or manager, who only speaks Italian. It’s definitely worth trying after dinner. It’s a shame we couldn’t buy a bottle since they only have large ones for the restaurant, but it was incredibly good. 100% recommended.

26/12/2025: Christmas lunch 2025, we had a truly wonderful time! Beautiful atmosphere, welcoming, spacious, and bright. Very organized service, no waiting, and very smooth, with extremely friendly staff. Excellent food! The festive ragù and artichoke risotto were top-notch, the appetizers and main course were also delicious. We'll be happy to return, thank you for making our Christmas special!

The selection is vast, and every product speaks of a love for raw ingredients, confirmed by the Slow Food partnership (with a discount for members!). What I admire most is the concrete commitment to combating food waste: membership in Too Good To Go demonstrates a rare and modern sensibility. But the real added value is Alessandra, the owner: a person of rare kindness who always welcomes you with a smile. A must-have for those seeking excellence and ethics. Highly recommended!

24/04/2026: I booked for dinner 3 weeks in advance and 3 hours before the time of my reservation I received an email from them canceling my reservation. I called and they stated it was cancelled without reason.
