15/11/2025: I visited Limonaia di Villa Senni for the first time, taking advantage of an event in Scarperia and wanting to treat my family to a special evening. The entrance itself is a spectacular calling card: the corridor of plants, the monumental tree, the elegant yet never stuffy atmosphere. The staff was immediately friendly and very welcoming. We focused on the first courses: gnocchi and fettuccine with truffle and mushrooms, truly sensational, rich, balanced dishes that perfectly showcased the raw ingredients. Then we indulged in the Florentine steak: excellent quality, impeccably cooked, and evidently aged, but for us—three of us, with my wife only tasting a small piece—perhaps it was too generous. With such a successful first course, we probably would have done better to stick to that approach. The wine list is extensive and well-constructed; we chose a local prosecco that complemented the dinner with freshness. The prices are above average, but consistent with the quality of the location, the cuisine, and—if I remember correctly—the Michelin-starred restaurant. In short: beautiful location, excellent first courses, impeccable service. I absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for an elegant experience in Scarperia.

30/10/2025: Post-Mugello lunch with a view... of Fiorentina! 😋 After a morning of roaring engines and breathtaking curves, we treated ourselves to a tasty break at Bonaugo! Arriving at 2:30 PM (when in some places they look askance at you), they greeted us with a smile and so much kindness. From there on... it was all downhill. Actually, no, it was pure pleasure! We started with two first courses that smelled of the woods: 🍝 Tortelli Mugellani with porcini mushrooms and Tagliolini with porcini mushrooms and truffle Then came HER: 🥩 The Bistecca alla Fiorentina - cooked rare to perfection, with a crispy crust on the outside and a tender and juicy inside, accompanied by beans al fiasco and fried potatoes. All washed down with a fresh and light house sparkling white and a Rosso di Montalcino that held its own against the queen Fiorentina with style. A sweet finale with a truly well-made strudel, which makes for a satisfying end to your meal. A family atmosphere, fast and courteous service, authentic dishes, and a fair bill. Would I go back? Absolutely. Perhaps hungrier. Or with any excuse. A top recommendation. Mugello style.

26/10/2025: Very good pizza, excellent quality ingredients. I'm giving it 4 stars because we found the dough a bit chewy, but the seasonal pizza I had was truly phenomenal; the chestnuts gave it that extra touch. Satisfied

14/07/2025: Let me start by saying I don’t normally write reviews. There are places I reminisce on eating at and think this is a taste I have never had before. There is about 3 other in this category but boy oh boy does this make the list.

13/07/2025: Excellent schiacciata and fair prices. I just suggest heating them less, as the prosciutto and especially the burrata tend to spoil with too much heat.

18/10/2025: A very nice family-run hotel. The rooms are super clean and very tastefully decorated. The breakfast was very good, and the dinner was also very tasty and delicious.

21/09/2025: Very lovely place- kind owner and beautiful location and the estate. There was a very good vibe about the place. We had a room with a garden view which was very nice. Cleaning is superb, and the options at breakfast are plenty(maybe missing some veggies and fruit). Cappuccino could be better. Wifi everywhere. The grounds are beautiful , although could use some maintenance

12/09/2025: One of the best gelatos I've ever tasted, their cremino flavor is truly excellent! The pastries are also very good; I often stop for breakfast with a delicious cappuccino and a pistachio croissant! It's definitely worth it; I've always had a great experience. The staff is kind and smiling, very welcoming! I recommend it without a doubt!

12/10/2025: We have had the privilege of experiencing Patricia and Toni's warm and welcoming hospitality several times. The Collina is a place to breathe deeply, relax, and enjoy. The many tips for excursions and restaurants were always spot on. The rooms are spotlessly clean, simple, and modern. We always slept wonderfully in them. The breathtaking panorama in the morning, whether looking out the window or at the edge of the pool, is incomparable. For us, the Collina is a small, exquisite paradise that is second to none. We highly recommend it.

18/09/2025: Definitely... The establishment is very well presented and has a pleasant outdoor space with reserved parking for guests. The cuisine is focused on quality, and it shows. Unfortunately, the seafood salad wasn't to my liking, but the fried oxtails were flavorful and dry, the grilled octopus was just the right amount of toughness, the spaghetti with clams was delicious, and the red prawns were delicate. To finish, we tried the tiramisu and the zuccotto, both homemade and both delicious. The service is attentive, although aside from Marco (my heartfelt compliments for his manners), there are some gross errors unworthy of the establishment. The bill is absolutely in line with the offerings and the quality of the food. An absolutely positive experience.
