17/09/2025: An intimate venue with interesting historical details about Castruccio Castracani from the early 14th century. The staff is courteous and knowledgeable, and the food lives up to expectations. Excellent as both a pizzeria and a restaurant.

07/10/2025: We went with friends, and I have to say the penne all'aconese was something special. For the main course, we had pizza, and for my taste, it wasn't the best. Overall, those who go to this restaurant come for the famous penne, which are worth it.

10/10/2025: Caffè mi Piace is a must! Roberto was such a pleasure making the best cappuccinos and serving our favorite croissants. He and his wife are filled with such joy you can’t help but leave Caffè mi Piace ready for the day with a pleased and content belly!

12/10/2025: After travelling all day, we were grateful to find an authentic Italian restaurant so close by to where we were staying. I had a very tasty pasta and cherry tomatoes dish and my partner had a carbonara. Both were incredible.

02/10/2025: Very kind and welcoming, but unfortunately the Florentine steak didn't meet my expectations. The rest of the menu must be good, as it was very busy.

20/09/2025: Four of us went for lunch for a birthday, and we ate for 10. The food was truly excellent, and the service was fast. Make sure you book, though, as it's always busy. I highly recommend it.

11/10/2025: I cannot, in good conscience, give this restaurant a good rating. This is the worst Michelin-star experience I’ve encountered; in fact, it’s the most disappointing meal of my entire trip to Italy. The presentation is beautiful, but the flavors missed the mark completely. The sweet shrimp dish is the only one I somewhat enjoyed, but it was merely scraps in the soup. It feels ridiculous to be served such a minimal portion for such an expensive meal. Can I please have a full shrimp? The tiny bits in there do not constitute a full serving. Then came the pasta, which was bland, and the stuffed pasta resembled mush—what was that? I completely lost it with the next dish: chicken liver. First off, another bread heavy dish after a few bread dishes already. The balancing and pace of this meal is completely off. Secondly, I usually relish, as I love pâté, foie gras, and similar delicacies. However, this dish tasted overwhelmingly bloody, making it inedible. The pigeon, which I am familiar with and grew up eating, also had an unpleasant taste, oozing with blood. I love a medium rare steak but this dish literally tasted like blood. At this point, I felt nauseated and decided to ask for the check before dessert. As for the bill, the waitress initially told us the drinks were complimentary, so we decided to give them a try. That turned out to be untrue. We were charged for everything, bringing our total to a staggering $450, which is excessively high, even by US standards. We left feeling robbed, and I even experienced stomach pain afterward. If you think you’ll enjoy a nice view during dinner, you are in for a disappointment. We were greeted with trees completely blocking the city skyline, only getting a glimpse of it after our meal. Additionally, I noticed there were only three tables occupied in the entire restaurant on a Friday night, which was quite telling. I wish I could have my time and money back. This was for our wedding anniversary and truly completely ruined our day. It’s an incredibly disappointing experience, and I can’t help but feel frustrated thinking about it.

07/10/2025: The food is every bit as special as the view and that’s saying a lot! The are twists and combinations in each course and they work! The coffee enhances the risotto, just as bbq sauce brings out the inherent sweetness in the carrots. My favorite dish was the beets, barely cooked, and shaped like a rose. I could have made a whole dinner out of that dish. The presentations are beautiful and the service impeccable. The chef greets each guest and somehow makes it all feel personal. This restaurant has all the mystique and beauty of Florence. Go!

28/08/2025: This is a wonderfully relaxed place to dine. The fish dishes are particularly recommended. The fact that the people of Castelfiorentino love and recommend this restaurant speaks for itself. Advance reservations are recommended on weekends.

09/10/2025: Not a lot of flavor choices, but the ice cream is creamy and very generous. The price is a bit high compared to other ice cream shops, but it's very good.

12/10/2025: We had two beef tartares for appetizers, and two first courses: pici with cherry tomatoes and burrata, and pici carbonara with truffle. The tomato pici were perhaps a little undercooked, but everything was delicious. However, after dinner and leaving the restaurant, we started feeling bloated, and not a little. The result was that we didn't sleep very well that night. The atmosphere was lovely and well-kept, with impeccable service from the waiters.

11/10/2025: The service was friendly and helpful, if a little slow to start with on a busy Saturday evening, bit there were prompt apologies for this. The food was excellent throughout, and it was a really pleasant and relaxed experience to spend along evening in the Osteria.
