05/03/2026: The experience was excellent. The staff is very friendly and nice. Our waiter recommended two dishes Ravioli Lambrusco and Pinse with Meats, and both were delicious. Clean place, clean toilets, and amazing staff. Definitely coming back again.

27/02/2026: Don't be fooled by the empty outside space; inside, it's very rustic and pleasant. The food is excellent, and from what I understand, the parmesan is their signature dish! The staff is friendly, and the bathroom is comfortable! The prices aren't cheap, but they're reasonable considering the location and the area average.

Overall, we ate well, but the menu left a little to be desired: the tagliolini were a bit overcooked, and the fillet arrived medium rare, even though I'd asked for it. The potatoes, ossobuco, and Tuscan crostini were good, however. Perhaps I expected a little more attention to detail in the dishes from a restaurant like this.

11/03/2026: I went to this trattoria for dinner for the first time. The atmosphere was welcoming and homey, just like the food. Family-run, the owners were kind, courteous, and friendly. The food was excellent; we had two first courses. Homemade pasta, a little too al dente for my taste, and many delicious dishes to choose from.

10/03/2026: I think the most surprising moment was crossing the threshold and visually finding yourself back in time, in an authentic 1980s setting, meticulously preserved and maintained down to the smallest detail. The staff is kind and friendly, and the food and dishes are truly delicious. The tortelli mugellani were excellent; the Milanese, one of the best I've ever eaten; and the chocolate cake, I'd say a marvel for my tastes. I highly recommend it.

Located in a quiet area, away from the tourist hustle and bustle, just steps from the Lungarno and Corso Italia, it offers a welcoming atmosphere and excellent food. The cuisine is delicious, featuring traditional Italian dishes prepared with fresh, quality ingredients. The decor is elegant and distinctive, with a touch of old-world charm that creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The wine list is excellent, with an interesting selection of local wines. The true heart of the restaurant is Mr. Carlo, a unique presence at San Paolo. A great chatterbox, he's always ready to share his incredible story, which saw him transition from pastry making to cooking, creating a perfect blend of tradition and innovation. His warm welcome and attention to detail make him a true ambassador for the restaurant. With great charm and passion, he manages to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making every customer feel at home, recommending the daily specials and selecting the finest wines. His energy and zest for life are contagious, and made our dinner at San Paolo an unforgettable experience. We ordered: Pappardelle with duck ragù; Paccheri with scorpionfish ragù; Sea bass and red mullet millefeuille; Fresh tuna steak with rosemary on sweet and sour onions; Cheesecake; Apple charlotte, wine, and coffee. We spent €96, which was definitely worth it for the quality of the food and service. We will definitely be back.

It's all very good, but there's NO way to fight mosquitoes other than spraying water and mosquito repellent at face level, without asking anyone, with the substance getting in your mouth and on your food. Fight them in other ways, but not like this.

16/02/2026: I had the opportunity to dine in this characteristic restaurant, the food is good, the service is friendly and kind... the only criticism I can make... there was the owners' child (beautiful) who came in and out of the kitchen and the staff was very dedicated to him, I consider this unprofessional and a little too noisy.

The Florentine steak, well, it speaks for itself, incredibly tender! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, a little tip: Ask for Vincenzo 😉…
