30/11/2025: Worth a visit for a pleasant and satisfying stop at the Valdichiana highway exit. Comfortable location, delicious Tuscan food, restaurant-quality, including the cantucci. Worth it.

30/11/2025: I tried the porchetta, which was really good. The place is surrounded by greenery, so it's nice. There's both indoor and outdoor seating. It's a perfect place for away fans.

27/02/2026: FABULOUS ITALIAN LUNCH ! This was our first visit to Europe and at this point we were about half way through our 2 week vacation in beautiful Italy. Our private limo driver Martin ( arranged by our travel agent ) picked us up at the Hotel Berchielli in Florence at 9am in the morning for the 110 km drive to our Airbnb apartment in Bologna....home for the next 3 days. Martin who is a dead ringer for the ultra famous John Belushi ( also from Albania ) made the scenic drive through the tranquil Italian countryside totally enjoyable for us. BEAUTIFUL SCENERY ! In fact what should have been a 2 hour plus drive turned into over 4 hours with our unscheduled diversions. Along the way we stopped at a fashion outlet mall and an electronics store inside a huge shopping mall to buy a few things we needed. LUNCH ! Martin said he would take us to one of his fav restaurants for delicious sandwiches. AND HE DID ! One of the things we were hoping to experience during our Italian vacation was lunch at some place off the tourist map. AND THIS WAS IT ! This restaurant was in the middle of nowhere to us but very familiar to Martin who lived in Florence. There was a huge selection of delicious looking panino ( flatbread ) sandwiches, full wine racks along the walls, a pizza restaurant upstairs ( evenings only ) and a virtual Italian supermarket. We all ordered PANINO SANDWICHES with different fillings. My wife also ordered an ESPRESSO and a slice of CHOCOLATE CAKE. I grabbed a bottle of ITALIAN PALE ALE from a fridge. VERY NICE ! The guy behind the counter opened it and gave me a chilled stem glass as I requested. Our fresh made fully loaded panino sandwiches tasted outstanding....as good as it gets ! My ice cold fruity Pale Ale tasted very refreshing. Meanwhile the restaurant was getting busier by the minute...no doubt a very popular local lunch spot. DESSERT ! My wife totally enjoyed her rich tasting Chocolate Cake slice. Martin and I loved our decadent CHOCOLATE & PISTACHIO CORNETTOS. In fact Martin paid for them. My wife bought half a slab of fresh made panino flatread to take with us....and it still made a delicious sandwich a day or two later. WE TOTALLY LOVED OUR ITALIAN LUNCH !

31/01/2026: Last night my boyfriend and I ordered a vegetarian pizza and a Chianina T-bone steak with a side of baked potatoes and salad. The pizza dough was light and easy to digest. The meat was incredibly fresh, cooked to perfection. The chef provided detailed advice on how to enjoy it. The baked potatoes were divine, cooked in a wood-fired oven. The place was clean and small, yet cozy. Pleasant background music. Kudos to the staff, and especially to the owners. I highly recommend it!

But what makes it truly unique are Andrea, the owner, his son Gabriele, and their staff, who, with professionalism, helpfulness, and care, organized everything beyond our expectations! They welcomed us with warmth and kindness, and for us, it felt like family. The food is delicious, high-quality, and meticulously crafted, and our guests were thrilled! A special thanks also goes to Emilio, the pianist, composer, and DJ we chose for our wedding. He made every moment of the day memorable with live music and classics that had all our guests dancing. 18/03/2026: We kept coming back here around lunch for their fantastic sandwiches several days in a row when visiting Florence. Didn't go inside, but getting a bite from their window shop and eating as you go is a great option if you're in a hurry. I recommend going for a "sandwich my way" which is where you pay around half price but the chef chooses what to put in your focaccia. This is perfect if you're not a picky eater, and we got some wonderful sandwiches that way :)

09/02/2026: A place from another era, the dining room certainly isn't the most modern, but inside you can feel the spartan, timeless charm of bold Tuscany. Homemade, fresh dishes, made with top-quality ingredients, and truly affordable prices. As it is, it's a classic trattoria that always proves to be a sure thing, far from those places that turn out to be tourist traps. A family-run local restaurant. Their Cinta Senese ragù with pinci is unparalleled: a spectacle! Dishes are paired with local wines, usually from the Fanti winery. The view from the dining room is spectacular.

06/01/2026: We were lucky enough to find a spot on the veranda, which was definitely better than the dining room at the entrance. The waitress was very kind and helpful, even though she was alone that day, and as soon as a few more people arrived, service began to slow down considerably. The house antipasto is absolutely worth it; the bruschetta was one better than the last! As for the Pinci, however, we were disappointed both by the pasta (overcooked) and by the sauce for the pinci with ragù, which was delicious, but we weren't thrilled with the fact that it was "supported" by the white pasta. The house wine was good! Overall, it's a place I recommend for its value!

We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Alessandro (a wonderful character who goes out of his way to satisfy his guests). He made us spend an unforgettable Sunday with exquisite dishes and great company. I can only highly recommend this place and we definitely want to return!!!

17/02/2026: The "Papaveri e Papere" restaurant is located in the San Miniato district, just outside the town center. Last Sunday, we were guests at this location. We enjoyed a meat-based tasting menu for lunch; the dishes were expertly plated with quality ingredients and beautifully presented in a captivating color palette. A wide array of courses, masterfully prepared by the chef, helped create an ideal, relaxing atmosphere. The sommelier in charge recommended an excellent local wine pairing: the 100% Sanforte, and it was a perfect choice. All the staff were kind, empathetic, professional, and prompt, demonstrating a marked and meticulous "customer focus." The atmosphere was very refined, and the restaurant also has ample parking. The price was more than fair, considering the quality and quantity. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The service is punctual, precise, and friendly: the waiters know the dishes well and are able to offer advice. Parking is available both in the parking lot in front and behind the restaurant, where there is also a small green space for children to play. The culinary offering, based on traditional flavors, is intuitive but not at all banal, and the dishes are a blend of well-balanced flavors. The menu is varied and includes meats such as lamb, ossobuco, wild boar, and even a few fish options. The truffle dishes are what makes the restaurant feel connected to its local area and contribute to its unique character. The quality/price ratio is truly excellent, considering the raw materials, the service, and the ambiance. The wine list is also good, with dedicated staff available to help you pair food and wine.
