04/05/2026: It wasn't the most delicious meal in Florence, but it still tasted good. Unfortunately, the service wasn't great. The restaurant was very loud, and unfortunately, my clothes smelled bad afterward.

27/04/2026: My partner and I ate here on a Saturday evening. It actually started off quite well; we were greeted and quickly got a table, even though the place was busy. After our order was taken, only my partner's wine arrived, followed by his food. He had ordered an appetizer and a pizza; both were brought at the same time, so the pizza got cold. We had to point out to the waiters that my drink was also missing. The young waiter apologized but then brought a Coke, even though I had ordered a Coke Zero… (But he was the only waiter who apologized for the delay/forgetting). After asking again, my food finally arrived, but the waitress practically threw it onto the table without a word (after an hour, and unfortunately, it didn't taste good either, completely swimming in oil). The owner came to all the tables (all local Italians) and asked if everything was alright, made small talk, and asked about dessert – at every table except ours. This gave the impression that tourists were not necessarily welcome as guests.

06/06/2026: This is my go-to restaurant every time I come to Florence! The food is amazing, and the staff are so lovely. It is just a few minutes walk from the duomo and the tower, and a lovely spot to sit in the evening. The gnocchi is the best I have ever eaten, so light and really flavoursome sauces - I have already come back twice this visit to Florence. Definitely recommend!

06/06/2026: We went to eat, guided by the view and we did NOT get it right, expensive price for the food you get. The pasta was very overcooked and I would like to point out that the carbonara that one of the people ordered (who is a big fan of carbonara) seemed to him to be the worst carbonara he has ever ordered. The service was correct, the place was beautiful. The bathroom was DISGUSTING. We do not recommend it

21/09/2025: On the recommendation of friends, we went to this osteria. The dish we had to try was the Chianti risotto. Our expectations were very high, and we can say they were fully met. It's an unexpected dish (in the realm of pici and lasagna), and we'd definitely recommend it. Be warned, cinnamon is one of the ingredients. We'll be back on our next visit to Cortona.

20/05/2026: EDIT: This was my favourite lunch place in Florence! Budget-friendly, with local, fresh, and tasteful food. However, the last time we were there, I tried to pay and their card machine was not working. They did not inform us about this beforehand and simply assumed we had cash. When we didn’t, they became very unfriendly and treated us like tourists trying to take advantage of the situation, as if we did not want to pay. They even wanted us to leave our passports as a collateral while we went to the ATM. Obviously, we were not comfortable giving away our passports in a foreign country. So we went to the ATM feeling very sad about the whole experience.

16/05/2026: Away from the tourists, and we love it! Run by several women, authentic Italian cuisine, fresh ingredients, reasonable prices, guaranteed pleasure and conviviality.

27/11/2025: The food is okay, but the guy at the cash register tries to scam people by giving less change than expected. Be careful.

23/11/2025: The name has basically changed. The spaces are still the same, spacious and well-lit, as the previous owner. The staff is young and friendly. With full dining rooms, there are some inaccuracies with orders, but they can definitely improve. I had a good time.

02/06/2026: Great food and service! Tried to Costra Bomba (spicy) and it was so good - if you are not used to spicy food then it will definitely be hot for you but not completely bad where you can’t taste anything afterwards. The Gnocchi was excellent and their dessert very delicious. Many options for wine and beer. Recommend making a reservation ( I called them and asked in English) since the seating is limited.

25/05/2026: Delicious food and great wine selection! The service was also very pleasant full of history and facts about the wine and the region. Definitely a worthy experience.

The famous and incredibly tender and flavorful Florentine steak, I've never seen anything like it, it melts in your mouth..., prepared and served by the dear @serginhoroncaratti and @reroncaratti. Steak of origin matured by @dariocecchinimacellaio Dario Cechini, the most famous butcher in the world! 🇧🇷🇮🇹❤️ An unparalleled gastronomic experience!! In fact, everything at Il Vescovino is too good, starting with the affection of the Roncarati family!! I 1000% recommend a visit, in the heart of Tuscany, in a 1000-year-old village, a wonderful place and excellent service by this Brazilian family that is a success in beautiful Tuscany!

29/05/2026: Quick pit stop on our bike ride down the coast nice chilled cafe. 2 Cokes and a water just over 5 euros can't beat that.

Il Cantiere isn't just a restaurant; it's also an art gallery. Throughout the year, works of art that blend seamlessly with the venue are exhibited and available for purchase.

31/05/2026: Very friendly staff. Typical Tuscan dishes revisited with a modern twist. Excellent pairings, even if they seem daring at first glance (reading the menu), excellent food. Excellent wine selection, also carefully selected outside of the traditional labels. A place to return to.

04/06/2026: Terrible experience! We'd previously enjoyed the food and atmosphere at the historic Trattoria Da Busse, but then, perhaps because the management changed, we'd made a reservation. Apparently, they'd worked too hard and earned too much on June 2nd. The next day, they scammed us without warning: we found everything closed. That's not the way to behave, dear restaurateurs!
