23/03/2025: Magnifica scoperta... Fuori dal centro e dal tour turistico questa locanda agricola scalda il cuore... oggetti delle "vecchie" cucine, dipinti, colori ma soprattutto ottimi piatti con i prodotti del loro orto.. Vista bellissima, cortesia e prezzi giusti per qualità e originalità! Complimenti ragazzi! Da provare se nei dintorni di Montalcino sicuramente ritorneremo!

25/12/2024: Wir kommen jedes Jahr nach Montalcino und dann natürlich ins Locanda Demetra. Wir sind totale Fans. Wir haben jedesmal einen wunderschönen Abend mit unglaublich gutem Essen. Hier leben 3 junge Menschen ihren Traum und das merkt man in allem: dem Essen, der Freude Gäste zu bewirteten und natürlich das Ambiente. Es gibt nur an 3 Tagen in der Woche abends ein Menü, das nur geringfügig änderbar ist. Man muss sich sozusagen überraschen lassen - und das macht unglaublich Spaß. Hinzu kommt, dass nur eine begrenzte Anzahl von Gästen pro Abend dort bewirtet werden. Eine Reservierung ist unbedingt zu empfehlen! Jeder Gang wird genau erklärt: Herkunft des Fleisches, das Gemüse und die Kräuter wachsen im eigenen Garten. Die Auswahl an Weinen von Winzern vor Ort ist sehr groß. Rundum ein MUST.

16/04/2025: Posto molto carino e servizio cortese. Prezzi troppo alti rispetto alla quantità e qualità del cibo. In un piatto abbiamo trovato un pezzettino di plastica nero e duro (o dente di polpo a detta del personale). Può capitare, ma ci aspettavamo un po di sconto alla cassa o quantomeno delle scuse.

26/03/2025: Really excellent dinner... guided by the chef in the choice, taking advantage of the local fish available. Dishes cooked with care, not banal.. we tasted a seafood salad, a tagliolini with monkfish and tortelli.. divine.. home cooking but which contains professionalism and great research into the raw material.. even the unique dessert.. Gianni, a truly hospitable heart.. well done

02/03/2025: A group of 16 people, between adults and teenagers, we arrived at this tavern by chance (we thought we were going to eat a sandwich). We loved it, excellent Lucca tordelli, wide choice of vegetarian dishes, fast and friendly service. Excellent 👌

28/02/2025: Suggested by a local friend as one of the last places to appreciate the true Tuscan cuisine of the past, it is located on the border between Florence and Siena. Very well-kept place, impeccable cuisine and service; targeted and well-stocked menu. As a welcome entree offered by the house, fried anchovies accompanied by sweet and sour red onions and pine nuts very tasty. For first courses we chose pici all'aglione and ribollita both of excellent workmanship, accompanied by two glasses of strictly local wine. For second course I opted for a plate of mixed Tuscan cold cuts. Classic desserts, I recommend the apple pie! Amaro at the end of the meal kindly offered by the owners. The portions are nice and generous!! Average cost for good cuisine.

17/02/2025: Questo posto è eccellente a dire poco: invitante da subito all'entrata con tavoli confortevoli e piacevolmente arredati. Il menu è spettacolare e la cantina da enoteca con un'infinita scelta di vini di tutte le regioni. La pasta e la carne che abbiamo assaggiato è stata una meraviglia. Personale accorto ed attento a tutte le nostre esigenze comprensivo del nostro amico a 4 zampe (animali ammessi con ciotolina per l'acqua). Che dire...ritorneremo sicuramente. Questo locale merita tutte le cinque stelle e i dieci punti della classifica.

25/02/2025: Abbiamo pranzato in questa trattoria domenica per la prima volta e deve dire che siamo stati veramente soddisfatti pranzo veramente eccellente e personale gentile ci torneremo sicuramente.

17/02/2025: On Sunday my sister and I decided to treat ourselves to lunch at the Bar Trattoria Marina. As soon as we entered, the stone room immediately won us over: welcoming, authentic, the kind of place that makes you feel at home even before you sit down. The service was fast and warm, but the real show came with the food. Here you feel that the kitchen is in the hands of those who know secrets and handed down recipes, like a silent guardian of the flavors of the past. It's not just about preparing dishes, but about telling a story through every bite. We tasted the tortelli with ragù, perfect in their simplicity, and the porchettato rabbit, a revelation: I had never tried such tasty and well-cooked meat before. To conclude, a ricotta and chocolate cake that still makes my mouth water just thinking about it. What made everything even more special was the kindness of the lady who welcomed us - I suppose Marina herself - who, in addition to serving us with a smile, also gave us valuable directions for the routes around the lake. This is not just a restaurant, it is a little gem of the place. The type of place that not only nourishes, but leaves you with the memory of an experience. We will definitely be back.

14/04/2025: They certainly don't need my review, but it's honestly one of the best places in Volterra and they make the best hamburger I've eaten so far in Italy. The owners are really nice, but also true professionals. They do everything themselves, from grinding the meat for the hamburgers to the real handmade French fries, to the sauces. They use excellent basic ingredients, the beef is mucco pisano and the pork is cinta senese, as well as local cheeses. The hamburgers can be chosen either ready-made on the menu, or customized with the (excellent) individual ingredients. Also available in a "broken down" version on the plate, to eat on the spot or take away. Honorable mention for the piadina al Chianti with spectacular porchetta! Excellent choice of Italian artisanal drinks and good desserts too. Very reasonable prices despite the high quality of the ingredients. What can I say? A must-see!

08/03/2025: We stayed in Abbadia S. S. and had dinner in this delightful restaurant to say the least. The hostess welcomed us excellently, delighting us with the presentation of their delicacies... A spectacular culinary experience, to say the least. Impeccable evening. An experience that I would certainly do again and would certainly recommend to anyone who wants to dine in this little place that is different from the usual place.

05/03/2025: Two slices of bread with salami make a review? For those who, like me, have known this business for years, I would say yes, because if you ask for something that they don't have available but the owner comes in and out 4 times to satisfy you, you certainly can't help but have an opinion that isn't positive. The staff are friends, like the owners, but if I had to thrash them I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to do so, unfortunately they always treat me very well, maybe I won't have lunch there, at least now, but certainly, now that I have found a certain mobility, I will often come back to test them with my absurd requests, after all they are always among friends.

13/04/2025: A Magical Lunch We’ll Never Forget Our lunch at Osteria Volpaia was nothing short of unforgettable. Sharing this experience with my wife in such a beautiful setting made it even more special. The food was outstanding — the risotto and the artichoke were simply out of this world, full of depth and character. What truly elevated the meal was the warmth and authenticity of the people behind it. The chef and the host are not just incredibly skilled — they’re amazing, genuine individuals who made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. This was one of those rare experiences that stays with you. I recommend this place 100%. If you’re near Volpaia, don’t even think twice — just go.

01/04/2025: All very good. Compliments to the waiter on duty, attentive and elegant. Prices a little high. "Too rushed" atmosphere as far as I'm concerned in such an environment. But is it a tavern????

10/03/2025: Accueil très sympathique malgré la langue. Les serveuses sont très accueillantes et mettent toute leur gentillesse pour se faire comprendre et comprendre les désirs des clients. Très bonne cuisine, très axée sur la ''mer'' pour les ''terriens'' c'est un peu plus difficile, mais ce qu'ils proposent est excellent. Belle découverte. Merci à tout le staff.

03/03/2025: Ci siamo stati due volte: a pranzo e a cena, più una volta per chiedere un parere e prenotare per la volta successiva. L'oste è sempre stato cortese, preparato e disponibile. L'ambiente è molto accogliente, piccolo ma curato, i piatti ben presentati con materie prime scelte bene e abbinate con cura. La cantina offre un'ampia scelta di vini locali e non solo, si vede che chi ci lavora lo fa con passione, divertimento e competenza.

22/02/2025: Excellence in all dimensions. Here we combine the art of receiving with the present time of perfection. Well done. However, a small remark on the exaggerated price of the oil, certainly organic but still €22 for 0.750l. But there you could be less mercantile.

02/02/2025: Splendid farmhouse located in a strategic position in one of the most fascinating areas of all of Tuscany: the Val d'Orcia, an enchantment for the eyes and the mind. Therefore very close to Pienza, Montalcino, Bagno Vignoni.. Montepulciano.... We were welcomed very kindly by Mrs. Antonella who pampered and spoiled us from every point of view, even giving us a room upgrade compared to the one we had chosen, with a hydromassage tub and emotional shower. Truly the best! Breakfast worthy of the best hotels with very soft homemade cakes, variety of homemade jams, croissants, various types of bread, natural yogurt, cereals. We stopped for dinner 3 out of 4 evenings and believe me that their cuisine is worth trying... amazing oil from their own production and a truly careful choice of raw materials. Excellently cooked meats and a menu linked to the territory. Considering that many places are closed out of season, knowing that you can dine comfortably on the farm is certainly an added value. A note of merit also in the welcome given to Marta, on the morning of departure and every day... in Vaniglia;-)
