21/07/2025: Four of us had dinner there a few nights ago! My partner is from Elba, and we try different restaurants every year. This is definitely one of the best restaurants on the island: the atmosphere is fantastic, the staff is kind, friendly, and informal at the same time. The food is excellent, well-cooked, and the ingredients are fresh! The restaurant is very refined and in an excellent location! I hope everything stays the same next year! We'll definitely be back!

12/07/2025: Il Strettoio definitely deserves five stars for its splendid terrace overlooking Florence. It deserves two stars, however, for the private road leading past the entrance gate, which is full of potholes, as is the parking lot, which is an obstacle course. But paving it isn't a good idea. It deserves three stars for the food, though—neither bad nor good. The peposo was so full of peppercorns that it was almost edible. Finally, it deserves three stars for the service, because asking to change the glass when you change the bottle of wine seems a bit superfluous. So, you come here for the terrace; the rest could definitely be improved.

02/06/2025: Wir schlenderten durch die Gassen Capoliveris um lecker Essen zu gehen. Als wir das Interieur des Vicolp d’Oro gesehen haben hat es uns so gut gefallen, dass wir gleich dort geblieben sind. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und bedient. Das Essen war sehr lecker und wir werden bestimmt wieder kommen. Eine absolute Empfehlung.

15/06/2025: Simple cuisine, huge dishes, honest prices, all enclosed in a picturesque little place that obviously remembers its name... The fish dishes are top, I challenge anyone to have an appetizer, first course and second course and not be stuffed to the ears...

It's difficult to explain in just a few lines the pleasure of returning to this typical, high-quality Sienese Osteria, located on Via dei Rossi, just 5 minutes from Piazza del Campo. A beautiful atmosphere, traditional Sienese dishes... and more; meticulously sourced ingredients, carefully prepared by Chef Marco. The delightful Caterina and her always friendly and helpful staff will welcome you.

26/06/2025: Very good lampredotto. I went to Aurelio during my lunch break, and I had the chance to eat the best lampredotto sandwich I have ever tasted. Totally superior to other places I have eaten in the city. The kiosk is located in a small square, with some outside tables on which there are napkins. Very fast service even though it was lunch time and the kiosk was full. If I have to make a point, I would improve the order management: 4 of us ate 10 minutes apart, even though 3 of us had ordered the same sandwich. Very reasonable price: I paid 5.50 for a sandwich and a sparkling water. I recommend newbies to try the complete lampredotto, which they call “Paradiso”, with green sauce and spicy oil!

11/06/2025: Let's start with the "responsible" cashier or I don't know what he wants to do, the nice guy but he's not nice... hygiene and compliance with regulations are zero, no one with a hat, gloves let's not talk about it, clothes let's forget about it because already at 11 they look like they came out of a pot of oil... the great Aurelio was a whole other story, I don't recommend him, dirty and if you pay in cash the receipt is optional.

09/07/2025: We stayed for a weekend. The place is charming and equipped with all the amenities. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

08/07/2025: We spent the weekend there for a hen party. Everything was perfect, from the breakfast to the restaurant, the pool, and the riding stables! The apartments were clean and welcoming! We'll definitely be back.

14/06/2025: An authentic Florentine experience: not to be missed! We went to Osteria dell’Oca and we left enthusiastically! The appetizer started with a bang: off-menu zucchini flowers, fried to perfection with a light and crunchy batter, simply delicious. Next, the pici cacio e pepe: creamy, tasty, perfectly cooked. For the second course we couldn’t help but try the tagliata: very tender, cooked to perfection, with a strong but balanced flavor. The real star, however, was the prisoner’s dish — lampredotto, boiled tripe and tongue — a truly mystical experience for the palate. Authentic and intense flavors, a dive into the most genuine Florentine tradition. All accompanied by two excellent glasses of Chianti that enhanced each course. A special applause goes to the manager: a true host from another era, welcoming, warm, who makes you feel at home from the first moment. Really exceptional quality/price ratio. A place where you eat well, feel good and come back willingly.

03/07/2025: We thought we would eat a nice ice cream. We ask what the price of that pot is, they say 2 euros. In the meantime we paid 40 euros for 3 pots of ice cream and a melted soft ice cream! The flavors were not even right. We ask for vanilla ice cream and got milk ice cream?!! Ice cream with nuts instead of oreo? What if someone was allergic to nuts?!!! 40 euros for ice cream is not normal and then also the wrong flavors? I call this pure fraud! There is somewhere much better and less expensive.

19/07/2025: A lovely little place overlooking the harbor. The dishes are few, but well-prepared and carefully prepared, with some Ferrarese influences. The service is informal and friendly. The price is all in all reasonable for a dinner. We had a great time.

19/07/2025: My husband and I went to dinner at La Cantina, drawn by the numerous positive reviews. We started with two appetizers, both good. Then for my main course, I ordered the catch of the day, John Dory baked in foil, which the owner had raved about. The price, however, hadn't been quoted to me, nor was it listed anywhere. That alone isn't good enough. When my plate arrived, I was immediately perplexed by its size—it was truly tiny. It was a ridiculous portion that no one should have had the courage to offer as a main course. My husband's tuna portion was also truly meager. It should be noted that the restaurant isn't billed as a gourmet restaurant, where very small portions are typically expected. When it came time to pay, the worst—I mentioned this to the owner, who immediately acknowledged the excessively small size of my plate, saying that a discount had already been arranged. (The discount was on a price that hadn't been quoted to me at the beginning, however...) Unfortunately, at that point he called in the co-owner, who was extremely rude and even started making fun of us. First, he justifies the meager size of my portion by saying that the supplier had supplied them with particularly small fish that day. (So maybe it would have been better to either not buy it or offer it as an appetizer, at most??). Then he LAUGHS at the fact that I might have gotten the smallest slice, followed by "Well, you didn't eat that alone, did you?" and the grand finale, "Come on, I left you wanting more!!!"—which speaks for itself. It was truly terrible, bullying behavior. The two stars go to the appetizers and the table service. Needless to say, we wouldn't recommend this restaurant.
