Here I found the best pizzas, torta della nonna, torta primavera, and schiacciata (hot, fresh from the oven) I've ever eaten. I was here for work and now I'm going back to Milan, but I promised I'd return. Treat yourself: as soon as you get off the train, stop by this historic bakery and savor the authentic Florence. ⚜️❤️

09/10/2025: I went to dinner at Matamà even though I'm not a meat lover, but I left very satisfied. They don't have any stars here, but you'll finish what they put on your plate with great satisfaction. Delicious and refined food, impeccable, fast, and efficient service, the place is a jewel of a place, meticulously maintained and very clean. It was a pleasure testing you, and we'll be back soon to try other dishes. I almost forgot, all the meat dishes I tried were perfect and made me realize that I love meat, as long as it's cooked properly, and at Matamà they know this well. See you soon, Brigata Matamà.

05/10/2025: We returned after a few years to celebrate a birthday, and the quality is still the same, if not even a step up. It can be considered a meat restaurant, and you can even find game. The cooking, the sauces, and what can I say about the crostini!!! I'm still salivating ❤️ We each tried a different dish to share, and it was all delicious. The wine selection was also excellent, thanks to the sommelier's recommendation. The staff was very qualified and courteous, and many compliments to the chef. The premises are clean, and even the bathroom is spacious and clean, accessible to disabled guests. Dogs are welcome 🥰 We'll be back again. Highly recommended 👍👍👏

07/10/2025: An excellent holiday spent in this wonderful hotel. Enchanting place, easily accessible, strategic location. Room with a whirlpool tub and a spectacular view. Breakfast was plentiful and catered for all needs, and for this I wanted to thank Mrs. Eugenia for her exquisite and attentive service. Good spa treatment. Top-quality food in the restaurant. The only flaw I'd like to point out is that the management should pay more attention to the cleanliness and layout of the rooms. Everything else was EXCELLENT. We'll be back very soon.

07/10/2025: I’ve eaten at many restaurants, but this experience was truly unique. The chef — and I mean the chef — did absolutely everything. He took our order, cooked the meal, served it with a smile, and even checked in to make sure everything was perfect. Watching one person handle an entire restaurant with such grace and passion was inspiring. You could tell he put his heart into every detail, from the seasoning of the food to the way the plate was presented. The food itself? Absolutely delicious — full of flavor and clearly made with love. The service was personal and genuine, because, well… it was personal! We had Gamberetti Sale e Pepe, Ravioli Caprese, Spaghetti Vongole, Spaghetti Puttanesca, Swordfish and Tiramisu. It might take a bit longer than usual since it’s a one-man operation, but honestly, that’s part of the charm. You’re not just eating out — you’re witnessing dedication in action. Highly recommend for anyone who appreciates craftsmanship, authenticity, and a touch of human magic in their dining experience.

Fantastic advice, we ate fabulously at a very fair price and above all, since my partner and I are lovers of Piedmontese wines, we were fascinated by their wine list!!! 26/09/2025: Gianpiero is a real character. He makes you feel like family, welcoming us with a big smile and a handshake. The food is top-notch, served promptly. For us in our fifties, 80s music was perfect for a perfect evening. Highly recommended.
