22/08/2025: Well, this is my third time at Piero's, so I think I can give you an informed opinion. The atmosphere is extremely welcoming, both inside and outside, in a covered gazebo. Air conditioning inside ensures good comfort, while the outside shade is provided by a cover and side screens. The furnishings are minimal but decidedly well-designed for the quality of the place. Let's get to the dishes: 1) spaghetti allo scoglio (spaghetti with seafood), it's been ages since I've had such delicious seafood spaghetti, so much so that I'd even eaten the same dish at Michelin-starred restaurants in the Viareggio area. 2) spaghetti with smoked salmon and zucchini, a delight, with top-quality salmon and slightly crunchy zucchini, a true explosion of flavor. 3) lampredotto with salsa verde (lampredotto with green sauce), literally devoured. For those who don't mind this type of meat, this is a must-try dish, with an exceptionally balanced green sauce and the overall flavor of a gourmet dish. 4) the puff pastry with cream, I can't tell you what else, you'll find it better in one pastry shop out of twenty! 5) the coffee, aka the sore point of many restaurants... well... here you can ALSO enjoy a coffee as the gods command!!!! And what about the bill? Prices are decidedly very, very reasonable. The staff is friendly, cheerful, and helpful. I love this place and will definitely visit again as soon as I can. Finally, don't miss a visit to Antica Trattoria da Piero.

17/08/2025: Angelo and his family are the soul of the place, and in every dish you can taste the history, hard work, and love behind every little element of their extensive menu. The price is fair for the quality of the products, but a bit expensive for the area. Parking is impossible, but even getting there requires a good knowledge of the area. The entrance is definitely not accessible to the disabled.

16/08/2025: Must try! Authentic and delicious cuisine. The tasting menu is truly tasty and comprehensive, and there are trays available for guests to make their own doggy bags. I was really impressed that they catered to allergies/intolerances, providing a valid alternative for each of the many courses!

From the first moment, I felt truly welcome—the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and you can immediately sense the passion behind everything. The risotto was simply delicious. Unfortunately, it turned out that the first positive experience needs to be cherished, because the second visit wasn't as good as the first.

12/08/2025: After some time, we returned with friends to this magnificent restaurant, a true institution since 1961, and dined on the beautiful outdoor terrace decorated with charming table lamps. As soon as we were seated, we were treated to an excellent fresh/cold tomato soup (a sort of gazpacho) with "fusilli" (a kind of potato soup) served as chips. Then we ordered: 5 appetizers (€80): Black fagotelli stuffed with shrimp and scallops and baked cherry tomato soup (€16); 2 portions of Fassone in three ways, marinated round steak, tartare, and traditional veal with tuna sauce (€16), one of the cult appetizers; 2 portions of crispy courgette flowers stuffed with creamed cod on a pea cream (€16), a truly delicious dish. 5 Second Courses (€104): 2 portions of cod with creamed zucchini, aromatic sun-dried tomato bread (€22), an excellent second course; 2 portions of rabbit roll stuffed with herbs, cherry reduction, and crispy asparagus (€20), a tender and flavorful second course; and the traditional carpione (€20), Milanese, char, egg, and vegetables... needless to say, delicious! 5 Desserts (€40): 2 portions of Giandughiotto with hazelnut ice cream (€8), a delight; Excellent trio of sorbets (€8). Peach, mango, and green apple; the house ice cream with fior di latte and apricot soup (a must-try!); and the crunchy meringue, raspberry, and Riviera lemon cream basket. The dinner was accompanied by excellent bread (baked by them) and breadsticks, three bottles of water and a highly regarded Piedmontese sparkling wine, Fontanafredda Alta Langa DOCG Limited Edition, two excellent Japanese whiskies, and a coffee for a total of €285 (about €57/person, a decidedly reasonable price for an excellent dinner in an elegant and relaxing setting with excellent ingredients). I'd also like to add the attentive, efficient, kind, and cheerful service in a "relaxing restaurant" (as I like to call them!)... or rather, more than a restaurant... a local gem! Highly recommended!

The quality is always exceptional, and the prices are very low compared to the quality of the food! Every time we order something different, and we haven't found anything that isn't tasty and good yet! A second home... Thank you ❤️

29/07/2025: Fantastic place where you can eat excellently. The atmosphere is truly lovely, and you can try delicacies from all kinds of different cultures. I was there yesterday, and they made a baked pasta alla Picchiapo that was tempting just to look at. If you're looking for a different restaurant where you can eat outdoors, this is the place. The staff is always super friendly. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

25/07/2025: I went today for the first time, and the atmosphere is super nice. There's no table service, but that's expected in a place like this. Very good food and excellent prices. We had two large beers, one small beer, one bottle of water, one large plate of fregola with octopus, and a plate of paatas arugada, and we paid 30 euros.
