21/04/2025: Based on the previous reviews, I have to wonder if I simply went on a bad day for the cooking staff. We ordered pici gambero rosso e pistacchio di Bronte and a polpo dish. The first was made with too much oil. Unfortunately, it also suffered the ultimate sin due to the pasta being bland aka not cooked in ocean-salty water and somehow, all of the salt was absent from the shrimp as well. Other than that, the pistacchio was quite nice. The polpo was even worse: hard as nails and saltless. How a chef could manage to completely remove the salt from saltwater creatures is beyond my realm of understanding. However, if their wizardry renders them capable of doing that, the least they could do is put that salt elsewhere in the dish while not overcooking the poor octopus. Sadly, the cook was beyond well done and went into the category of congratulations. How tragic.

17/04/2025: This isn't your cookie cutter Italian eatery. There is a chef here, who has something interesting to express, and a fine dining atmosphere without being over pretentious. Highly recommended.

12/03/2025: The staff is very friendly and nice, and considering that there isn't a wide choice in the surrounding area it's fine. But the important thing in a pizza bar is the food, and I wasn't crazy about that. The pizzas are served cold and are on display, outdoors, on the counter (except for the glass in front). I don't find it very hygienic.

02/04/2025: We enjoyed an excellent lunch while passing through. Family atmosphere, tasty dishes and generous portions. Excellent carbonara. Correct prices. Super recommended!

30/03/2025: Piatti gustosi, porzioni soddisfacenti, locale carino, personale gentile, prezzo corretto. Si puo’ dire che tutto funziona benissimo. Da riprovare se torneremo a Monte Compatri e sicuramente da consigliare!

23/03/2025: Seconda esperienza involontaria (non ricordavo). Prezzo elevato per un servizio non all'altezza (pressante e indisponente), posti appiccicati, forte odore che rimane addosso ai vestiti, piatto crostacei (zuppetta) niente di che come la frittura. Vino della casa bianco pessimo.

23/03/2025: Una certezza che secondo me conoscono ancora in pochi, soprattutto nelle zone limitrofe Ci hanno sempre mangiato i miei e continuiamo ad andarci tutti volentieri e a consigliarlo agli amici Scelta della materia prima molto accurata e in particolare la lavorazione della carne è molto consapevole, viene valorizzata al massimo Consiglio in particolare la cottura su pietra, particolarissima da trovare

I've been going to eat there for years, I've always found everything perfect, I've brought lots of friends, and I've never made a bad impression. For me they are a guarantee ❤️ The price is related to the quality of the food. If you want to taste appetizers, first courses, with exceptional second courses and side dishes It's the right place!

25/03/2025: In a side street of Piazza Bodoni there is this charming tavern that offers dishes of the Piedmontese tradition and seasonal dishes: I tasted some delicious green tagliatelle with artichokes and an excellent Piedmontese mixed starter (perhaps the salmon on crostini, to be seen again), the hazelnut cake was interesting and everything was "washed down" by an excellent Nebbiolo.
