It's not the first time I've had lunch/dinner in this place: (August/Easter Monday/New Year's Eve/themed menus such as bagna cauda, polenta, boiled meat, etc.). What can I say, everything is always very good and cared for; extremely kind staff. I advise.

Simple place. A bar-newsstand from which a restaurant room with 5/6 tables has been created, adding a mezzanine to the space. From the photos on the site I expected something more.
Good food and friendly staff.
The price is a sore point. Spent 76 euros for two to eat: round of appetizers, second course with side dish and half a dessert (water, 1/4 wine and coffee).
I don't think we will return to these figures.

I'm sorry you were offended. Mine was a constructive criticism and in any case a personal opinion.
Since you asked me the specific question, I'm happy to answer it. In my opinion, the most expensive courses are the second course with side dish and the starters.
Spending 33 euros for two seconds with side dishes seems excessive to me. Spend 24 euros for two rounds of 5 small starter portions even more.
In any case, if you find customers who are willing to leave home to come to Mezzenile and spend these sums, don't worry about my review, it remains a personal opinion.

Sono stata in questo locale per un pranzo con amici in occasione del “di’ della polenta”. Cibo di qualità , ma con porzioni da ristorante stellato più che da locale di paese: un cucchiaio di polenta per ogni tipo, 4 pezzetti di cervo ben cotti, … la torta di farina di mais con le mele non mi ha invece entusiasmato . Rapporto qualità prezzo secondo me un po’ da rivedere per l’evento a cui ho partecipato.

I went for lunch with friends on a Sunday. It was a Bagna Cauda based lunch. It was done very well, the right garlic and oil. The variety of vegetables was classic but with some unusual variations, such as chicory and mushrooms.
Afterwards we were served tortellini in broth, good but not unforgettable (I'm half from Ferrara and therefore very demanding in this regard).
The wine recommended by the owner was very good and much appreciated by the table.
Finally, a good dessert even if average, the liqueurs they produce are excellent.

Beautiful place, everything delicious starting from the appetizers and ending with the dessert all made with passion and love, what about the cavatelli a delicacy and the roast we can't even talk about it is truly exceptional not to mention the kindness and courtesy of the owner Fabrizio super recommended, applause also goes to Claudia the chef and Fabrizio's wife.

Wonderful place! Homely atmosphere, the owner simply does everything possible to make you feel like his friend😁 Undoubtedly delicious food and good wine😋 And don’t forget to ask to try his signature persimmon tincture. I recommend, 6 stars out of five!

Luogo accogliente e caratteristico.
Proprietario molto disponibile e gentile.
Piatti abbondanti e molto buoni, con mia moglie abbiamo mangiato delle ottime orecchiette con le cime di rapa ( e aggiunta extra di piccante molto gradito) e uno spezzatino di manzo che si scioglieva in bocca.
Prezzo modico per un pranzetto eccellente.

Quando siamo in zona " Il vecchio borgo " è diventato tappa fissa.
Ottima cucina casalinga piemontese. Si sente che Claudia, la cuoca, ci mette amore e cura dall'antipasto al dolce ,tutto molto buono.
Ambiente accogliente , personale attento, ed infine il proprietario , cordiale ed affabile, rende il tutto una piacevole tappa culinaria .

Tutto ottimo, dall'accoglienza all'ambiente, alla cortesia e alla qualità dei cibi. Carta dei vini corta (per me un plus) eppure ben variata, con curiosità sfiziose. Prezzi concorrenziali.
