05/04/2026: We had a lunch/aperitif here by chance. This deli offers local products and simple, traditional cuisine. We shared a cheese and cured meat platter with a bottle of wine among seven of us. The products were top-quality and the staff were very friendly. I recommend this place for a quick lunch because they also offer sandwiches/focaccias and crostoni. We'll be back!

03/04/2026: The food was typical Tuscan, and it was my first time trying goat cheese; it was very flavorful and a great experience. The owner was incredibly friendly and even gave me a postcard with a picture of the shop.

14/03/2026: We stopped for pizza here given its proximity to the Mandela Forum, especially after seeing the positive reviews. We were warmly welcomed and ordered two pizzas and a covaccino with Nutella to follow. The dough was very good and easy to digest. The prices are fair, and the staff is friendly and helpful. We'll definitely revisit it if we're in the area in the future!

14/03/2026: €3+ for adding buffalo mozzarella to a pizza is a bit high, but the staff was friendly and the food was good, even though the pizza had a lot of oil.

02/04/2026: I've been walking that street forever, and yesterday I stopped, intrigued by the excellent reviews I'd heard about the products in the shop. I was looking for an Easter egg, which I found, artisanal Mencarelli from Castelplanio (AN), maritozzi with raisins, and extraordinary bread. It was my first time in that shop, and given my first experience, I'll gladly return often.

21/02/2026: Not everyone knows how to serve the public, and even less so is offering a classy and authentic experience at fair prices. You can find all of this at this place. I stopped by from Livorno for an aperitivo with my new dog. I was greeted by a courteous and attentive young man. I wanted a nice glass of local wine and something to eat with the aperitivo. The platter exceeded my expectations, as did the wine. I've rarely been 100% satisfied with every aspect of a place. The staff is professional but never cold—quite the opposite. The food is high-quality and homemade. I'll make the most of my stay to visit them often and be pampered. Go, you won't regret it!

06/04/2026: The restaurant "Le due lanterne" is situated in the heart of Nizza Monferrato (at Piazza Giuseppe Garibaldi, were you can easily park your car). Since 2025 it has two new owners, a young and very committed couple with Andrea Cavallo as chef in the citchen and Valentina Torello as manager of service. We were there for the first time for lunch. Andreas and Valentina renovated the guestrooms totally new and they did a great job. They are very chic, warm, modern and lightful. You feel yourself there as a guest from the first moment very well and welcome. For sure Valentina and her service team are beside the ambience the main reason for feeling so well - they do all together a great job. They are very kind, professional and overlooking. It feels very good to be their guests. Andrea and his team in the kitchen cook simply fantastic. One of us had the Tasting Menue of four courses which was simply amazing. As starter we had a Tartare made of the meat of the local Fassone veal from Piemont, it was hand chopped, extremly fresh, perfectly seasoned and combined with Parmesan. Wow. Also the Pasta (Tajarin 40 Tuorli) with Ragu as Primo and the perfectly smooth braised veal as Secondo were outstanding. Very delicous was also the Green Asparagus with a perfectly soft-boiled egg and an amazing sauce - a special and wonderful vegetarian main dish. For dessert we had the famous local Bonet Monferrino, a fresh homemade Chocolate-Amaretto custard. Additional the restaurant offers many very good wines from the Piemont, everyone will find his or her special wine. All together "Le due lanterne" offers fantastic local food and wine from Piemont in a real excellent quality with a very warm and overlooking service. It's the perfect place for special culinary Italian moments. The prices are very fair for the offered highly quality. The recommandation of the Guide Michelin is in our opinion absolutely correct. We are looking very much forward to our next visit there. Grazie mille Andrea and Valentina - alla prossima!!

15/03/2026: I can only comment on the food, as we only had pizza. The service was very helpful and friendly, and the prices were quite reasonable. Parking is limited and hard to find; it's best to walk. As for the pizza itself – simply fantastic – everything was delicious and fresh.

15/03/2026: Going out to eat with a group of 36 people is quite something. For the staff here, it was no problem. Fantastic food, cheerful staff, and lots of fun.

08/04/2026: I came back here again to enjoy the great food and atmosphere. We came at lunch time, where we waited a little longer for our food, but we must say that we all enjoyed ourselves. The fresh fish was amazing.....the homemade pasta tasted like grandma's and everything was just great. I will definitely come back here again when I pass by.

15/03/2026: We met the guys from Maltagliati at a dinner and, intrigued, came to try their restaurant. You arrive in Torano, a small hilltop village, and the restaurant is in the center: welcoming and well-kept, with an open kitchen with a grill where they prepare almost the entire menu. If you have the chance to see them at work in the dining room in front of the grill, they are serious and professional, but above all, well-prepared. Cuisine like this comes from study and dedication: we ordered the tasting menu and it's hard to find a better dish... the crescia, the spit-roasted heart, the sweetbreads, the quail and lamb, and many other dishes. The staff in the dining room are attentive and loving. We had a great time and can't wait to come back because having the courage to cook like this is uncommon. Excellent!

13/03/2026: It's been a while since I've dined at a place where atmosphere, food, and service blended so well. To be honest, I ordered the entire menu, but it was worth it. My only recommendation is to sit down and let the staff, who are extremely professional, guide you. Nothing is left to chance, from the aromas present in every dish to the decor. Well done, keep up the good work!
