We ate an excellent pizza, cooked to perfection and with excellent ingredients, in the heart of Assisi, highly recommended.

I came back here again to enjoy the great food and atmosphere. We came at lunch time, where we waited a little longer for our food, but we must say that we all enjoyed ourselves. The fresh fish was amazing.....the homemade pasta tasted like grandma's and everything was just great. I will definitely come back here again when I pass by.

Even though there was a bit of a wait at first, I couldn't have asked for a better Easter lunch. The waiters were kind and patient, the place was pleasant and sunny (perfect for photos, if anyone's interested), and the food was nothing short of perfect: a delicious, sweet Margherita pizza and a fantastic pasta dish. A nearly perfect experience, highly recommended, although I recommend booking in advance.

Nice restaurant near the Church of Santa Chiara, tasty, traditional dishes at reasonable prices. Very friendly staff and attentive service. Recommended!

We found this restaurant for lunch during a day in Assisi. Very close to the Temple of Minerva (an excellent location), we luckily found a table without a reservation (though I recommend it during peak hours to avoid disappointment). Truly excellent food, with a wide selection of appetizers, first courses, and second courses (both meat and seafood), as well as a varied selection of pizzas. I personally recommend the Tozzetti di San Francesco, spectacular! The service was attentive and precise, although the wait was perhaps a bit long. It's still a lovely find in the heart of the city. One last positive note: the menu clearly lists allergens, which is not a given.

This is the best place to eat in Assisi. They prepare the dishes quickly and the quality of the food is great! Delicious! Good choice between all kinds of food: meat, pasta, sea food or pizza. Try it and you will not regret.

10/04/2026: The garden is beautiful, well-kept with plants and colorful, uniquely crafted lava stone tables. The brickwork throughout makes the atmosphere even more welcoming. The interior is also fantastic, with a charming and characterful dining room. The staff is truly helpful, and the food is delicious: it's definitely not a touristy place, despite the very reasonable prices. And it's worth noting: it's just 50 steps from the Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi.
10/04/2026: I couldn't believe it: so close to the Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi, just 50 meters away, there's such a beautiful structure. Evocative interiors with carved rock, a magnificent garden outside, and truly beautiful lava stone tables. Luckily, I took the advice: I came and had a truly wonderful meal.

28/02/2026: I have been to Ristorante Stella a number of times over the last 4 years. The food is always excellent, the service is fantastic and the price is very reasonable. Last night I had the carcoifi fritti, ossobucco, panna cotta and a wonderful Raina white wine. I could not have asked for a better dinner. For the first time I also stayed in one of their rooms, which was above the restaurant. The bed was possibly one of the most comfortable I have ever experienced in a hotel. The room was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and with a fun/interesting design. I highly recommend both their rooms and the restaurant!
