The appetizers were simply fantastic: rich, carefully prepared, and full of authentic flavors. And the first courses... even if you think you're not hungry anymore, they are so special you absolutely can't resist trying them! The second courses are exceptional: from the fillet to the tagliata to the lamb, everything cooked to perfection and truly delicious. Thank you so much for this unique and exceptional experience. 22/04/2026: Lunch with a friend eager to try Brianza cuisine. After reservations, we opted for the à la carte menu. Two appetizers (taroz, green beans, casera potatoes, and bresaola with parmesan shavings), two first courses (risotto with sausage and fine herbs in a parmesan wafer), all washed down with two glasses of Montepulciano red wine and sparkling water, two coffees with a free sample of cake, and a free sample of gazpacho before the appetizer. It wasn't Brianza-style, but it was perfect for cleansing and refreshing the palate, preparing it for the food. Excellent cuisine, very balanced, the flavors are exquisite and bold, but never heavy; in fact, the kitchen's touch is decidedly light, allowing the dishes to be enhanced without weighing down the diner. The lady and the young woman in the dining room were very prompt and attentive, smiling, and helpful. Service was quick despite the restaurant being full for lunch. 03/11/2025: Had a nice evening. Weather was good and I really enjoyed the pasta I ordered. The food is costly but since it tasted good - I didn’t mind the pricing. I would have given half a point extra - but the turn off was the desperation of the staff to try and get you to get the expensive product. As a restauranteur myself - I always tell my team to avoid this. Never try and sell an expensive dish. See what the customer wants and what they will enjoy the most. An upscale space like this should serve bread with they pasta so we can lap the sauce but no. The guy constantly was trying to sell the most expensive wine or bread - so if they didn’t do that - would have been more genuine. Otherwise food was very good.
02/11/2025: Delicious food and excellent service! We booked a table in advance since this place is very popular, and we felt well taken care of throughout the whole evening. I ordered the lobster pasta and it was amazing, though I wish there had been a bit more lobster considering the price. Overall, a great experience!

07/06/2026: This restaurant is the kind of place that focuses on substance. Unlike many other places around the lake that focus only on image, this restaurant is clear that you're there to eat, not to be seen. And you can tell when they bring you well-prepared, flavorful dishes—even the banal meatballs in tomato sauce—prove that they're not so banal, that they've perfected this dish. Every bite is a pleasure. I think you could improve on the service a little, but considering the circumstances, I'd recommend this place for a tasty lunch. P.S. Finally, someone who knows how to make dessert, specifically a beautifully whipped cheesecake with real berries, unlike other places that put cocktail toppings on tasteless bases. Kudos to you.

25/05/2026: We discovered Caffè La Crepa thanks to a Smartbox and were so happy with our choice! The place is truly charming, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the food is excellent. A special mention goes to their flexibility: despite the typical "limitations" of gift packages, they were fantastic at finding valid alternatives to accommodate our food intolerances. Highly recommended!
24/05/2026: The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The restaurant perfectly reflects the atmosphere of the village: simple, authentic, and frozen in time. The food is truly excellent, reflecting the local culture, accompanied by a wide selection of wines and spirits. There's also a small cellar with an excellent selection of wines, which the owner kindly showed us. The owner's passion for his work and the wines he offers is clearly evident. Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back.

13/10/2025: First dinner in Venice for me and two friends. We couldn't have started our vacation better. The girl at the tables (perhaps the owner) gave us suggestions for the menu and gave us excellent advice. We had seafood lasagna, white polenta with cuttlefish and squid ink, and spaghetti with shrimp and eggplant. Everything was truly excellent! The portions were definitely satisfying. Unfortunately, we only stayed in the area the first night, so we weren't able to come for dinner another night. But I will return to Venice and try more. Even the cicchetti.

09/02/2026: It was a nice winter dinner at the end of the year in Modesto 😌 The pizza was delicious. One can choose the "tipo di farina" that is the type of flour for the pizza dough (only 2€ extra). The atmosphere was cozy and warm. We enjoyed the desserts too (torta della nonna, crema catalana). The decoration with ship models is charming. Overall, it was a wonderful experience in Modesto. I strongly recommend this pizzeria. 🙃

22/05/2026: This year we visited the Adige Valley for the third time, and it looks like we'll be returning tomorrow, our last day of vacation. This isn't due to convenience, as we're staying practically next door at the equally recommendable Gruberhof, but simply because the food in the Adige Valley is incredibly delicious, and the hospitality is unbelievable. It starts with the complimentary amuse-bouche every time, a thoughtful touch that's become so rare in many restaurants these days. The menu itself isn't extensive, but the quality is exceptional. You can taste that someone who truly understands their craft (the hostess's son) is at the helm, and they're passionate about it. At the same time, Helga, the hostess, is such a lovely and warm hostess that you almost feel like part of the family. And you'll get to know them all anyway: the friendly daughter, who also serves quickly and attentively, and the incredibly funny grandma, who at 92 years old sits sprightly in front of her liter of beer and simply fits right in with the charming atmosphere of a traditional inn. Although located directly on the road, you hardly notice the traffic noise, even in the beer garden, unless some young man with a small penis feels the need to demonstrate the power of his souped-up Audi with a loud exhaust at the car wash across the street. Otherwise, it's fine, and it's quiet inside anyway. The price-performance ratio is really quite good, especially considering the quality of the food. My beloved paccheri pasta with veal ragout and truffles cost €16.90 (as of 2026), which is more than fair. Even South Tyrol manages to offer worse food for more money, for example at the Römerkeller in Merano (I can only advise against this dive), whereas in the Adige Valley you're always in good hands. And for any recovering alcoholics who want to relapse: there's always a free schnapps at the end... All the best and thank you for your hospitality, dear Helga and the entire team at the Adige Valley. Should we ever cross the Alps again like Hannibal (only in the opposite direction) and land in the sunny Adige Valley, we'll gladly stay with you again. Julia & Thomas from faraway Stendal

28/04/2026: Everything was wonderful, from the service to the ambiance, and the dishes were sweet but not nauseating. We had a great time; it's especially suitable for small groups who want to enjoy a bit of peace during brunch!
15/04/2026: I entered this brunch spot with legitimate expectations, quickly dashed by service that would be an understatement to call sloppy. Upon arrival, I was asked to stand for ten to fifteen minutes before being shown to my table, despite the restaurant being visibly half-empty: a wait that was neither justified nor courteous. Once seated, a second wait ensued: another fifteen minutes just to receive the menu, as if the act of consulting it itself were a privilege to be earned. From then on, the ordering and the dishes arrived in relatively normal times, but by then we were beyond irritated and impatient. The food, unfortunately, offers no redemption. Unremarkable dishes, lacking personality and memory, portions that were small to the point of being symbolic, and prices that were frankly exorbitant for what was on offer. It's a place that invests heavily in aesthetics—decor designed to catch the eye and enhance the scene—but neglects what should be central: the quality of the cuisine and customer service. I won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend it to others either. Edit to the review after the restaurant's response: I'd like to clarify one point, as the response I received distorts what I wrote. The approximately thirty minutes cited were not part of a "slow and mindful" dining experience, but were spent solely on being seated and receiving the menu, in a place that was anything but crowded. Claiming these times as consistent with a "philosophy" seems inappropriate, to say the least: slowness, if chosen, is a value; if endured, it's simply inefficiency. I expect to be served in a respectable amount of time, after which I—not the restaurant—am free to decide whether to take a break, converse, or extend my stay. What made the wait even more unpleasant was the fact that, during that entire wait, no one bothered to ask if we'd like anything to drink, even just a glass of water. This isn't "taking your time," but a lack of customer service. I therefore reiterate my assessment: not a criticism of the calm, but of a service that attempts to gloss over its own shortcomings with a narrative that doesn't reflect the actual experience. Further update: I see the response has been edited, shifting the focus to my "tastes" based on other reviews. This is a minor observation: my assessment concerns specific events that occurred at your establishment, which I've described in detail. Blanking unjustified wait times and lack of customer service down to personal taste is a rather convenient way to avoid addressing the critical issues highlighted.
