14/09/2025: Remember those trattorias of the past? The ones where it feels like your grandmother is cooking, where everything is delicious and abundant? Well, that's the description of Trattoria Dario e Giuseppina in Rocca di Cave. We spent two days on vacation nearby and were recommended this trattoria with its authentic, unpretentious flavors. We were so satisfied that, despite our short stay, we returned a second time. Everything was extremely authentic and delicious. We sampled the various homemade first courses, served with mutton sauce, ragù, and porcini mushrooms; for the second courses, we enjoyed lamb in every sauce, always super tender, mutton, arrosticini, livers, and offal; and a side of chicory and potatoes, also superb! Of course, as only the olden days could offer, they also offered homemade liqueurs and desserts. An extremely positive note was also the quality and speed of the service, with the very kind and professional staff. Super Pietro, one of the owners, welcomed us like we were at home! Highly recommended!

08/09/2025: I'm truly very disappointed. I had high expectations given the advertising. The appetizer was poor, with only cured meats. The first course was dry and tasteless. The second course was a lamb dish made of bones. It was also very risky. With every bite, I had to stop while chewing to remove small fragments of bone from my mouth. I was truly very disappointed.

03/08/2025: Spectacular job from everyone in the restaurant. Friendly and smooth service, creative dishes and flavours really to the point! Expect to try really fresh food, nice combinations of flavours and textures, really nicely presented. It was the best dinner experience in Sardinia, and everything felt fresh and healthy. We tried four different dishes and two desserts and everything was really memorable! High class cuisine! I don't think you can go wrong with any choice, because everything we tried was really worth it and I would order it again. Thank you everyone and keep up the amazing job you are doing!

31/07/2025: I think overrated, it is a pity there is no tasting menu anymore as it would be more reasonable considering price and portion correlation. Price/performance is pretty low to me. The menu is also chaotic i.e. Not clear to understand starter or main course. Waitresses should be more attentive to explain and guide through the plates.

31/08/2025: Thank you for the warm, spontaneous welcome. It was very nice that our antipasti dish was shared; we really enjoyed it (zucchini blossom flan), and we were otherwise extremely satisfied. Very friendly service!

02/09/2025: We'd tried to go there for Valentine's Day but were unsuccessful, but this restaurant we saw while running along the Ticino River intrigued us. We went on Sunday and were very pleased. Kindness and professionalism reign supreme among the owners and waiters. On Sunday, they had mushrooms off the menu, and we enjoyed them both breaded and with tagliatelle. Delicious. We also ordered a cheese platter, which we thoroughly enjoyed. All this with a half bottle of Franciacorta. I highly recommend it for its quality, professionalism, and elegance.

01/09/2025: A stunning location for a wedding. Receptions were held in the garden with a stunning river in the background. The menu was excellent, and the owners were delightful, along with a well-organized staff. Highly recommended.

16/08/2025: We came as a family of about 30, and we made a reservation for lunch. The owner opened the restaurant especially for us! The setting is beautiful, with a lovely outdoor area, and children are welcome; there are trampolines available 😉 A family-run restaurant with tasty and generous cuisine... Wines, digestifs, and coffees included! You can enjoy specialties and fresh, local products exclusively! Reservations only.

06/09/2025: The restaurant is very quaint, both in summer and winter (inside and out). The service is excellent, with knowledgeable (and very friendly) staff who explain the dishes. The dishes are beautifully presented, and the quality is medium-high. The exquisite Marche-style meat pie features incredibly tender and flavorful meat, and the side of baked potatoes is sublime. I don't recommend the dessert (a semifreddo tiramisu). The wine by the glass, a full-bodied Piceno red, is recommended with the meat courses.

25/08/2025: A basic, yet welcoming and tidy place. The service was courteous, helpful, and fast. The pizza was very good, both in the dough and the ingredients and toppings; you could taste the quality of the ingredients used. My only complaint was the quantity of fries served; given the €5 price tag, I would have appreciated a slightly larger portion.

25/08/2025: It was very crowded and they were a little slow, but the pizzas are very good and very reasonably priced. If you're on vacation and not in a hurry for dinner, this is a perfect spot in Cortona.

03/09/2025: We want to add that two different friend groups recommended this restaurant. The food was extremely fresh, with a very good portion size. Mind you; the pasta sizes you see in the photos below is half a portion. The starters were great, very fresh and tasty. Everything was timed perfectly, with the chance for our daughter to eat first but also for us to enjoy the started with her. The wine selection is vast and very good prices. Everything is local, from the fish, the wines and the bread. We will come back for sure!!
