04/09/2025: A very authentic Puglia buffet, with friendly and friendly owners, one of whom also speaks a little Hungarian. For around 3-4€ you can get a filling and fresh panzerotto, this is the Puglia langos with tomato and mozzarella. They also sell delicious local beer and wine.

07/06/2025: We ended up at this village by accident in te first place. But we loved the entire authentic vibe. Especially the kind hearted and caring people (sth with a mtb that broke down). We didn t plan to go out for dinner but... then we saw this place. It looked inviting although only local people were there and it was siesta time. Since I didnt feel like cooking we first asked if it was possible to pay by card. Luckily it was! It was Still early so we first went to the waterfall (which u can apparently ice climb in winter!! *when we are more experienced climbers we will surely try) We loved it. Maybe because we were outside the season. We didnt visit the mines although we understood that the visit was worthwhile. Coming back to the review of this inn. We absolutely adored it. We hardly speak Italian but the woman who helped us was so kind. And the food was amazing!! We had a starter first with cheese and meat but the best of all: their flatbread. We would definitely go back to just ask the recipe for that one! We first wanted to order 2 pizza's but after the starter we Just shared 1 and the taste was amazing too. So cheers to all of the people who still live in the village and shout out to this tasty place!

24/07/2025: Fantastic food, regional, innovative, and exciting. The quality is very high. The prices are quite reasonable. The waitress was overwhelmed by the high volume of service. It's a shame the other staff members standing around didn't help her.

18/08/2025: I'd just like to point out that there was too much oil on the pizza, which made it a bit too heavy for my taste. That said, the pizza was still good. The wife was also satisfied, but she did make a point (please take this as advice, not as a harsh criticism): in her case, the vegetable pizza was too big, and very, very undercooked. A pass, anyway!

04/09/2025: The café is located near the old city gate of Udine, close to the train station, which is perhaps a 3-minute walk away. I like to go there when I'm traveling by train. The café is something of an institution and is just as popular with locals as it is with tourists. The staff speak English, which is not always the case in Italy. The service is super friendly and fast. Orders are brought out in lovely arrangements. For example, mineral water comes with a bowl of lemon and orange slices. You can sit outside or inside and enjoy your coffee or Aperol. In any case, the Gran Caffè Friuli has charm. Highly recommended.

11/05/2025: We discovered this place thanks to a Smartbox given to us by colleagues at work. It was a really pleasant surprise, from the service to the environment, to the food. We tried the four-course tasting with wine pairing. What can I say, everything was very good and balanced, in particular the gazpacho left us speechless and the sea bass, cooked in a superlative way. Very very good indeed! Highly recommended place.

05/08/2025: Pizza with a good thin and light crust. The pizza selection is decent but the ingredients are repetitive. The medium beer 🍺 is generous and good. The internal garden is nice and different from the usual dining rooms. I'll have to go back to get a more complete experience. Overall, good.

15/08/2025: For those who want to eat excellent meat in a casual atmosphere. I recommend booking, even during the week! It's always busy, even when there's no one in Udine.
