The Si-Si Hotel in Gemona, where I had the pleasure of staying for one night, deserves a special mention. The atmosphere, seemingly small, surprises you upon entering, perhaps revealing the stinginess of the star rating. It's been a while since I've come across a hotel that, despite its simplicity, exudes great functionality and efficiency, both in its service and hospitality. Recommended.

Perfect for those traveling by car or bicycle between Italy and Austria. The room with a terrace is fantastic. Check-in and check-out are self-service with a QR code. Only breakfast is a bit so-so, with industrial jams, a very sweet juice, and slices of cheese and ham upon request. Part of the building also serves as a restaurant, bar, and tobacconist.

19/04/2026: Friendly staff, clean environment, excellent prices, everything good, congratulations
07/04/2026: Looking at the menu online, we expected to find grilled meats. I don't know if it's because it was Easter, so they might have a special menu, but we had a great time anyway. The staff were professional and welcoming, the place was clean, and the food was very good. Thanks to the waitress's kindness, my son tried the tiramisu (he never eats desserts other than ice cream) and he loved it. Highly recommended.

04/04/2026: An excellent compromise for a budget price, the food is all good and home-style, recommended for those who are very hungry and don't want to spend an arm and a leg.
13/03/2026: I stopped for lunch and found an all you can eat menu with various options, vegetables and second courses, the first courses were scarce but I had a good time, recommended
