05/01/2026: I'm not giving it my all because I only visited it for a company dinner, so I can't fully evaluate its quality. The location (even though I visited it at night, and in a lot of fog) seemed beautiful, and the building was well-maintained. However, the road to get there is particularly narrow and poorly lit in the last stretch. I rate the food quality as more than good; I was disappointed that the appetizers were a bit too cold (including the Erbazzone appetizer 😢), but I'll justify that by the need to prepare in advance for 150 diners. I'll try to return on quieter occasions to fully appreciate it.

A heartfelt thank you to all the staff for their helpfulness and kindness: they welcomed us with a genuine smile and were always available to answer our every request. The staff was incredibly helpful, from the little touches to the details of our wedding planning, which made all the difference. The atmosphere was perfect both for celebrating an event and for a dinner in a peaceful, warm setting with attention to detail. 02/02/2026: Sunday, grey skies, we went to Casalgrande for the inauguration of a rotisserie, then, hunger struck. We arrived at All'Asino Cotto. I opened the door and... Beautiful!! Warm, welcoming, elegant but rustic, bright even in the colors. Large and comfortable rooms. We consumed three first courses, three second courses, two mixed side dishes, plenty of chips, a divine liter of red wine, desserts, two grappas and a beer. What I appreciated were the smiles of the owner and the waitresses, the kindness, the availability and the welcome. Yes, they left us happy because, these days, I have encountered arrogance and long faces in some places where I really didn't expect them. Congratulations to you, and thank you from the bottom of my heart for the beautiful Sunday. 💚

23/08/2025: We ordered pizzas to go, a mix of pizzas by the slice for a birthday. Delicious, crispy yet soft and incredibly flavorful! Next time, we'll try the traditional round ones, which look delicious!

20/02/2026: Delicious pizza, super crispy crust, and truly tasty. I ordered Coco and vegetables (top ingredients and attention to cooking) and sausage. The waitress was very kind and friendly, and she was happy to split it between two flavors, given the small number of customers. The place was truly welcoming, with a gorgeous outdoor seating area and clean, beautiful bathrooms. A truly wonderful experience! The profiteroles were amazing, too! (3 large balls with cream)

07/03/2026: We visited Violella restaurant and were very satisfied. The place is welcoming, spacious, and has a family atmosphere. The menu is varied: it features traditional Emilian dishes, fish, and pizza, all carefully prepared. The portions are generous, and the quality of the ingredients is evident. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the service was prompt. The value for money is also excellent. A restaurant I recommend to anyone looking for good food in the Reggio Emilia area. We'll definitely be back!

11/02/2026: My aunt, who is over 85, asked me to write this review for her. She visited the restaurant a few months ago and had the best cappelletti she's ever eaten. They reminded her of the ones she used to eat as a child. The broth was excellent, too. She also gave 5 stars for the service and the truly beautiful, clean, and tidy location.

16/11/2025: I was reading reviews, but I'm surprised they say there are very few courses. Honestly, after the appetizers, I couldn't stand it anymore. The dishes were very good, and each course was a pleasant surprise. The staff was also very friendly and knew how to make you feel at ease.

19/02/2026: This place has definitely become one of our new favorite restaurants! Although the menu features a wide variety of meats, our absolute favorite remains the fresh fish and grilled seafood: everything is incredibly fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The presentation is meticulous and beautiful, and you can tell it's a family-run restaurant where everyone puts their heart into their work—the atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and authentic. We highly recommend it to anyone: you won't regret it! It will also become your new regular spot.

24/08/2025: For 2 starters of dumplings, salami, cheese (in small quantities), with 2 glasses of Lambrusco, a small bottle of mineral water and a tiny semifreddo, a bill of more than 30 euros seems high to me.

21/10/2025: A very beautiful park, partly grassy and partly wooded, with a picnic and barbecue area. It sits on top of a hill, offering beautiful views of both the Reggio Emilia plain and the hills towards the Apennines. There's also a bar/restaurant. The only downside is the outdoor restrooms, which are in absolutely TERRIBLE condition, clearly not cleaned in a while and full of cobwebs. The outdoor restroom next to the bar (which isn't actually part of the bar, I understand) also wasn't very nice, even though it was morning and the park was still mostly empty. Otherwise, it's definitely worth a visit; it's a beautiful oasis just a short distance from Reggio Emilia. Five stars for the park, one star for the restrooms.

28/03/2026: A good restaurant, excellent for large groups. Fantastic gnocchi and excellent tigelle, as well as cured meats. Tortelli not excellent, risotto and tagliatelle very appetizing. The second course is hard to finish. Congratulations, I'll be back.
