28/07/2025: A Service Disappointment An experience that unfortunately proved disappointing despite the attractive location and the quality of the products offered. Our reservation was set for 1:00 PM. My partner and I, along with our child, arrived 20 minutes early. Even though the other couple hadn't arrived yet, we were immediately asked if we wanted to order, clearly showing a rush to get our drinks and clear the table. Our inquiries about the dishes were met with curt responses that seemed to annoy the staff. The climax came when we received the bill. After requesting four amaros, the waiter returned to say that, due to an evening event and the need to prepare the restaurant, they couldn't serve us (it was 2:50 PM). A few seconds later, he returned with a single glass of amaro, almost as if doing us a favor, accompanied by the POS machine to charge us and "clear" the table. Considering a cost of around €80 per person, I would have expected a much different experience, especially in Tuscany, a region renowned for its hospitality. In short, the Albergaccio di Castellina offers quality products, but the excessive price, combined with rushed and unwelcoming service, make the overall experience unsatisfactory. This is a real shame, because in Tuscany there are equally culinary-quality restaurants, but where the welcome is decidedly warmer.

31/07/2025: It's not the first time...the impressions are always excellent. The appetizers are a bit simple but the ingredients are good, the soufflés are very tasty and varied, the first courses, pici with white duck ragù, are delicious, as is my chicken with Vin Santo, orange, and raisins, which was absolutely delicious. The reviews for the steaks were also excellent. The desserts were excellent, with the soup and mascarpone being OUTSTANDING. The price was in line with the quality...we'll definitely return, hoping we don't end up in the back room again, where everything echoes and it's a bit too hot. The fresh potato wedges are delicious...you just have to book.

29/07/2025: A very nice meal in tuscany! It has a large terrace with great views. The food was very tasty, especially the raviolis vin santo (the sauce was so good) and the tagliata with rosemary (really tender). I would also recommend to try their chips (crispy and flavorful).

A culinary experience we recommend to all lovers of good food. Here's a taste of our gastronomic journey: 🧀 The creamy pecorino fondue with truffle sauce: a standing ovation-worthy start! 🍝 The pici with venison ragù: a first course that is pure Tuscan poetry, rich and enveloping. 🥩 The fillet with truffle sauce and the tagliata with arugula and parmesan: the meat, the true star, tender and flavorful. 🍖 And to finish in style, the lamb: an authentic flavor that ended our dinner on a sweet note. A perfect blend of tradition and flavor, all in a welcoming atmosphere and with a romantic view 🥰. Congratulations to the legendary Marisa for giving us such emotions at the table!

05/08/2025: Extremely rude waitress who refused to serve us even though the room was completely empty, claiming that the terrace was already full. It was only 8 p.m., I should point out.

04/08/2025: There's no doubt that this is one of the best pastry shops in Perugia. The service leaves a bit to be desired; it's not always courteous and, above all, not punctual. It takes a long time to get a breakfast of pasta and cappuccino. Accessibility is impossible at certain times of the day.

22/07/2025: A Mystical Experience I've rarely had the opportunity to experience such a beautiful dining experience. Dining at Pepe Nero Restaurant is like this: it's engaging with new, unusual flavors, it's seeing and tasting modern and traditional cuisine at the same time, the refined, expert, and sophisticated touch of those who, it's clear, have always been part of Great Cuisine. Each course is a surprise, to be appreciated first with the eyes and then with the palate. I always choose the tasting menu, so I can try a variety of flavors on the ever-changing menus: the cauliflower, red shrimp, and licorice risotto was a true delight, the Milanese-style red mullet with cabbage and grilled risotto was a delicacy, the stuffed squid was delicious and incredibly tender, accompanied by artichokes, black garlic, and Prato vermouth. And I won't even mention the culinary journey offered before lunch, with delicious small portions that literally ignite the senses. The staff is young, friendly, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable. The experience at Pepe Nero in Prato is a treat I always enjoy whenever I can. Thank you!

25/06/2025: It was a pleasant surprise! I went to lunch with my wife and son. We chose this restaurant because we had heard good things about it but we were a little afraid that it was the classic restaurant with expensive but extremely poor dishes… We wanted to try the experience anyway and we came away enthusiastic! The prices are absolutely fair and not too high but above all the quality is very high! Both in the choice of raw materials and in the skill in preparing the dishes we fell in love with it! We shared an appetizer among 3 of us (just to nibble something while waiting for the first courses) and incredibly the dish was sufficiently abundant to allow everyone to eat enough to appreciate it. Afterwards each of us had a first course and as an accompaniment we chose a bottle of white wine (it cost 18 euros and the wine list is fantastic! There are bottles of all types and from all over the world). Even for the first courses the quantity of the courses was generous and both my wife and my son struggled to finish… I was “forced” to help them a little… eheh! Having tasted all three first courses, I can say that the skill of those who work in the kitchen is truly exceptional! Congratulations! To finish, my wife and I shared a second course. We were very pleased to receive the dish already divided into two plates. The extremely professional and kind service is another strong point of this restaurant. In total, we spent 97 euros (so about 32 euros per person). We did not have dessert or coffee because we were full and satisfied. In the end, the expense was more than acceptable and I have rarely been so happy after paying the bill. We will definitely return every now and then to be lulled and spoiled with such quality.

13/08/2025: Fiore is always a guarantee: simple dishes, home cooking, delicious meat cooked to perfection. Outdoor seating surrounded by greenery. It's not a fancy place, it's simply a nice place where you eat well, you couldn't ask for anything else!

07/08/2025: Family dinner. Nice and quiet location. We dined al fresco on the restaurant's large terrace, under the trees. The appetizers and first courses were delicious (the duck sauce was delicious). The steak and sliced lard were superb!

Friendly and efficient staff; they even served a bowl of water for our dog with our drinks, a thoughtful gesture especially given the heat these days. The price is in line with the dishes we sampled. If you're looking for a restaurant where you can sample Tuscan cuisine, this is the ideal place.

12/07/2025: We ate here by chance and asked if they could make us carbonara even though it wasn't on the menu. They said yes, and it was delicious. It wasn't badly priced (15 euros), and the guy who served us (Petro) was super friendly.

16/05/2025: Fui pelas avaliações que vi aqui, mas me surpreendi negativamente. O garçom é rude e te trata diferente se você não é italiano. Tentei pedir uma sobremesa por várias vezes e ele passava por nós e ignorava… quando enfim pedimos a conta, ele quis tirar o pedido da sobremesa e como percebeu a insatisfação, trouxe de “presente” um bolo velho. Sobre a comida, é simples e não tem nada de especial. Razoável.
