08/09/2025: Quality and goodness: We dined here while in Risignano. The sunset view was phenomenal. The dishes, from the appetizer (a good portion given the quality of the ingredients), to the first courses (where instead of the mezze maniche we received a tube with mushrooms, a new experience), to the superior house wine, and the music selection, which was excellent for us. Very nice place.

06/09/2025: We went for dinner...a very charming and intimate, quaint place. We ate very well. The service was friendly and attentive, and the value for money was excellent.

28/09/2025: We were there for our anniversary and it was a great decision, very nice restaurant, truly exceptional food, kind welcome, compliments for everything, I recommend the royal and the pork in 7 versions, and don't forget to try the excellent desserts

30/09/2025: A business dinner with a random choice of venue, I have to say it went very well! The menu was very nice and varied. The Florentine steak was very good and well priced. The only downside was that it took a bit longer to cook! Congratulations, though! I recommend it!

12/09/2025: My partner and I treated ourselves to lunch at this historic restaurant, which we've known for years due to its fame and its appearance on a popular television show. The restaurant's interior is wonderful, quiet, and welcoming. The service is truly impeccable; we were treated with kid gloves, and the courses were alternated with the chef's specials (entrées, special breads, and a sweet moussebouche to finish), making the experience very enjoyable. We expected something more—again, given its fame (and the prices, which aren't exactly low, but never out of reach)—from the entrees we ordered, which seemed unevenly cooked. We're not experts enough to complain, but I had an even better idea, perhaps over-expecting them. The dessert we ordered, however, which is "Champion of Italian Cuisine 2022," was truly sublime.

07/10/2025: Great guys working the counter!!!! If you tell them Stephen sent you they will slice you a piece of the roast beef!!!!!!!! Amazing. And these travel well! Grab one and a bottle of wine and go for a picnic... My favorite samich is: Porchetta, cooked ham, arugula, tomato, basil pesto, smoked burata and basil!

07/10/2025: I had my very first Fiorentina-style steak 🥩 here, right in the heart of the medieval city of Siena 🏰. Even after months, I can still remember the taste: juicy, bloody, soft, and perfectly fresh. The Tuscan wine 🍷 paired with it so well that together they truly felt like heaven ✨. That night was unforgettable. The atmosphere of Siena, the amazing food, and the wine made it one of those rare experiences you wish you could relive again and again. I can’t fully describe the feeling this city and this restaurant gave me, but it will always stay in my memory. Definitely recommended, and I truly hope to return to Siena — and to this place — one day ❤️

13/09/2025: We came here after a friend referred us to the restaurant. Our food was delicious. We got the Florentine steak that was great, but I did have to request it to get cooked a little bit more. Our server was very quiet and didn’t really seem like he wanted to be there, but otherwise we had a great experience. They bring out the steak raw and weigh it for you before they cook it.

11/09/2025: I'm so happy I discovered this place, thanks to a friend in Florence! The first courses were very good... But the Fiorentina steak was spectacular. Weighed in front of us, inspected before cooking, large, thick, and incredibly tender. It's not exactly a place for children, but the waiter at our table was very kind to my son without ever losing his composure... A place I'd love to return to!!

Upon entering, you're immediately snarled at for asking if you could sit down...the owner should put a sign on the door informing you of this. The whole time, you felt like you were just a nuisance. The food was okay, but nothing spectacular.

19/09/2025: An excellent trattoria with a wide selection of cuts of meat on the menu; the Florentine steak is definitely worth a try. The atmosphere is well-organized and very pleasant, though not easy to find, but certainly better than other restaurants that are only good in name. The service is excellent, with well-trained staff who can recommend a good selection on the menu.

11/10/2025: Osteria just steps from the cathedral. Very friendly atmosphere. For €30, I ate: appetizer, first course, dessert, glass of wine, water, and a complimentary coffee. I think it's one of the best places in Siena. I recommend booking.

11/10/2025: The trattoria is famous for its Chianina Florentine steak. I would have liked to try it, but unfortunately the cost of 6.5 euros per 100 grams prevented me from doing so. It's not that I didn't have the money, but if I had to spend 65 euros just for a steak, I wouldn't have been able to try other dishes. The pici with Chianina ragù were good, as were the peposo and the lampredotto in zimino (with spinach). Although, for the latter two, I recommend reducing the sauce, which was too watery, as was the caramel in the Crem Caramel. Always book, because the place seems more like a grocery store than a trattoria. The spaces are narrow, the tables are small, and there are many requests for food. Although I didn't like the service, the young waitress is unprofessional. Before bringing the cheese to the table, or removing a plate from the table, you should Ask the customer for permission. I was also disappointed by the side dishes (roasted potatoes with their skins on, spinach that wasn't sautéed properly, and beans that lacked flavor or seasoning). The extra virgin olive oil they brought to my table, on the other hand, was one of the best I've ever tasted in a restaurant. It reminded me of what my grandfather used to make. I don't know if they put it on their dishes, but it would certainly make everything better.

05/10/2025: Lunch was excellent: the pasta with Chianina ragù was delicious, the stew was tasty and delicate, and the desserts were a real treat, especially the grape schiacciata and the fig tart. The Michelangelo bitters were particularly tasty.

22/07/2025: A Mystical Experience I've rarely had the opportunity to experience such a beautiful dining experience. Dining at Pepe Nero Restaurant is like this: it's engaging with new, unusual flavors, it's seeing and tasting modern and traditional cuisine at the same time, the refined, expert, and sophisticated touch of those who, it's clear, have always been part of Great Cuisine. Each course is a surprise, to be appreciated first with the eyes and then with the palate. I always choose the tasting menu, so I can try a variety of flavors on the ever-changing menus: the cauliflower, red shrimp, and licorice risotto was a true delight, the Milanese-style red mullet with cabbage and grilled risotto was a delicacy, the stuffed squid was delicious and incredibly tender, accompanied by artichokes, black garlic, and Prato vermouth. And I won't even mention the culinary journey offered before lunch, with delicious small portions that literally ignite the senses. The staff is young, friendly, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable. The experience at Pepe Nero in Prato is a treat I always enjoy whenever I can. Thank you!

25/06/2025: It was a pleasant surprise! I went to lunch with my wife and son. We chose this restaurant because we had heard good things about it but we were a little afraid that it was the classic restaurant with expensive but extremely poor dishes… We wanted to try the experience anyway and we came away enthusiastic! The prices are absolutely fair and not too high but above all the quality is very high! Both in the choice of raw materials and in the skill in preparing the dishes we fell in love with it! We shared an appetizer among 3 of us (just to nibble something while waiting for the first courses) and incredibly the dish was sufficiently abundant to allow everyone to eat enough to appreciate it. Afterwards each of us had a first course and as an accompaniment we chose a bottle of white wine (it cost 18 euros and the wine list is fantastic! There are bottles of all types and from all over the world). Even for the first courses the quantity of the courses was generous and both my wife and my son struggled to finish… I was “forced” to help them a little… eheh! Having tasted all three first courses, I can say that the skill of those who work in the kitchen is truly exceptional! Congratulations! To finish, my wife and I shared a second course. We were very pleased to receive the dish already divided into two plates. The extremely professional and kind service is another strong point of this restaurant. In total, we spent 97 euros (so about 32 euros per person). We did not have dessert or coffee because we were full and satisfied. In the end, the expense was more than acceptable and I have rarely been so happy after paying the bill. We will definitely return every now and then to be lulled and spoiled with such quality.

17/07/2025: We visited the restaurant on Wednesday evening at 9:30 PM, having booked through The Fork app. We were immediately greeted with great kindness and helpfulness by the staff, who were impeccable throughout the evening. We ordered two raw fish appetizers and two main courses: the service was quick and attentive, and the food was truly special, fresh, and beautifully presented. A special thanks goes to the professional and friendly staff: they made the experience even more enjoyable. Congratulations!
