01/04/2025: I went to Trattoria Dardano for lunch last Saturday, during a trip to Cortona. Nice atmosphere, excellent service and food. I took Pici with garlic and french fries. My partner: bruschetta with porcini mushrooms, Pici all'aglione and french fries. Delicious pici, handmade, French fries in their skin, cut by them, very good, the bruschetta in my opinion decent, arrived lukewarm, lukewarm, "no". Small but clean toilet; perhaps, located in a narrow, passageway, somewhat inconvenient point. Very kind, fast and attentive staff. Prices normal. Overall, yes, it was a positive experience, worth repeating! If you find yourself in Cortona, stop by! Reservation recommended!🙂

25/03/2025: Textbook Florentine steak and absolute value for money. Location without too many frills but excellent for an informal dinner. Choose their classic format: appetizer with cold cuts, cannellini beans and bruschetta and then his majesty the Ciccia, cooked with mastery in the perpetual embers! They offer house wine in flasks but if you have a minimum knowledge of wine, ask for one of the labels present in the restaurant, including some excellent classic Chiantis! Highly recommended for Ciccia without paying too much attention to the shape.

09/03/2025: Locale molto comodo all’uscita dell’autostrada e accanto all’outlet di Barberino. Abbiamo provato la famosa Fiorentina, con patata al forno comprese. Qualità e cottura della carne ottima. Ma le patate al forno erano la cosa più buona in assoluto. Anche la crescenta servita come pane era deliziosa. I dolci al carrello erano tutti buoni. In occasione della festa della donna c’era la mimosa fatta da loro. Punto di riferimento per chi vuole mangiare una buona fiorentina!

09/03/2025: Ristorante rimasto ancorato alle tradizioni (anche come ambiente) e al cibo di una volta, con una qualità notevole. E per questo da sempre molto frequentato. Noi abbiamo preso dei classici antipasti misti (crostini di vario tipo: ai fegatini, al lardo e fagioli, ai pomodorini; salumi: prosciutto, finocchiona; ecc) buoni. Ma il meglio è arrivato dopo: tortelli  al ragù secondo me eccezionali, sicuramente tra i migliori mai assaggiati. Poi un controfiletto al pepe verde davvero notevole. Insomma, Cosimo rimane un classico mugellano, da provare se si è in zona.

05/04/2025: Excellent dinner. A certainty from Paola, excellent as always. Dry and crunchy farmyard fritto, mashed fried vegetables and excellent artichoke flan. Excellent tiramisu.

And we come to the sore points: the owner and his absolute lack of tact with his collaborators, his being totally messed up and disorganized. In 2025 we can no longer think of managing a restaurant business like this. He ran like crazy back and forth from the kitchen giving random orders and also putting a certain tension on the diners. My bill was 49.00 euros (see photo) and I made a debit card for 45.00 euros and, what's worse, I added a hot appetizer (???) to the bill that I never got. Can't really comment. Sin

26/02/2025: Cozy restaurant, with an old-fashioned style. Unfortunately, however, I was not satisfied with the food: starters of cured meats and crostini were normal; I didn't like the first, truffle gnocchi, while the wild boar pappardelle was very, very good. For the second course we took a cut, which was also not good at all: it remained very "mushy" and not very tasty. The accompanying wines were good. A plus point was certainly the service: quick, impeccable and attentive to the smallest details. We were not very happy with the price, perhaps a little too high...

28/03/2025: Very well managed 80's restaurant with many friendly waiters. A bit confusing. Varied menu: fish, meat and pizza. We opted for a Florentine steak with vegetables. Really very good. Prices in line with those of the market.

15/03/2025: Passing through for work, excellent welcome. Pappardelle with wild boar and wild boar Maremma style very good. Super quick service, you eat well and you spend the right amount. If I have a chance I will stop again

25/03/2025: English: We found ourselves in this restaurant in August 2024, passing through the area looking for a restaurant open at 1.30/2pm, we arrived at this place in the middle of nowhere, a little perplexed by the slightly faded signs. We entered and found a large garden with flowers and greenery everywhere, a truly interesting location! At first we wanted to sit inside to stay cool, but having seen the slightly gloomy environment we asked to sit outside even though it was a little hot. We had a great time in the shade under a roof of climbing plants. We had a platter as an appetizer and a Florentine steak to follow, as well as desserts (a very special and refined rosemary panna cotta, never seen or tasted elsewhere). We were really satisfied, especially with the Florentine steak, which was shown to us before being cooked, the host was very kind. At the end of the meal we stayed to chat with the owner for a long time, we had a great time! It was a nice surprise! If we were to find ourselves in the area again I would return.

10/03/2025: The itinerary to reach the structure is rather arduous, but upon arrival it is worth it. Beautiful structure, excellent service and attention to the guest, we appreciated the proposals, applause for the little hearts, stuffed pasta and catucciamisu!

31/03/2025: We entered the place as 4 people and were subjected to extremely rude behavior. While we were ordering, he nervously pulled the menu away from us. He practically threw the plates while serving. When we got up to pay the bill, he made us sit down. We thought we would pay at the table, but he took the bill of the customers who got up after us and insisted on making us wait. When we expressed our desire to pay the bill again, he angrily said "I'm working" and started cleaning the empty tables. It was unbelievable. It was a ridiculous experience. You can buy this rudeness for 47 euros. As for the portions, we ate 3 tortillas, there were a total of 4 pieces per portion, and I guarantee that you will still be hungry. I don't recommend it to anyone who goes to Italy for the first time, because there are so many beautiful places, don't let it stay in your mind.

29/03/2025: Unfortunately I have to leave a negative review for this restaurant. The food was good and the service was initially friendly, but the experience was ruined when the bill came. I had explicitly asked that everyone pay for their own meal, but the staff refused and insisted on splitting the bill equally, despite this making me pay more than I should have. I find this management unfair and disrespectful towards the customer. It's a shame, because the place has potential, but an attitude like that can really ruin an evening. I won't be returning

19/02/2025: Ci siamo fermati per il pranzo dopo una mattinata di shopping, il locale dove si pranza è uno stanzone con poca luce. Abbiamo preso delle pappardelle in bianco con ragù anatra (i pici erano terminati, erano nel menu) purtroppo sono arrivati completamente scotti, la porzione era abbondante e inoltre avendo diviso ci è arrivato in piatti separati, inoltre i piatti per errore sono stati consegnati al tavolo accanto e solo dopo la segnalazione riconsegnati a noi (per fortuna non erano stati toccati) . A seguire cinghiale in umido con polenta, veramente buono ed abbondante, e carciofi fritti . Uno zuccotto per dolce ma non ha entusiasmato. I prezzi sono validi in relazione alla quantità e qualità, tuttavia tornando a casa sullo scontrino ho trovato un paio di piatti con un euro in più rispetto il menu che occorre aggiornare.
