Ristorante la Bottega Di Morello In Sesto fiorentino

A lovely restaurant serving traditional Tuscan cuisine. The food is excellent. The wood-fired ragù is amazing on polenta but is even better with tagliatelle. The service is friendly and attentive. The location, on the road from Sesto Fiorentino to Monte Morello, is charming.

Returning from a circular trekking tour on Monte Morello. I won't deny that during some of the more strenuous stretches of the trek, my strength was the thought of reaching the end so I could have lunch alone at this restaurant I'd been eyeing for a while. Luckily, I was able to try their tagliolini with blackthorn, mushrooms found only in spring. The lamb with potatoes in a claypot, cooked directly in the wood-fired oven, was sublime. Unfortunately, I couldn't choose from the wine list since I was alone, but trust me when I say there's a lot (I'm a sommelier and have worked in the wine world for years). I can't wait to return. P.S.: The location, staff, and relaxation were top-notch. Congratulations.

Sunday lunch with friends, charming restaurant on the hills of Florence, good food with Tuscan flavours on the plate, top-notch Florentine steak, excellent service, reasonable prices, lovely outdoor veranda for lunch and dinner in the summer.

A perfectly renovated rustic restaurant, serving traditional appetizers and a fantastic Florentine steak, featuring a variety of meats and aged cuts, all of which are always over 4 fingers thick. Fair prices for the excellent quality!

Excellent food and impeccable service

Dinner for two, a very nice place, although I would have expected slightly nicer and more refined tablecloths from a place like this. The staff was very courteous and the service was quick, especially considering the small number of customers at the time. We ordered a starter, the potato flan, which unfortunately had a very cold, if not almost frozen, center, a real shame because everything else was truly excellent. Telling others, they said it had never happened to them before and, in fact, it seemed very unusual. We also ordered two first courses, the potato tortellacci and the pappardelle with wild boar ragù, both highly appreciated, both for the way the pasta and the tortellacci were cooked, and for the two sauces, which didn't overpower the meat flavor. For dessert, the chocolate soufflé was also a favorite. Overall, a good experience, a highly recommended place for a quiet evening and if you want to eat well!

I didn't know this place even though it's in Florence. We booked for New Year's Eve at my wife's suggestion, and it was worth it. The dishes were cooked to perfection and had bold flavors. The service was fast, friendly, and seamless. The place was beautiful, with a lit fireplace, and even the restrooms were perfect. What can I say? Go there, it's worth the trip. Many thanks to all the staff.
