07/01/2026: Mandrake is a plant that's extremely toxic to humans. This restaurant, however, contrary to its name, offers dishes of great flavor and exquisite craftsmanship. I began my dining experience here with the classic finocchiona, which I normally don't finish because I find it very fatty; but with the one offered by La Mandragola, I would have gladly had a second helping (and that says it all!) I then continued with a soup of "vegetables, farro, and beans," which was exquisite as well as delicate, so much so that I didn't feel any of the heaviness that often occurs with this type of dish. A place of informal elegance, warm, welcoming, immaculately clean, and with a wonderful garden where, in the warmer months, not only the materiality of "taste" but also the spirituality of "sight" are satisfied. Efficient and professional wait staff; more than decent wine list. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

The service was excellent: the staff was friendly, attentive, and always available, making us feel welcomed from start to finish. The atmosphere is pleasant and authentic, perfect for those who want to experience true Tuscan cuisine. The food is top-quality, with carefully selected ingredients and dishes prepared with great care. The highlight of the dinner was undoubtedly the authentic Florentine steak, cooked to perfection: tender, flavorful, and served according to tradition. It was a pleasure to savor such authentic flavors. We highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to eat well and have a genuine culinary experience. We will definitely be back!

However, this price is per 100g, and the cut of meat there is enormous. It could easily be shared by two people. Therefore, order just one steak and consider paying around €40 for that piece.
