A typical Roman restaurant serving traditional dishes. Our last experience here was less impressive than previous years. Perhaps the quality of the food and the cuisine had declined. The service was absolutely perfect and welcoming! The lamb was excellent, but the desserts should be avoided. I recommend booking, even though the restaurant wasn't busy the last time (it was a Friday night).

I tried a delicious Roman Carbonara, excellent service. My husband had picanha with potatoes and a good house wine. I highly recommend it, great service and close to many tourist attractions.

My wife and I came for lunch while waiting for our tour of the Vatican Museums. What a delight! We were warmly greeted and seated and shown how to access the English menu via QR code. The menu is extensive and if everything is as good as the food we chose (spaghetti carbonara, penne all’arabiata) then you will certainly enjoy your meal. This was not the indifferent tourist fare available at so many restaurants, but tasted like home cooking of the best sort. Come and enjoy the cozy atmosphere and good food.

A restaurant I can definitely recommend. Not far from the Vatican, it impresses with good food and friendly staff. Even two years later, we weren't disappointed. The food still tastes absolutely delicious!

A quiet spot, even though it's close to St. Peter's Square, it's far from the tourist crowds. Friendly and helpful staff, a small but cozy space, and excellent traditional cuisine.

25/04/2026: I'm not one to always write reviews, but this time I felt compelled by the fact that last night we had dinner here with friends, and I can assure you that everything was exceptional, from the owner to the waiters, from the food to the good wine.
19/04/2026: This place was a very welcome sanctuary from the very poor and low quality restaurants of Rome City where we felt like pariahs being tourists. Service and food was excellent and the prices very reasonable. We felt welcomed which was something very lacking in Rome. If the opportunity presented itself to revisit, we would. Compliments to the chef for outstanding food and wine. Thank you

31/05/2026: Very good food, catering for all tastes (obviously traditional Roman fare). I recommend the carbonara, the fried dishes, and the oxtail stew. Quick and knowledgeable staff, and almost no wait time. Old-fashioned atmosphere, but given that it's a long-established trattoria, that's acceptable. The bill is a little high, but nothing out of the ordinary.
31/05/2026: A historic restaurant serving traditional Roman cuisine. The menu offers a wide range of traditional specialties, but also offers simpler, lighter options. The restaurant is always busy, making it noisy on peak days and at peak times. I recommend booking online in advance.
