Delicious typical dishes, served at good times. Professional and really nice staff, extremely patient even though we were a little undisciplined. If I really have to make a note, I would improve the dessert. Absolutely recommended

Incredible food, cozy atmosphere, and extremely nice staff and owner. Found this place by chance and it was amazing :). We ordered both gluten-free and normal dishes and everything was delicious!

Light and dark on an evening that was not at all exciting. I got the chicken hunter. Chicken clearly cooked in the microwave and then continued in that sort of sauce made of 4 cherry tomatoes divided into 4, a few needles of rosemary and perhaps 3 capers, if at all. The meatballs with sauce were good, nothing superlative. The tripe not bad. Maybe a little little. High prices for the quality felt in the agreements.

Delightful late lunch after tour of the Vatican. We walked fairly deep into a neighborhood that our guide told us was the home of locals. We passed a number of places that clearly were trading on their proximity to the Holy See, including one with an aggressive barker outside. We found the real deal. Roman pasta for me. Chef's special meatballs with four Roman sauces for Lynn. A sweet young server and the owner looked after us.

Cucina romana e mediterranea, buona e servita da un ottimo oste, allegro, gioviale ma non invadente. Menu vario con molta tradizione romana. Luogo non destinato a una clientela turistica ma più a coloro che non amano il mordi e fuggi senz’anima.

Pranzato “per caso” in questo ristorantino tipico romano in un sabato di febbraio. Locale piccolo ma curato. Cucina tipica e di qualità. La vera cucina romana. Personale cordiale e disponibile. Sicuramente un ristorante da tenere in considerazione per una futura visita a Roma. Rapporto qualità/prezzo onesto.

01/04/2024: Restaurant with a pleasant and comfortable environment a stone's throw from Via Veneto, Villa Borghese and Via Sistina. I found everything well presented and prepared by an excellent kitchen, with normal waiting times. Service is attentive, attentive and non-intrusive. The restaurant offers a notable variety of dishes, ranging from meat and fish appetizers, to first courses (always land and sea), from the grill to crudités and fish and meat tartare. Normal prices (three-course lunch around €50/60), however excluding the wine which I didn't try.
31/03/2024: This is the best restaurant that we ate at during our time in Rome. The food was delicious and perfectly cooked, and the service was excellent. Highly recommend the salmon, the rib eye steak and lamb rack - however all the dishes we ordered were lovely. Clean and relaxing atmosphere really added to the wonderful dining experience.

25/03/2024: We enjoyed one of the best meals we had in Rome at Da Emilios . This family run restaurant was a pleasant surprise being so close to our AIRBNB rental. We met the entire family from Mom cooking in the kitchen, to Dad coming out to the table several times during the meal to be sure everything was good, to the brothers waiting the tables. We were told by the family that their Roman Artichokes (Carciofi alla Romana) were the best in Rome. This was confirmed by us after trying them at several other restaurant's after trying theirs...none came close !
21/03/2024: Emilio's friendliness combined with the professionalism in the kitchen of his wife and son in looking after the diners are a guarantee!! ...and so the tradition of Roman cuisine is made in the most appetizing way possible. Don't miss the rigatoni with pajata and Roman-style saltimbocca. Artichokes are sublime for their tenderness! Finding yourself at Emilio's is a joy for the palate! Familiarity and simplicity combined with a now rare friendliness here in Rome are welcome in this place which exudes all the characteristics of the beautiful cuisines of the past. We started with a tasting of fried battered anchovies and marinated anchovies, just to accompany a first sip of good wine to toast together, but the joy began with the rigatoni with pajata (excellent), the homemade agnolotti with ragù and spaghetti with anchovies and cherry tomatoes, just to enjoy a first demonstration of how Emilio's wife knows how to take care of the taste of preparing real traditional dishes with fantastic results with now rare ability! Continuing with an ossobuco, some veal rolls with mashed potatoes and what mashed potatoes - it looked like the one prepared by grandmother - the joy of flavors was revealed in all its beautiful composition!! In short, excellent quality food, preparation according to tradition and perfect execution make a stop at Emilio's a very welcome moment of serene joy! And the joy doesn't fade when it's time to pay the bill!
