10/01/2026: A must-visit in Positano! Food, service, and atmosphere is great. I’d recommend reserving in advance if you can as walk-in tables are limited (and people start lining up at 6 for 6:15 when the restaurant opens). Ordered the mussels, mixed salad, rigatoni with beef and onion sauce, and spaghetti vongole. I HIGHLY recommend getting the cheesecake from their dessert menu - extremely creamy and was my favourite item from the restaurant. Will definitely visit again!
09/01/2026: Can’t say enough about Da Vincenzo. Being a Michelin spot, I expected small portions and overpriced and neither of those happened. Very reasonable prices (with starters dessert and a bottle of wine), some of the best flavors in Italy and a professional wait staff and kitchen brigade. 🤌🏻

Excellent dishes, top-quality food, and of course, spectacular truffles. The dining room was superbly managed by the manager (I think I remember his name being Sandrino) and all the waiters! Top-notch!

14/02/2026: We had a dinner on 12 Feb and it was a €300 for 2 people. The food was good and the servers are helpful in general but it’s a really packed restaurant. Regrettably, we were sharing most of the food except the oysters and my companion vomited seriously at night and being fatigue the day after. We did have high expectations as it seems to be an extraordinary restaurant especially the seafoods but it terribly ruined our night and the last shopping day. It was really not a good experience and impression of our 1st visit to Milan.

09/04/2026: We had an amazing meal at the restaurant. We received a recommendation from a friend and it did not disappoint! The restaurant arranged transportation to and from our Villa and worked to accommodate a gluten allergy. The staff was amazing and the food was a great way to cap off a trip to Italy. Would highly recommend! We had a mix of starters and everyone had great portions for the main courses and the desserts capped off a great night.
20/12/2025: Limited flexibility in editing the food items which is standard in italy but they were very kind to us as we are vegetarian. They made us Gnocchi sorrentino and it was the best italian dish I may have had in my whole life. Ate it twice in a 3-4 day stay in positano. Honestly if you are vegetarian the dish will not disappoint it is hands down created for the gods. So fantastic! The tomato sauce and the basil really shine through the dish, it is truly something special! Beautiful family! Cheers to the chef making such an extraordinary dish, yet so simple. I refuse to eat Gnocchi anywhere else because I don’t want to be disappointed. Truly hand crafted!

04/03/2026: We've been going to the Hermitgae as a family for many years and it's one of my favourite hotels. Why? It's family run, big enough to have everything you need including a not huge, but swimmable decent indoor pool and spa, but small enough to be personal. The location is in a quiet wooded spot just outside Madonna with stunning views. Rooms are good and service excellent and there is a friendly minibus to take you into town or the lifts always available Most people go half board - the breakfast is excellent with delicious fresh breads, home baked patisserie, hams, salamis and mountain cheeses along woth perfectly cooked eggs to order, pancakes etc, yoghurts, fresh juices - only complaint is they could do with a decent museli, but you can order properly made porrage - and the coffee, top, along with teas. The dinner this year was the best we have had, strating with a grilled veg and salad buffet with hams, smoked salmon and cold roast beef, then choices of pasta/soup course, brilliant main course and stunning desserts - they also do excellent home-made tea time pastries included Madonna itself is medium-sized, low built resort full of, 3 and 4* family run hotels with some very good cafes and shops - the slopes are varied, maybe not Val d'isere, but pretty good with some v demanding blacks and excellent independent-run ski restaurants. Efficient lifts and snow making means conditions are always good, even though it sometimes gets busy at peak as the area is popular now with Poles and Czechs - overall, magical place, very friendly, the Dolomites beat the Alps in my view and as long as you are not into glitzy 6* spiv hotels, Bio Hermitage is the best you can get!

You could sense the passion and history behind each product. The final tasting, paired with local wines, was the perfect culmination of a journey of discovery of unique flavors. Special praise goes to our guide, Linda, who, in addition to being highly knowledgeable and super professional, was extremely friendly and kind, making the visit even more enjoyable and engaging.

08/04/2026: Whole family got SEVERE food poisoning. Highly recommend not going here!!! BLUE ricotta, the meat was WAY off. I spent 48 hours in the worst pain of my life throwing up from both ends. Same goes for my entire family. STAY AWAY!! The worst part is there are several other reviews reporting food poisoning. The restaurants replied to my review saying “there are no reports”. These are foul lies. This restaurant needs to be shut down. Attached photo of my pants soiled.

19/10/2025: “Incipit” is almost a hidden gem, tucked away from the busy High Street and tourist-heavy areas. This spot comes highly recommended by locals — and for good reason. It has a gorgeous outdoor terrace with views over the piazza, but the real wow factor comes when you choose to dine indoors… in the cave! Yes, a beautifully lit, cosy cave with an incredible atmosphere that makes the whole experience feel special. The service was exceptional — friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The menu is fantastic, offering a perfect mix of local favourites and creative twists. We went all out and enjoyed the full experience: antipasto, primo, and secondo. The tuna tartare was outstanding, bursting with freshness and flavour. I had the Fileja al ’Nduja ragu, which was absolutely mind-blowing — and high on my Calabria culinary wish list. My partner chose the hazelnut risotto, which was equally exceptional. For mains, I had the pistachio-crusted seabass while my partner had the cod — both dishes beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. Highly recommended if you want an authentic, high-quality dining experience away from the tourist traps. Grazie mille per il fantastico servizio 🙏👌👏

20/03/2026: Il Pinguino - Osteno: Thirty Years Later, the Return There are places that live twice: first in memory, second when you return. Il Pinguino in Osteno is one of them. The last time I crossed these thresholds, they were thirty years younger, I was thirty years younger, and spring exploded with a gentle violence that enveloped everything: the trees along the lake, the still-fresh Ceresio air, and that springtime femininity blossoming in the glances, the smiles, the unfulfilled promises of youth. Returning today is an act of courage or nostalgia—perhaps both. Osteno is still there, overlooking Lake Lugano like a silent sentinel, beyond time and fashion. And Il Pinguino endures, true to itself. The Restaurant Nothing has changed, or perhaps everything. The walls, the tables, the smell of real cooking wafting from the dining room. The pizza I order it. It arrives steaming hot, with that puffy, irregular crust that only a wood-fired oven can provide. The return I look out, toward the lake. Spring is no longer what it was back then—or maybe I just don't see it the same way anymore. Nature's blossoming is still there, stubborn, punctual. But that feminine quality that had bewitched me thirty years ago now lives elsewhere, in other gazes, in other lives. The Penguin remains. Osteno remains. The certainty that some places never betray us remains, even when we ourselves change. Recommended? Yes. For those seeking authenticity, for those who want to return, for those who know that certain places should be visited at least twice in a lifetime: once when young, once when not so young. And in between, thirty years of travel. Rating: 4/5 – Not for lack of quality, but because perfection belongs only to memories.
08/03/2026: We found it by chance, and the only downside is that we didn't know about it beforehand. It has a homey, old-fashioned atmosphere, few frills, and transparent prices. We ordered three menus and spent €39. Not only do I recommend the place, but I hope the honesty and dedication of the owners, who in 2026 are providing families with meals at fair prices, will be rewarded with positive publicity!
