A life at Rucola: thank you for everything.
I write these words with a hint of melancholy, after returning to what for me, since time immemorial, has been not just a restaurant, but a true refuge.
I've been coming to Rucola since I was a boy; it saw me become a man, a husband, and a father. It's where I've celebrated the most important milestones in my family, from my children's first communion, with the certainty that we would be welcomed not as customers, but as longtime friends.
Yesterday, sadly, I strongly felt the absence of what made this place special:
Biagio's warm and ever-present welcome.
The memories of Maurizio's Inter Milan that colored the shelves.
That historic cuisine, made of unchanging flavors that tasted of home and security.
Food is important, but the owners' smile was the secret ingredient that completed every dish.
Entering La Rucola meant disconnecting from everything and feeling protected by a management team that put their heart and soul into it.
I want to send a heartfelt greeting to all the people who have shaped the history of this restaurant and to all the customers who, like me, shared a part of their journey at those tables. Everything has changed, but the memories remain indelible.

I only had lunch, so I won't comment on the rooms. It's a traditional restaurant with excellent home cooking, and I really enjoyed the delicious baked guinea fowl.
