Fantastic food, whether fish or meat, pasta or dessert. What Raffaella and Erika conjure up in their kitchen is amazing. We enjoyed it so much that we even went there twice within a week. And thank you to the entire team for being there just for us on “your last evening”! Mille Grazie!

I have been travelling Italy north to south (including Sardinia) for the past month. This is a 3 star restaurant compared to the high end restaurants I have been to. In positano, you will either pay for the view or the food or rarely both. This restaurant does not provide a view. The ambience inside the restaurant is nice but very basic. This brings me to critique the food here. We (a couple) had a pasta each, a main dish, and a dessert. When plates are priced at 23 to 35 euros a plate, I expect a wow factor or originality to the plate. This is your very basic standard "nonna" restaurant. The taste is good but no Wow. My seabass plate was a bit underwhelming. The tiramisu that I had was same as the one I got for 3 euros the day before. Here is my recommendation to you, this place is quite a drive up through very tight roads (as everywhere else), so I wouldn't displace myself specifically to go eat at this restaurant.

Following excellent experiences in Rome, Florence and the Tuscan countryside, we found ourselves a bit disappointed in our earliest days on the Amalfi coast. A Lonely Planet recommendation sent us in happy anticipation to Donna Rosa, and we were not disappointed. We can verify every previous review about the warm hospitality, the serene and dignified ambiance, and the outstanding food. One truly felt as if one were in a traditional home with its family hosts tending to every detail. The menu offerings were varied enough to appeal to every palate. Homemade pasta, fresh local fish and delectable meats satisfied every person at our table and we couldn't have been more pleased. The cocktail and wine lists were excellent as well. Donna Rosa in the kitchen and Rosita as hostess were supported by exquisite service every step of the way. Make Donna Rosa a must-do on your trip to Positano for a memorable dining experience.

Amazing food. The hosts were so attentive and we had lovely conversations with the family being foodies ourselves. Highly recommended.

Perfect location and furnished with very good taste. Very kind staff and truly delicious cuisine. The menu is a bit limited in choice although there are dishes of the day to extend it, but it must also be recognized that everything is freshly prepared.

OMG!! Donna Rosa is one of the best restaurants we ate at during our 2 week stay in 4 different cities in Europe! Food was amazing! Incredibly fresh and delicious. Terrific atmosphere and attentive staff. Worth the trip uphill if you're staying in the main area of the town. Menu had a great selection and the desserts are to die for! Highly recommend this restaurant!!!!!

Absolutely one of the best meals we had while on vacation. You can watch the entire family cook in their open kitchen. Everyone is warm, welcoming and their hospitality feels genuine as though we are members of the family. Highly recommend eating here. Make sure you make a reservation.
