16/02/2026: A wonderful place. Before (or after), you can sunbathe on the lawn next to the restaurant, on the deckchairs provided free of charge. I had polenta taragna with fontina cheese and carbonade...it was so good. The desserts and house wine were also excellent. Those who don't book can also order takeaway polenta to eat outside.

16/02/2026: A mountain refuge located about 3 km from the center of Courmayeur. We reached this refuge on a hike on a snowy day. The very kind staff offered to pick us up with a shuttle. Lunch was excellent, especially the polenta concia and the cotoletta valdostana. We hope to return soon! Thanks, Annalisa

06/01/2026: This morning I went to the spa, a nice and welcoming location. It's a shame the Turkish bath wasn't working, and when I paid (€30 for residents, €35 for foreigners), no one told me anything. The pool floor was very dirty, and the water was decidedly cold, like the temperature inside the relaxation room. It has great potential, but if it's kept like this, I won't be returning.

09/11/2025: The restaurant is located next to Lake Muffè, offering excellent views of the surrounding mountains. In front, there's a large lawn where you can lounge and relax. The restaurant staff is helpful and friendly.

06/09/2025: A stunning refuge with excellent food, both quality and price. I recommend booking. To get there, there's a steep and fairly challenging trail that takes at least an hour, but it offers breathtaking views of the lake. I recommend booking as there aren't many places.

09/09/2025: A wonderful discovery. A creative place, both in terms of ambiance and cuisine. A few carefully selected and refined dishes. Small place, few people. LITTLE, but GOOD.

01/09/2025: My favorite restaurant in the entire Valdigne. The cuisine is creative yet solid, with Japanese influences (the chef is Japanese), and truly exceptional. From appetizers to dessert, the menu is short, but every dish is a treat. Even though I don't drink alcohol, I still come here: it's truly exceptional. My only complaint is that the portions are a bit small. According to my fellow diners, the wine list is superb. The atmosphere is refined yet relaxed, truly pleasant. Prices are reasonable for the quality; it's easy to spend over €50, but it's worth every penny. Plus, they're open outside of high season, which is rare in the area.

12/12/2025: Excellent aperitif! The lady who welcomed us was truly kind and helpful: she carefully and kindly explained all the products, making the experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was pleasant and the selection was quality. I'll definitely be back!

16/11/2025: Located on Aosta's main street, this small, very charming place inside. The exterior is less well-maintained. We had craft beer and a spritz at Genepì: the beer was excellent, the spritz a little less so. As for the food: a plate of cured meats (very good and unique) and cheeses (very few, just three small pieces) (€13) and a sandwich (this one really delicious) (€7.50). The final bill was a bit high (the platter/board made our bill rise slightly above what we considered a "fair" price). Frankly, I wouldn't return. UPDATE AFTER THE OWNER'S RESPONSE: I had given it three stars, but after the owner's response (which was RUDE, especially considering my review was written in a calm tone, unlike hers), I'm changing my rating. I should also point out that I was objective, indicating what I liked and what I didn't, without limiting myself to the negative aspects I noted. In response to this (I would say more than balanced) comment, I read an overly rude and polemical response simply because I dared to say I wouldn't return to this place (a legitimate choice, in my opinion, regardless of the fact that I expressed positive comments about some of the products served, and this demonstrates my intellectual honesty). I understand restaurateurs who react vehemently when they receive exaggerated criticism (that's their job, and they rightly demand respect), but my review wasn't disrespectful at all, and therefore didn't deserve such a rude response simply because I limited myself to saying that, as far as I'm concerned, I wouldn't return. (Because, while it's true that I made positive comments, I also said—albeit in my usual polite tone, downplaying the matter—that a €50 bill for two beers, a Spritz, a meager platter, and a sandwich seems excessive to me.) I won't fall for the provocation of a rude owner, and I won't be equally rude, but I still feel I must say that, in my opinion, anyone who can't take criticism, even when it's as calm as mine, should consider hospitality (not surprisingly, in English) not for them. FURTHER UPDATE: After my first update, the owner edited his response, removing the most "rude" parts (for obvious "image" reasons). This second update is intended solely to highlight that this "step back" unequivocally demonstrates that the manager's previous tone was so "outrageous" that it even led to self-censorship. I'm sorry, but the step back is too late (the insults—because they were insults—about the "quality of my work," which the restaurateur doesn't even know about) are too serious to be wiped away with a sponge (which is also unfair: I've only ever UPDATED my review, never deleted sections deemed "inconvenient" too late).

28/02/2026: You can have lunch at any time... non-stop. I recommend the tasting menu, the cured meats, the chestnut soup, the polenta concia are excellent.

26/02/2026: A new experience at this rustic mountain osteria after a few years away. Nothing has changed. Authentic food, friendly service, fair prices. As before, I chose the tasting menu complete with Aosta Valley appetizers and two soups (barley and chestnuts). The cured meats come from Casa Bertolin, a local deli (Casa Bertolin is nearby and worth a visit for its selection of quality local products). The osteria is also convenient for hikers, open continuously from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. It deserves more visits.

28/08/2025: I'm not from Genoa, but I lived in Lavagna for months...Recco was just a stone's throw away. I've only ever had focaccia like this there. Congratulations.

09/02/2026: Found it online and tried it for dinner. The staff is friendly, the food is good, and the price is fair. I was a bit bothered by the smell of melted cheese (raclette is on the menu), which lingered throughout my stay.

25/01/2026: Typical Aosta Valley cuisine where you can sample classic local dishes (we had soup, fondue, and Valdostana) without feeling like you're in a touristy restaurant. The Cogne cream is out of this world! Excellent selection of wines, both by the glass and bottle; quality cured meats and cheeses, also available in the shop attached to the restaurant. Fairly priced. The waiter who served us was very kind, friendly, and pleasant without being intrusive. Recommended!

07/12/2025: Family dinner after a day in the snow: fantastic cheeses, you can see that the owner knows how to look for quality products, excellent and plentiful first and second courses... unfortunately I was too full to enjoy the desserts.

03/09/2025: Family dinner the third week of August. Welcoming atmosphere. We tried the Valdostan cutlet for the kids...super!...Exceptional Valdostan soup...perhaps the nettle gnocchi were a bit unrelated; they were good but lacked a little extra kick... Recommended wine: Excellent from a new, growing family winery run by eight Valdostan brothers...the price was truly reasonable and not excessive compared to other restaurants we've tried where you can sample typical specialties. Recommended!

02/01/2026: Five star is not Enough!!! 7 stars minimum. Allessandro treats you as if you are from Royal Family. All his team are carefully selected and BERGMAN MOUNTAIN HOTEL is a reason to come Cervina. Breakfast is great, Dinner is Outstanding Secret is Nicoletta , lovely wife of Allessandro. He and she , they are meticulously look after each question or desire you may have. This is throughly Ski IN and SKi OUT hotel just at very heart of track number 3BIS and their location gives you the option to open slopes as early bird ONCE AGAIN THANK YOU BOTH🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🧿

21/12/2025: Very comfortable atmosphere, which is largely due to the hosts themselves, who also serve. Very helpful, attentive and accommodating. You have to understand that this is not a 5-star hotel where you get 50 different dishes for breakfast, but that's what makes it cozy and nice. You come as if you are visiting relatives :)

24/08/2025: Simply the best ice cream I've ever had in the region! The wild berry sorbet, the pistachio ice cream and the honey/caramel ice cream were all great, but the mint-chocolate ice cream with mint leaves picked from the garden and infused directly... It's just a dream! Grazie mille!!

05/08/2025: Purtroppo siamo stati pochi giorni a Valtournenche e abbiamo avuto modo di assaggiare solamente il gelato...ma ci siamo tornati due giorni dei tre che abbiamo trascorso lì perché davvero buonissimo. Se ne avverte la freschezza e la qualità dei prodotti utilizzati inoltre la sua consistenza cremosa è perfetta! Ci sono anche gusti particolari e deliziosi che solitamente non si trovano come l'after eight e mascarpone e fichi. Molto gentile il proprietario che, in caso di dubbi sui gusti da scegliere aiuta con delle spiegazioni sugli ingredienti e dei consigli. Per me e mia figlia che siamo golose di gelato artigianale e ne abbiamo assaggiati tanti ovunque...un gelato che si farà ricordare
