24/11/2025: Restaurant in the greenery of the pine forest in Tirrenia, on Pisorno adjacent to Camp Darby. Very spacious lounge and room for a quick lunch with a fixed menu for €15!!! Including first course, second course coffee and water. For lunch the choice is a little limited, however both meat and fish. Generous portions and more than excellent value for money. I've never been there in the evening but I think the à la carte menu is more varied.

20/11/2025: Everything was exceptional. We had dinner here three nights in a row: tagliatelle with wild boar ragù, seafood platters, and pizzas... everything was delicious!! Everyone was so kind... Thank you so much!

The food was barely adequate; the batter was falling off the fried food. They offered us coffee to apologize. I understand they had problems, but I'll avoid returning.

16/04/2026: In Pontedera, Grano Vivo is a well-known gourmet pizzeria, attracting customers thanks in part to the high expectations it generates. The place presents itself very well: a refined, pleasant atmosphere, with an open-view oven that contributes to a welcoming and modern atmosphere. It's the kind of place where you enter with a certain curiosity and anticipation, perhaps for an evening with friends and family, as in our case. The start was promising: we tried the so-called "pizza sushi," a creative and successful idea. Fragrant, delicate, and balanced in flavor—a dish definitely worth trying. The less convincing part, however, came with the pizzas. We chose a multigrain dough, expecting something unique and worthy of the place's reputation. Unfortunately, the pizzas arrived lukewarm, verging on cold, and this significantly impacted the experience: the result was a product that lacked expression, with flavors that struggled to emerge. More than bad, the pizza seemed dull, lacking the character one expects from a gourmet restaurant. Another aspect that matters a lot to us is digestibility: the next day, the feeling was a bit heavy, despite the relatively simple pizzas we chose. This suggests that the dough, at least on this occasion, wasn't perfectly balanced. Overall, it was a mixed experience: a pleasant atmosphere and some interesting ideas, but a pizza that didn't live up to expectations. With more attention to serving temperature and dough balance, the experience could certainly improve. It's still a place with potential, and it probably deserves another chance to show off its potential.

15/04/2026: Mine was a delightful evening. The atmosphere was beautiful, refined, and well-maintained, with a relaxing play of light. The staff is very kind, always smiling and helpful. Then comes the star of the evening: PIZZA!! It surprises you with its colors and aromas, and then comes the explosion of flavors combined with great skill! The dough is spectacular because it's light, very digestible, and cooked to perfection! I highly recommend it, and if you pay a little more, it's truly worth it!

19/03/2026: I returned after a year and a half; there were 6 of us. The fried food remains the star of the menu, the service is super friendly, but unfortunately for the rest... starting from the plastic flowers placed on the plates with decorative ceramic mushrooms, to the mussels that arrived twice dried out and lukewarm/cold despite the request for them to be hot, to the house white wine in the carafe lukewarm... The orders, despite the kitchen being at full capacity, arrived too quickly... not even enough time for the taste to change in your mouth... mmmmm... shame, really shame!!!! Nothing like the past experience. 😪

26/02/2026: When you arrive, it feels like you're entering someone's home. The door looks like a cellar door because it's made of wood, and you have to go down some steps. The restaurant sign is small and attached to the wall. With the dim lighting, it's hard to spot. After this detail, the menu surprises you with pleasant and refined flavors. On a Saturday night, there were us (2 + 1 stroller, and the stairs are inconvenient), another table for 2, and a table for 5.

29/11/2025: The restaurant is truly charming, with a rural style, offering a tasting menu or à la carte. The €65 Ripadoro menu is a classic, but I found some issues with the food: for the appetizer, all the dishes were already served with a sauce, so I wouldn't have put an enormous amount of mayonnaise in the center of the plate, but rather put it on the side (as is usually served). The suckling pig was rather tough and served with the rind. I ordered a Coke Zero and was brought a local drink, which was already opened, which I unfortunately sent back (it would have been better to ask before opening it if I'd liked something from a different brand). Between the appetizer and the first course, we waited half an hour, but for the rest of the meal, the average wait was 10-15 minutes.

08/11/2025: We went for dinner. Very nice place. Young and helpful staff. The food was a bit unusual, but nothing special. A bit expensive.

13/08/2025: This is a historic place. We had a very good focaccia with prosciutto and mozzarella.

30/01/2026: I consider myself a regular customer; I often go there with friends for a sociable evening, or sometimes I go for takeout. The pizza is excellent, the dough is great, very easy to digest, and the ingredients are always fresh. The owners are very friendly. I highly recommend it.
