12/07/2026: We're a young couple on vacation near Montipoli and were looking for a place to have dinner. We found this Osteria on Google and made a reservation. Once we arrived, we went in and found people eating in the room, but there was no one at the entrance. We waited standing for five minutes before anyone acknowledged our arrival. We introduced ourselves and said we'd made a reservation. They kindly seated us and gave us the wine list. They didn't give us a menu for the food. We waited 20 minutes at the table, and then I stopped the guy I thought was the owner and asked him how the menu worked, since we hadn't received any information yet and had been sitting at the table for over 20 minutes. Before booking, we'd looked online, and someone had also reviewed the place, saying they had a full menu for €55 all-inclusive. The owner told me there were three options: - the €60 per person menu. - order only the charcuterie board, which was the appetizer course on the €60 menu. - order only the meat course included in the €60 menu, which would have charged us based on the weight of the piece and the butcher's price list. We chose the €60 menu and ordered a bottle of wine. When the wine arrived, no one asked if we both drank or who tasted the wine; it was opened without asking and poured into our glasses. Furthermore, after pouring it, the owner, still holding the bottle in his hand, didn't put it on the table but passed behind my back with the open bottle, then placed the bottle on the table next to me. I should point out that the wine menu also has €250 wines. I hope they don't serve the €250 wine like they served us the €20 one, although there shouldn't be a difference in service based on the price of what you buy. Our appetizer arrived and was explained to us by the owner's wife, who was very kind and helpful. (If she had served us alone, the review would probably have been 5 stars, since the review isn't 2 stars because the food is terrible. Absolutely not, it's 2 stars because, being an area where delicious ingredients abound, as are osterias and restaurants, I believe what sets a place apart is the customer service and the welcome.) Thirty minutes passed between the end of our appetizer and the arrival of the already cooked meat. Three minutes during which, unlike at other tables, we weren't shown the piece of meat that would later be cooked. So the main course simply arrived pre-cooked and that was it. No one asked us if we had any intolerances or allergies. Just as no one had previously told us anything about the menu or prices, not until, as explained above, we asked, stopping the owner on the fly between tables. Total bill: €140. We paid what we were told. In this review, I'll discuss the service and the very slow and inattentive attitude. We won't be returning. I'll also leave a piece of advice to the owner, who can take it as you see fit: Put the menu online, briefly explaining your menu idea, because, as you can see from this review, there's a lot of incorrect information circulating online. Thank you.

10/07/2026: We've eaten at Osteria del Norcino several times, and it's always a great choice, both for events organized by the city (for which it's always open) and for a regular dinner! They offer a fixed-price menu that includes a platter of their own cured meats, Florentine steak, and a side dish, as well as an à la carte menu, where you can choose your favorite cut of meat from their butcher shop literally across the street. The owners, father and son, are incredibly friendly and helpful, making everyone feel at home. Whatever your menu choice, they always offer excellent quality food, from the platter to the dessert. The wine selection is excellent to pair with the excellent meat. The restaurant is open mainly on weekends, and reservations are essential. You can then specify whether you prefer the fixed-price menu or à la carte.

13/08/2026: Excellent place – we let ourselves be guided by the manager, who didn't really speak English, but who knows her way around a panini shop. That's all they have on the menu, but the ingredients were truly excellent, everything made to order. The small lounge area was perfect for relaxing afterwards.

20/08/2026: Recommended pizzeria. Their signature dish is their pizza by the meter: light dough and generous toppings. The place has a beautiful outdoor space for summer evenings. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive, but an honorable mention goes to the owner: a delightful, welcoming person, always ready to chat. A huge plus is that you can almost always find a spot without having to go crazy with reservations. The quality/price ratio is also unbeatable.

25/10/2025: I went there for a graduation party one fall evening. The place was very nice inside, and it looked nice outside too, but it was raining, so we didn't go out. Good food and good service, nothing to complain about.

12/10/2025: I travel frequently for work from Sardinia to the Valdera area. And I absolutely cannot miss this irresistible encounter with the Antico Molino. Every time I enter this wonderful Tuscan farmhouse, meticulously cared for down to the smallest detail, every time I'm greeted by the owners with hospitality that is nothing short of familiar, and every time I sample each of their dishes, both on and off the menu, I feel like I'm living in a book of poetry. And every time I compare this restaurant to the many others I frequent, I realize that it's only here that I feel the immense desire to return. Well done! If it were possible, I'd give you 10 stars.

06/08/2026: I had the tartare. Very good and well-seasoned. The atmosphere needs to be reconsidered because the smell of fried food is strong and lingers even after you leave.

03/07/2026: After taking a detour from the FI-PI-LI highway, we stumbled upon this lovely little place for dinner! Friendly staff and delicious food! Carefully crafted and tasty dishes, perfectly crafted with street food style and Michelin-starred restaurant quality. The dessert I ordered was also delicious. I can't wait to return to try the other items on the extensive menu.

The atmosphere is wonderful, those branches outside, like a roof, are beautiful 😍 The service is very friendly; we were very pleased that the waitress spoke at least three words in Polish to us. Small, but very nice 🫶🫶 The restrooms are very clean and fragrant, there's no dirt at all. They served us two coffees very quickly! We barely waited at all! We really recommend it for a relaxing break. ❤️💆‍♀️🤭
